She got hit in the face with a catapult, I ran to help her back on her feet, I ran away, Ashley got hit by the same catapult again, and we repeated this 5 times. And after all that, Leon asked her if she's hurt and she said no. Even Mr. X and Nemesis would have asked for a break.
This actually happened as I literally forgot about her for a second and went straight looting some crates. I actually thought she'd wait for me to get back. I kinda felt bad seeing that. Lmao

She was ‘t a 1 hit ok in the original. Only in you attacked her. She had her own lifebar and when it was at max capacity she could take 3-4 hit, depending on the enemy.

In Waterhall, when Ashley got surrounded by 6 Ganados, while trying to use the second lever, I threw a grenade, which killed the Ganados and incapacitated Ashley. At first, I thought I'd get a game over after a few seconds or that I'd have to wait until a Ganado picked her up, considering that I wouldn't be able to revive her myself but then she just got up by herself after a bit of time and proceeded to lower the walkway.
I got to say, I'm really happy with how they handled Ashley's character in this remake. She's a much more grounded character and I appreciate that. Also, with that being said I have an opinion to share... I think Leon should continue the Graham bloodline.

Leon is very strong and acrobatic in these games. Acrobats can catch people falling 4.5 metres, in reality Leon's arms are above so she is falling something like 4.3 metres
In the remake she clearly hates being any sort of burden or danger to Leon to the point that she only runs away initially because she's worried that the parasite will make her hurt him, and later on pushes herself a lot to try and pull her weight despite being completely untrained.
We already know that Ashley could become an agent along with Leon, she managed to jump from a height of 6 meters and drive a wrecking tractor. I love how capcom changed her personality from a girl who was previously boring and useless, to a girl with utilities. They avenged the character.
