I sure like this couple. You can see they have a great relationship, he misses her company in the earlier decades when she's stuck in the kitchen and he's stuck in the dinning room....and their kids are great. Very little whining and it seems a sense of adventure. It's been a great series and I'm going to have withdrawal from this.

Extremely well done series. The family is precious! Great job, Giles - as usual. Would have been better if Sue Perkins also would have hosted the show. I guess you can't have it all. In any event, this is a terrific series!

I would love it if they did a sequel to this show where they explore medieval times, renaissance, Georgian, and Victorian eras.

There's a sequel of sorts called further back in time for dinner where they go from the 1900's to 1940's

I feel sad for this family. They show is good but the mom is positively depressed and appears very sad The kids and dad are very happy I’m glad for them
I think the mom brings everyone down and the girls keep everything together

Having Fred say that he wanted to live and work at that farm makes you think how kids may not like vegetables because they don't taste real even if they may never have experienced that 'real' flavour.

while i could relate to the 80's, the way they did 1990 is foreign to me. in reality, decades bleed one to the next, so there were no hidden cabinets or hidden refrigerator in my home, it was largely the same 80's stuff that got slowly fazed out throughout the 90's. And we didn't get a microwave until 1994.

The kitchen is really more like the 2000s/early 2010s. Way too modern looking for what would've been the 90s.

What about us getting pay as you go mobile phones? They were available to anyone by 97! My first mobile phone was a vodaphone from the post office! How can they miss that out?... MASSIVELY IMPORTANT part of 90s. Changed our world!

The produce from say Thailand such as mini majes and other things from the 3rd world were washed in polluted, even water they used as sewers. I am a cook and all this produce has to be rinced again and again and boiled before it is eatable so take extra care when preparing these ingredients.

The very mention of meat processing makes me sick, todays process for food is highly questionable when you understand what its about & who is tampering with clean food sources like Monsanto. I dont like to buy touch or cook meat after Britain's Mad Cow Scare. I eat far less than I use too.

I love this family, especially now that they have returned for Further Back, but why does Brandon always have to PROVE he knows something about each time period? "This is a remote. Now for the first time you can change the channel without getting up." "Its the First Master Chef! I didn't know it'd be going this long, I really didn't."

I don't care if he is Plato. He is there to offer his reaction TO the change, not educate ABOUT the change. He can often come across as a know-it-all.
