Sorry for losing your pup. It sucks at the end but it's always worth it. Had to put my older rescue husky down around Christmas. Got another dog. It was hard walking the new dog on his leash, but the circle always keeps going.
@Wolfy Because it’s a dog, they are ultimately all the same. The only difference lies in how much exercise and stimulus they need; a Maltese is fine with a twice a day 15 minute walk, a Malamute with that routine however will almost certainly end up destroying every single piece of furniture in your house.
@Wolfy Wow, you’re a condescending little prick aren’t you. Why do you think that dog escaped? A well trained dog who has enough exercise throughout the day would never escape. I could leave my gate open and my dog would just stare at it. The fact that the dog escaped is why. Prick.

Husky and German Shepard? Oh, Lord. You are in for some shedding, talking and running away! Chico got bored. He went on an adventure and, because he's a good boy, went back home. Love dogs. ❤️
I have the same mix and good lord, the shedding in spring is unreal. 2 Wal-Mart bags full of floof when me and my sister finished brushing him after 20 minutes.
I had a lab mix who would randomly go visit his grandpa..my father in law lived about half a mile away and Harley (my pup) would get out of the fence sometimes during the day while I was at work and hangout with him. The first time he did it I freaked out thinking he was lost forever..after awhile I knew just to call my father in law to see if he was there...always was. They are both gone now and I like to think they are together up in Heaven..
The fence at front is low enough for Chico to jump really easily. He’s probably been mapping out the whole neighbourhood for months whilst his owner is asleep!
It is true, just ask both the pure pedigree I called my ex-wife and the female lawyer that screwed me in court. Not to forget the female judge kicking me when I was down.
We had this golden retriever that would get out of his yard (owner was in her nineties) and come down to the jobsite every day.............just before LUNCH. His tags were good: we'd call the senior and send him home.............AFTER LUNCH.
A local dog from a farm kept sneaking two miles away to a store, walked through the automatic doors, right to where he knew the dog bones were. Stole the bones, walked right back home. The store put up wanted posters, and one day the owner showed up to the store again for a dog treat, and the dog was busted. It made local news, so hilarious.
@@groowanderer It was some national show. If it wasn't the evening news, maybe it was something like a little pallet cleansing story at the end of 20/20 when they had time to fill (because it's an adorable story lol). I definitely remember seeing the footage of fido walking into the pet store, walking over to where the treats were kept, turning his head sideways to pick up the treat, and making a swift getaway back out the door. lol When there is a favorite food/treat involved, dogs can remember how to get to that food/treat FOR YEARS. I've seen my own dog do it. He would drag me to a place I never go...but my friend had taken him there and they gave him turkey (at a human deli lol) and my dog tried to drag me back in the shop 2 years after we moved away and had not been back to the neighborhood once. I laughed and laughed that my dog stood outside that deli and tried to get in when people opened the door to come out. I could not believe what I was seeing. lol

Weird he'd go a mile, walk through the doors to the station, and put his feet up on the counter like he was looking for someone. Reincarnated police dog...? 😳
@TheFoolintherain Ours is a husky/ mally mix but we are really lucky, he doesn't jump ( a baby gate holds him) doesn't chew or wreck furniture, if we have to leave him all day ( doesn't happen often) he just sleeps. In fact even when we're home all day he sleeps, puts himself to bed if we're still up after 9pm! Loves his walks but is seriously a bit lazy. He loves little dogs but doesn't like Huskies, go figure! Plays with the baby lizards, washes them much to the mothers anger! He once chased a pigeon, head butted it, knocked it out then stood and cried cos it wasn't moving. He's a bit special 😅 As I said in another comment the fact that Chico went home after his trip out was down to the German Shepherd bit, the Husky bit would of been interstate 🤣🤣
Beautiful, sweet doggy! I had a Queensland Heeler/Husky mix for 15 years here on the goat ranch. He was so smart it was a little spooky. He loved living out here in the boonies, and was an excellent guard dog. One day I found out just how good. While mucking out a horse corral, I looked up to see a strange man approaching. I live way out in nowhere, but there was a minimum security prison about 4 miles from me. This guy was wearing a plain white sweatshirt, jeans, and flip-flops... standard prison issue. It was an "Oh crap" moment, as I realized I had no cellphone or pistol on me. Next thing I know, my normally gentle dog has his fangs sunk deep into the guys calf while my other dog pulled him to the ground by his arm. He managed to get up and run, leaving a blood trail. I called the sheriff and they found the guy easily. I was stunned at how my dogs responded! Both were very non-aggressive, calm dogs that hung around goats mostly. I didn't know they had it in them!

