Autopsy report says drugs that Chris Cornell took did not cause death

- (2 Jun 2017) AUTOPSY: DRUGS TAKEN BY CHRIS CORNELL DIDN'T CAUSE DEATH
Autopsy reports show Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell had sedatives and an anxiety drug in his system on the night he died by hanging himself in his Detroit hotel room.
The reports say the drugs didn't contribute to the cause of death but don't elaborate. The reports were released Friday (02 JUNE 2017) by the Wayne County medical examiner, two weeks after the 52-year-old was found dead.
Dr. Theodore Brown says a resistance band was around Cornell's neck, and the other end was attached to a clip over the top of the bathroom door.
The report says there were sedatives in Cornell's body along with Lorazepam, a drug for anxiety. Cornell's widow, Vicky Cornell, has said the toxicology report might shed light on why he killed himself.

Ok the crime scene show 3 bottles. Nothing was photographed of other medicine in room. I just researched hanging from long and short distances. Long neck snaps. Short is an agonizing slow death. Your Eyes and capillaries will bleed out and they says Chris had blood coming out of mouth. Sorry but it didn't say a thing. Plus I'm sorry in my research men will get an erection from all the blood build up and women it happens to them also. I've never seen 9 ribs broken doing CPR.
I don't mean to upset anyone but I was devastated when Chris died but also Chester.
Cynthia Gonzales you and me both devastated yet baffled by this horrible loss. Yes, he had a history of depression, but it would have been much more likely to happen in the 90’s than in 2017. And if he simply did it because he was depressed, there has to be a reason why he was depressed beyond having a history of depression. Could it have been relationship problems, personal medical issues, the US political dumpster fire, or just that the past problems suddenly spiked with no external trigger? There certainly are holes in the story, but I don’t trust any official reports until the evidence is crystal clear.
Cynthia Gonzales And Chester died the same way, apparently. Cornell had a foundation that fought for children who were trafficked, and I believe Chester had a connection to it as well. It's no coincidence if you ask me. The 3 bottles were; A bottle for ulcer pills, a bottle for pills that help with arthritis and several other issues, and then a disinfectant agent. None of that had anything to do with affecting his mental state to begin with. Even if he was overdosed on anti-anxiety meds accidentally he either took 'em himself or his bodyguard knowingly gave him too many. That was really the first time his bodyguard had to hold pills for him? Wouldn't Chris know better than to take too many? He's a thoughtful aware guy. Certainly seems fishy.

@@WeirdEdz There were indeed all the "fan" complaints with Bennington. Also there was some TV show episode that a former co-worker discussed with me that said that Cornell had an addiction in the months leading up to his death. Of course that's just the "official story" so likely things are deeper to some extent.

I'll probably get roasted for this but hanging isn't that simple. Too long a rope and your head gets torn off, but short-rope doesn't mean strangulation. It depends where the knot is, the body positioning, the angle - anybody seriously researching suicide will soon find that short-rope hanging can be one of the fastest, easiest ways to go because the knot positioning causes unconsciousness within 40 seconds. If you've had serious depression, 40 seconds pain is nothing. Do it right and you're out much quicker than that and it doesn't matter that strangulation is slow if you can't feel it.
As for resus....it's brutal. A resus attempt was made on another patient once when I was in hospital and I will never forget the sound of her ribs breaking. Successful resus nearly always involves breaking ribs, it's not the relatively passive, always successful we see on TV. Extreme force is used, has to be used, and stuff gets broken. You might be resuscitated then end up with a punctured lung, it's that violent a process.
I'm not meaning to come over as an arsehole because this isn't everyday stuff and a lot of misinformation is being put out there through channels that we cannot verify. It's impossible to separate the facts from the misrepresentation and these are just two examples - there are other things that seem ??? but I don't know how reliable the sources are or have the expertise to assess the info. But neither of these two particular things are unusual or unexplained, they're classic signs of short-term hanging and resus.
