In your example of using the Else statement, it would be worth pointing out that the States of the door sensor could be more than On or Off, so for the Sharp Tools and Node Red examples, the Else statement would be triggered if the State of the sensor changed to Unavailable (for example) In your Use Case it does not have much impact - turning off and already off light - but in others it could. I use HA Automations as, for me, Node Red solves issues that I do not have, . I had not come across Sharp Tools but would personally avoid a commercial product.
