Great vid, seems exactly what I need, well, actually need it the other way around, but will assume that's possible, ie control HA from NR. My aim is just to use the HA dashboards, this is the only part of this obfuscated cryptic nightmare in HA that is the draw for me now, nothing I seem to touch in the bowels of HA actual work here, I have had countless hours getting no where, but NR, a masterpiece as I am sure you would agree and can handle all the control of home devices, mainly mqtt here, perfectly well, some struggles now and again but that's to be expected. So, have had NR working as home controller for a few years running faultless with the NR dashboard, while it is good, but they say the HA dashboard is supposed to be king, and with some of the creations I have seen they do look good, so my idea was to to use NR to do all the work and just use the HA as the UI. As you seem to be highly competent in both, I would be honoured with your opinion on my idea and it's possibility with NR and NR Companion, as I have been burned now so much with HA I don't think I can ever warm to it with any confidence whatsoever, but am prepared to just to try and get to grips as best as possible with only the dashboard part. You may remember me you kindly gave some pointers a while ago on some HA discovery issues I had. Kind Rgds, and keep up the good work, PS I am using ESPHome just fine with some custom projects and when I started that some of your vids were responsible for getting me up and running so thks again.
Thanks! The location moved from the config folder at some point. I believe it's now in the "addon_configs" folder. Try using Samba and see if you can find the folder.
Suggestion: When you are doing these videos, start at the end. Demonstrate the capability that the rest of the video will explain how to implement, then explain how to implement it. When you start with "the first thing we want to do is go to HACS" you've immediately turned off a lot of your audience.
This video is about allowing you to expose Node-RED nodes in Home Assistant. The left menu item is the Node-RED add-on which I'm assuming is already installed / in use. By default you get access to Home Assistant entities in Node-RED but not the other way around. So this shows you what you need to install to expose Nodes in HA. Hopes this helps clarify.

Another node red amazing tip
Please keep them coming 😉
Thank you very much❤
Nice video. How to get dark mode in node red on HA. I do not find the settings.js file using the Studio Code Server in HA

Didn't use this feature so far but maybe from now on.
Seems to make sense in quite a lot cases :)
bonsoir

“Expose as” doesn’t work when I try to add new item to the list; any way to fix that..?

Thanks for the comment and feedback. Yes I agree and I have been doing that a lot more lately.
I am actually experimenting a little at the moment.
but you had node red in the menu on the left before you installed any of it? This wasn't all that helpful if im honest.
