  • Two abbreviated enemy names. Redundant, much?
Well, one has a long-winded name and the other, well, I don't know what his name stands for. Anyway, NME, a powerful boss robot from Apogee's indie-classic Rise of the Triad, faces off against a sprite edit of the final boss of said game, and he is known as the Experimental Flame Leviathan.
The NME doesn't look like much, in fact, he looks like an older version of R2D2, but one shouldn't judge a book by its cover. It constantly fires rockets at its target, though with some accuracy sacrificed for the constant howitzer barrage. It has an impressive 10266 HP, so it won't go down easy. Not only this, but it is quick, at least when it does move, so one needs to use hitscan weapons against it to be most effective.
The EFL is a sprite edit of El Oscuro, the final boss of ROTT. He does have significantly less health than the NME; 7500 HP. However, he makes up for it in his attack capabilities. He wields the awesome power of fire, and can do just about anything you imagine with it. He sends chunks of magma towards a target, fires searing fireballs, makes fiery comets rain down from the sky, and well, you know the drill. He possesses the power to fly, and he looks like he can go ethereal as well (I can't confirm this yet), fading in and out of solidity.
Pyromaniac demon fights a bodyguard machine packing many thousands of constantly firing rockets; who will win?

Wow, NME's just as nasty as it is in its native game.
