Good questions! Shifter is the stall on the right side of the steering column. The only Phone charger I saw was in the center console of the Traveller. The metal rail on the top of the dash is meant to mount a wide variety of accessories and electronics to. Monthly subscriptions have not been announced yet. More to come on Scout so stay tuned! The R2 will certainly have the power to tow more but it will be moreso limited by suspension and braking parameters. Thanks for watching! Scout is targeting 60k range to start. Electric offers incredible performance and virtually zero maintenance plus the ability to be a rolling power bank for work or play. Add the Harvester and you’ve got a gas generator on board pumping range beyond 500 miles. A straight gas truck doesn’t have a hope of offering that level of utility, savings and performance. I believe it will be appropriate for the size of the vehicle. The range of the pure electric version is approximately 350 miles while the Harvester range extender bumps that into the 500 mile range. Ram has some very significant issues before they get any of that Ramcharger mess to market. With any electrified vehicle software is Paramount. The fact that Rivian is developing Scout software makes me confident in them. Unfortunately Stellantis is at the opposite end of that spectrum.

@ If it can recharge fast enough, it could be a good tow vehicle. If it’s too weak, it might be a problem towing in the mountains when energy is depleted faster than the generator can replenish. They seem more focused on off-roading, which I love, but some trade-offs are inevitable if this is going to be affordable. The current batch of EV trucks can off-road, but aren’t really usable for towing road trips. The first one to make it work will have a large market. BYD Shark, Ramcharger or Scout?

From what I heard, it's going to be an engine sourced from the VW line up of engines. My guess, based on packaging constraints (and that they aren't getting rid of the frunk) it's going to be a 3 cylinder with a sub 10 gallon gas tank (given the extra 150 miles of range) probably somewhere around a 5 gallon tank. This likely won't be able to substitute a full gasser for heavy mountain hauling, but may do fine for lighter 3000 lb or less loads.

@ How much horsepower or kW will it generate?

@@JamesBabb no clue what the harvester will have, but my guess is we will see some version of the rabbit three cylinder in it. The specs for those have a range, so you may need to pick your own opinion on it haha.

That is an excellent question. These states that are blocking direct sales are not operating in the best interest of their citizens. In fact, it seems quite unconstitutional.

Maybe they should have negotiated this prior to building the factory.

Good point Drew. That feature is definitely not out of the question. These are reproduction units so they still have fine-tuning to do. All of the seats are static and just for looks at this point. Both good questions. Pricing hasn’t been pinned down yet as this is a pre-production product. My understanding is that it could be in a similar ballpark to the Model Y Performance, perhaps a bit more as it is far more powerful and more capable off-road. As for Auto Pilot, Rivian calls their ADAS system “Driver+” and they are developing their own hands free system. Let me go on the record of saying... Several million dollars in total assets... 10 or 20 million dollars in total assets... Maybe even a bit more then that... But that's not rich... That's upper middle class... And I am not opposed to be getting payed well for what they do... But... Here's some info you probably have never heard. If you don't believe me look it up! Found a study where a group of monkeys where given a chest full of shinny things... And and the out come of that experiment looks very very similar to what's happening at the higher forms of government world wide. So what happen during the experiment? Well only a small percentage had most of the shinny things... And would violently defend and attack other monkeys for their shinny things. That's how they had so much... The humans do the same concept... But there are a few differences... We have language... So now instead of the greedy monkeys using violence... The greedy humans use language... Make up new words and definitions that allow them to gain a huge upper hand on everybody else. They are still stealing from the others but instead of using violence they use language and law to justify their means. Hitler tried this same technique but in a very violent way. Something to think about!
