I have taught and played this concerto for over 50 years and I do believe this is the best and most beautiful performance of it that I have ever heard. Bravo!
THE TONE SIS THE TONE OH MY GOD AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
What an amazing violinist! Why isn't he popular? I think he is the best violinist in his generation. He is better than many of the ones I have heard and known before. I am so emotionally affected by the sound of his violin playing which is so dauntingly beautiful.
Kerson is the real deal. One would think he was born with a fiddle in his hand. He looks and moves so naturally... effortless and beautiful. Such a full, rich and clear tone. A true master. Thank you!
@@blinkkeebs Recommend Mr Leong's recent performance ua-cam.com/video/eUP58M7DPw8/v-deo.html , starting from 42:42 is the most frightening Der ErlKonig version I ever heard.
This is a strong rendition of Bruch's most established work. The violin entry is particularly confidently delivered here, with superb tone production from a highly refined bow arm that truly commands the room. Kerson is a thrilling artist, mature far beyond his years, and his deeply analytical, reflective approach to the instrument is on beautiful display here. There is much excellence to be expected from this outstanding Canadian artist in the years to come.
Hello Kerson, you are absolutely the world-best violinist for me! Your tone is so lovely and heart-melting especially at 16:00 ♡ Best wishes from Germany😊
It's like you're singing really well in your head and letting it be conveyed through your violin. I don't usually listen to classical music unless I'm studying. This makes me want to listen more. I can feel every note. Your musical imagination is awesome!
His contrast in opposing voices in the 2nd movement is outstanding!! Bright notes played really bright and dark notes played really dark.. dynamic control is superb!!
This is the best violin performance that I have seen so far and that has moved me the most, his interpretation of the piece is so beautiful and expressive. He must’ve worked incredibly hard to have reached such an extreme level of mastery.
I need a better quality recording of this Bruch, maybe even on spotify. I really love your interpretation, I sincerely cried of joy while listening to this! Thanks you.
That s what real talent on top of enormous work and high intelligenceis. The feeling the listener gets that is right! Phrase, the musical intonation, all of that which maybe was brought by the soul and can not be gained no matter what! Wonderful!
You have such a characteristic sound... Even if I didn't know it was you performing I could easily come to this conclusion by your playing. This is one of biggest reason why I truly admire and respect the great artist you are.
20:55 for the darkest tone ever produced by a violin! "This is where the Del Gesu truly roars, on the G string, however a Stradivari pales in comparison and the G string seems to lack profundity" - W.E. Hill.
Superb high-level performance right here! Great Control at every note beautiful preparation at every phrase! Marvelous Musician! Bravo my friend!! Bravo!!!
The sound you extract of that violin is superb. Your passion is contagious... Congratulations on a memorable performance. Of course with the backing of a great orquesta that was also magnifique!!
Hmmm i thought i had published! Damn, you are so amazing....i love your sound so much, you have this thing, ( you are going to be big) and your sibelius is also incredible! Xxx
Absolutely amazing, possibly the best recording out there, but I just wish it was like 10 beats slower, but that’s just my preference. If it was I’d probably pass away and wouldn’t be able to exist anymore in like any reality because then it would just be way too perfect.
Great performance! I just wish there was a different conductor. He conducts so early that it confuses the orchestra and leaves them unsure of when to play. It would sound more unison with a better conductor.
I WOULD GIVE JUST ABOUT ANYTHING TO HEAR YOU DO THE BRAHMS WITH THE LOS ANGELES PHIL! YOU, THEN AUGUSTIN AND THEN SATO ON BAROQUE VIOLIN AND FINALLY RAY CHEN.
3:26 - when you smack that finger down hard on the fingerboard so you can hear if its in tune before playing the next big note lol only real ones will know about that
Mr Leong is definitely underrated violinist. I don’t know why such brilliant violinist is not promoted enough by recording companies.
For me, Kerson Leong is the one best Violinist in this century .
Definitely agree !
Yes sir
I don't think there will be much dispute on that
Me too
That made me laugh
I have taught and played this concerto for over 50 years and I do believe this is the best and most beautiful performance of it that I have ever heard. Bravo!
have you heard sergey khachatryan's version of this? well you should!

For me, too: Kerson Leong is definitely one of the best violinists in our time.
They basically already have
This is perfect. Every single note is full of emotion.
Henri Roy OK, there were 2 or 3 small glitches.🤓
Fully agree! Also his other videos, such as Kreisler's musical sketches.
Man, Kerson ain't playing games, the REAL DEAL right here.

You play much better than many famous young recording artist. You should be very famous - many recording contracts and lots of publicity.
I agree
Can't agree more. His sound really reminds me of Heifetz.
@@leodelonix155 Exactly my friend! This is the first time I hear and I have the same feel

His vibrato and bow control from 4:24 to 6:02 is just beyond perfection. So beautiful, sensitive, elegant...
It is Projection technique, not vibrato at all
Guys, just remember: this is the best violinist ever
I fully agree .. so much beauty
I'm speechless everytime he plays
Ecstasy - to listen to this genius playing this great piece!
Superb high-level performance right here! Great Control at every note beautiful preparation at every phrase! Marvelous Musician! Bravo my friend!! Bravo!!!
The more I listen to your recordings the better you get.
I heard him live in Shenandoah, Iowa last night performing a full program of classic violin solos. His talent is phenomenal!
One in a lifetime of all violinist, the true one is you.

Wow! just wow! Absolutely love this performance. Great work!
Wow every note doesn’t let in at all!! Constant waves and power
The intro is very iconic to me and I love it
This is so beautifully played...it took my breath away
What a beautiful tone after hearing this I had to search to see if he has performed the Korngold and yes!!! 🎻💥👍🏾
Very nice balance of incredible technique and his music-making!! I will definitely advice my future children to go study with him ...
Wow...........So beautiful..........
This is amazing omg. Thank you for the inspiration
I just want to know who the jealous 20 thumbs down are. He rocks. Just inspirational playing.
Breathtaking performance. Superb 👏👏👏

This is mind blowing.
Love me some Kerson; he plays with such reckless abandon, and I mean that in the best way possible.
I'm in love with that ........! Absolutely brilliant
Incredible playing
Kerson!!! Teach me your ways!!! So good!

Kerson Can't just be a human, I am Human i know what I'm talking about.

Great performance! I just wish there was a different conductor.
He conducts so early that it confuses the orchestra and leaves them unsure of when to play. It would sound more unison with a better conductor.
I definetly feel the conductors rushing alot.
finally glad to be taking French to understand the lady's intro of you.
I was hoping the captions had an English translation because I also wanted to know what she was saying.
This quality of sound is a crime.
Sempre bom escuta-lo.
I WOULD GIVE JUST ABOUT ANYTHING TO HEAR YOU DO THE BRAHMS WITH THE LOS ANGELES PHIL! YOU, THEN AUGUSTIN AND THEN SATO ON BAROQUE VIOLIN AND FINALLY RAY CHEN.
I love how he plays and follow he on instagram but Who dropped the Coin al 4:10? As a lover of the perfect audio and quality it destroied it
At 6:02, that hand on the far right, one of the orchestral players... interesting bow hold.
Bravo !
Achivo maestro!
This was probably his last concert that year. If this was actually March 19 2021.
POWERHOUSE!!! Zukerman/Mintz/Leong!!! The new Rabin.
I feel attacked. But it's quite pleasant. an oxymoron. The fierceness of the piece juxtaposed against amazingly beautiful playing.
I definitely agree with xu John
Bravo
Rarely does good physique enhance music playing abilities. I guess it really helps base on the tone control shown by him.