He doesn't fit on my lap anymore, but I don't mind if he still tries! He's such a sweet dog, and probably the best thing to happen for my friend in a long time. He has depression, and having this pup gives him reason to feel happy every day.
@peachion2 He’d do anything for his owner, but dogs aren’t great at assessing threats. There are countless videos of dogs greeting burglars with a wagging tail and possibly a toy.
Shen Doodles you have to take into account the breed. This is a shepherd/husky mix. I have a little Pomeranian, shy dog, loves everyone. I only saw him get aggressive once. Two delivery guys came to pick up an old freezer and my little dog actually attacked and bit one of them. I don’t know what the trigger was, but I completely trust that my dog perceived him as a threat.
I hear Huskies are notoriously bad at being guard dogs, they have so much energy that anybody, burglar or owner alike, coming to stimulate them will be greeted with glee.
Yes‼️🐶 Probably wanted police department secretary or Officers to play catch the bank robber . Police Officers saying to the dog " Hey boy go fetch me a bank robber "!

What I was doing in Ozone Park Queens NY I do not remember but what happened 30 days ago I found a military dog yes a military dog no ID. Never has this old lady found such a big strong dog. I took the dog and brought it home miles away in a car service. I put the dog away from my 10 rescued cats. Now what stayed tuned. A month ago a Spanish couple loss there old dog, the dog went one block a woman picked the dog us to stupid to hold the dog even for a day, took the dog to the NY ASPCA, By law it was supposed to be held x amount of hours before killing the dog. Well they killed the dog before x amount of hours and the Spanish couple went nuts adds in newspaper contact the legislator all too late.
When you find a dog for god sake hold on to the dog there may be a reward for the dog. Look for lost dog signs check animal shelters etc. Back to the military dog I found. I did call the police in the area where i found the dog then I got a call from the military man wanting the dog back. I refused to do that as he did something stupid so let him sweat and he did sweat, as later I saw he loved the dog so I gave it back to him in the hopes he will never lose such a dog as this dog was never again.
@user-bx1iq1jj5w what is with you and the weird lost animal stories. Out of the 2 that I read, you mention the race of every person involved when it has no bearing on the story whatsoever. Sorry for losing your pup. It sucks at the end but it's always worth it. Had to put my older rescue husky down around Christmas. Got another dog. It was hard walking the new dog on his leash, but the circle always keeps going.
I know exactly how you feel. It does get better but you will always remember. Best wishes from upstate NY!!
He needs training. Smart and wants instructions. Beautiful.
Are you kidding? He’s exactly the kind of dog they would want to train. Eager and energetic.
@@rachmae4180 that’s Husky’s energy, might be a little too much to handle
@@jetstream6389 He’s only hyper due to lack of exercise and stimulus.
@Wolfy Wow, you’re a condescending little prick aren’t you.
Why do you think that dog escaped? A well trained dog who has enough exercise throughout the day would never escape. I could leave my gate open and my dog would just stare at it.
The fact that the dog escaped is why. Prick.

I have the same mix and good lord, the shedding in spring is unreal. 2 Wal-Mart bags full of floof when me and my sister finished brushing him after 20 minutes.
Yes, You are so right. Chick got bored because his owner treats him like a inside cat. Do you think Chico gets walked everyday?
He is akita and gsd..not husky..he looks exactly like my dog..shepkita all day long ❤
I had a lab mix who would randomly go visit his grandpa..my father in law lived about half a mile away and Harley (my pup) would get out of the fence sometimes during the day while I was at work and hangout with him.
The first time he did it I freaked out thinking he was lost forever..after awhile I knew just to call my father in law to see if he was there...always was. They are both gone now and I like to think they are together up in Heaven..

We all saw that...it made the national news. Seriously. lol
@@le_th_ Haha crazy I didn't even know that it made national news
@@groowanderer It was some national show. If it wasn't the evening news, maybe it was something like a little pallet cleansing story at the end of 20/20 when they had time to fill (because it's an adorable story lol).
I definitely remember seeing the footage of fido walking into the pet store, walking over to where the treats were kept, turning his head sideways to pick up the treat, and making a swift getaway back out the door. lol
When there is a favorite food/treat involved, dogs can remember how to get to that food/treat FOR YEARS.
I could not believe what I was seeing. lol

I just hope he always finds his way back home safely.
Me too if not someone took him
A Husky & German Shepherd mix. Sounds like the dream breed.

Dogs have remarkable instincts. I guarantee if anyone was a threat to his owner, Chico would take him down.
