Long trains on the Iowa Interstate Railroad
In this video, we ventured far out of our "Blue Ridge" territory in search of the Iowa Interstate Railroad out of Davenport, Iowa. The Iowa Interstate rosters 20 ES44AC Gevo units, some built new, and a handful acquired from CSXT.
We would start off by catching the Blue Island To Council Bluffs manifest train BICB, which met counterpart CBBI at Wilmot, IA. The CBBI had the "Rock Island" heritage locomotive leading, which we chased back to Davenport.
We then went into the World's Largest Truck Stop in Walcott, IA, before heading back out for CRSI.
This is just one of MANY videos to come feom the Midwest, so stay tuned!
Thank you guys for watching, and I'll see ya in the next one! ~ 🎶 🎶 🎶 #train #911 # #video #9553 #classic camera
Cool 😎 chase on some nice looking GEs and shot of Nathan K5LA air horn, nice drone footage!🛤🚂👍
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed!
506 and 507 have the SD70ACE LOUD HORNS on them now.
Thats good stuff BRR. I chased a CSX coal train yesterday for several miles and never could get in front of it.

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed, Kyle!!
Great video, lose the annoying background music. All I need to hear is your commentary and the railroad sounds
Thank you! We will take that into consideration.
The videos you are producing are like a "I can't wait til the next one" series! Thank you Nathan!
Thank you!

Another fine video! I loved the drone portion. You might be making Kyle a bit jealous though, lol.
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed, nah, Kyle is part of the team!!
YES!! LOL
Cool video! Anyone know ???? When they go to Peoria,il do they cross bn or up when they turn south at Hennepin area. Was taxi to crew to hotel. Real nice crews
Thank you! That's a question for someone else, so I'll let them answer.
i've been along that part of the rail road many many times and never got that lucky.
They Cross BNSF at Chillicothe on BN's Chilli sub. And they don't turn south at Hennepin, they turn south at Bureau Junction.
Just so you know, the 516 is NOT a Rock Island Heritage unit. The IAIS only has one heritage unit and that is the 513. 516 is an "Iowa Interstate" commemorative anniversary unit that just happens to loosely resemble (notice the word "loosely" as it's not the exact scheme) red and yellow Rock colors. And your drone shot was a little higher than 400 feet agl, better be careful buddy.
⚠️🙄🤡 ELITIST KNOW IT ALL ALERT
Great video 👍👍

Nice video man....i grew up with this railroad, catching the first road trains for Chicago back in the fall of 1985. That was BICB you caught with 508........507 and 506 have different horns now....LOUD!
Thank you! Very cool. They're definitely loud lol.
Well, again a wobderful video. Perfekt. The drohne flyby was great to see something about country-side of the state. The music in background was a perfekt choice, an Inspiration. Thanks for this perfekt video.
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed, looking forward to more comments from you in the future!!! Have a great rest of your day!
WOW. . .What a fantastic railfan video and thank you for sharing it too! The drone shot is awe inspiring as it brought back memories of some C-130 cockpit views I
had while in the Florida National Guard but this was much better. . .the beauty of the landscape with the train making it's down the line. . .much better than any summer camp for me. Having lived in central FL all of my life, seeing the might of agriculture this way made my day. Once a Future Farmer, always a Future Farmer of America and a railfan too.
That drone shot of the train crossing the corn fields on that straight track is one of the best railfan images that I have ever seen on the internet.
Thank you, that means alot! Glad you liked it!
Great video of this cool railroad!
Thank you!
Wonderful 😮
Thank you!
