    No offence but how the heck is a $1.2 million home something the average person can “move to”? If you could find something under $350k, you’re getting closer, but that still means a 2-income family making in excess of $200k per year. It’s a shame so many places aren’t affordable.

      I wouldn't say the "average person" can afford most homes in BC, no. But those prices are to be expected when you live here.

      @@Ritaisrelocating I used to live in BC so I get the joy of living there. But my goodness, those prices aren’t warranted. Populations aren’t going to grow if a community is reliant on only 1%-ers to move there. However, real estate pricing doesn’t make much sense. I used to live in Calgary and I’d see homes to downtown for $1 million and I’d think, “you spend all that money and the house is still in Calgary.”
