This is an incredible piece, keep up the amazing work!! I have a deep appreciation for environment painters that don't photobash (much). Not that photobashing isn't a valid way of painting and creating an artwork- Fully Handpainted pieces just give me a warm, oldschool feeling. Great job!
This reminds me of the castle from the movie, The Dark Crystal. I love it! I also do art speed paints on my channel. I've been drawing fantasy characters for a few years but I've been pushing out of my comfort zone recently and practicing more on fantasy landscapes and scenery. So this is very inspiring thank you for sharing! :)
Hello I've just discovered this channel and I must say, amazing paintings. Could you tell how you get so much texture so quickly? And how do you make the texture from the paterns and those from the brush strokes harmonize so well? Thank you for sharing your works! Cheers
Oh my goodness, I been aspiring to do this, but landscapes are not my strong feat.. I'm more into creature designs, but watching you do this makes me wanne a start a landscape art again!
Perhaps a stupid question but are you using a graphic tablet to do this ? Is it just possible to make some digital speed painting only with a mouse ? Great work as always, love it! And you really should create an artstation profile!
I've been wondering about the noise filter I see artists use in their paintings. For the longest time I thought it was caused by increasing the sharpness. Thanks for showing that! Been wondering for a while how people got that look.
Really enjoyed this! Question regarding your internal values. Did you use a brush with texture on it and then wrap the texture around the parts of the mountains you wanted to show?
Can someone fill me in on the mountain texturing. Im now trying to mess with detailed environments and such. That texture that was stretched across the ground and mountains. Was that custom made? Brush strokes? Im trying to translate the technique over to autodesk sketchbook mobile.
This is really amazing. Do you have any recommendations as far as tutorials go? I’ve been really wanting to do this sort of thing but I don’t have experience with photoshop.
Hey Alyn, do you have any tips for starting out on youtube? I started doing voice over speedpainting vids but youtube doesn't seem to recognize them (suggestion bar is full of bs).. any tips how to get it out there?
Fuck... I searched for oil fantasy paintings, saw you thumbnail and inmediately fell in love with the landscape, then I saw it isn't oil paint or paint at all. If it not with my hands I can't do shit 😔
Amazing video, great process! Love the sense of scale!

This is great. where did you get the textures that you laid down for the ground and mountainside?
I dont even slightly understand how any of this was created but that was awesome
Solid stuff. Thanks for sharing.
Very cool!

Super cool work, but what about layers and layers? How you even orientate in so many of them?
I dig it!

Did you hand paint the mountain textures on a separate layer and transform them?
Magnífico!
What brushes do you use for texture of the mountains and the grass

any tips how to get it out there?
What resolution do you normally use or does it vary?
Brutal.
i think the most comforting part of this video is the fact none of the layers are named
Question: Would you ever be interested in doing a tutorial video of some sort?
I'm planning to create some videos with commentary as soon as I have a little more free time :)
I wanna live there
