I kinda hopped to hear in the previous video about the war between the infinite empire and the republic, apart from that its a little shocking go from 0 volume to hearing you,i think that the sound bouncing between your walls. Anyway great video man, i hope to see more of you, greetings from Argentina!
Yeah for now, i was just focused on the battles where the sith were involved. But i think sometime later, i'll come back to the infinite empire, alsakan conflicts, chiss wars and so on.
@@StickmanAnakinSince most of the content you cover is Legends lore (obvious given the era) with some small buts of canon, going post-ROTJ will you go by the EU continuity or are you just using Legends when they don't contradict the current lore? PS: If the latter, I hope you'll still do the old canon version at some point.
I've got both scripted out actually, the current canon and the old EU canon. However, I will be going after the EU canon for the main part of this series, so Thrawn, Dark Empire, Yuuzhan vong and so on...the current canon will come in time but I prefer the old timeline and stories
@@StickmanAnakin Congrats, that's the correct answer 😉. If a small suggestion makes a difference, the Essential Atlas is imo the best source for a post-rotj coverage out there, especially the Bantam era. It focuses on the key points and ties everything together in a way that's most compatible with the movies. Stuff like Dark Empire suddenly makes sense for instance.
Honestly, the Republic-Sith Empire Wars and Jedi-Sith Conflicts/Wars are very interesting and entertaining to learn about. Honestly, if it weren't for the fact that the OT were set in the Empire, and instead way before (maybe to the time of the Force Wars), then the timeline would have been even more interesting, especially during the High Republic Era, which could have seen conflicts between Jedi who thought they should have a warrior like stance to combat future forces and Jedi who wanted to act as diplomats and teachers/explorers.
I wonder how many Star Wars fans realized EA GAMES could have made a Star Wars and Dead Space cross over game and it actually would work and fit into the lore of star wars
Very nice video, like the other. The mentioning of the HIIIIIIIIIGH republic made me feel a great... disturbence. Anyhow, I think looking at how many great wars there had been in the Star Wars Galaxy and how they utterly screwed galactic society, the relative technological stagnation of a galaxy that has an over 25.000 year history does make more sense without that context.
So if the plan is to skip the second galactic civil war and just go over legends (witch I have no problem with) may I ask how many new wars are there in Disney cannon that contradict legends
In the eu, the war never really stopped after the galactic civil war. Thrawn came in, then the emperor was revived and a bit later the vong invaded the galaxy, it was almost a continous conflict. In disney canon it's the stuff up to the battle of jakku, after that, the empire's gone and slowly the first order rises...that's the canon part i'm aware of I'll be covering the canon wars as well though in a seperate video i decided as there really aren't too many and they're quite straightforward.
Seriously though, where the hell’s the republic’s intelligence? How can the Sith go on for centuries with building huge armies in secret, multiple times over galactic history lol
The Sith Empire had its own intelligence agency.......Imperial Intelligence,an organisation that makes even the ISB of the Galactic Empire look like a bunch of toddlers. However the Republic did also have its own intelligence agency though......it's the SIS (Strategies Information Service).
I mean, it's kind of hard to get rid of the Sith, when you have Jedi in your government, and the Jedi were responsible for Sith existence. And then you had Exar Kun being corrupted by Sith spirits and holocrons, you had an offshoot tribe of the Sith, and you had a devastating war that left galaxy torn in ruins and lack of progress, with some planets going to stone age. And during this, THE Sith Empire is patiently awaiting, and whenever someone tries to mess with them in their space, they do "make it double and pass the other galactic government", that's how Mandalorians went on a crusade against Republic, thats how Revan and Malak became Darth Revan and Darth Malak, and that's also how Soon and Nihilus became who they are and purged the Jedi order for the first time.
Stay tuned for Part 3 & 4 where we'll cover everything from the Invsion on Naboo till the Thrawn Campaign and beyond :D
Literally almost everything in the old republic is more interesting than most stuff Disney created, we need to see the era on screen
Yes, agree fully
I appreciate the "most". Disney has made alot of trash, but some of its pretty damn good.
Great Video. I love watching Star Wars history videos, even though I know ehat happens.

I was not aware of that...thanks a lot for bringing that to my attention.

You forgot star wars
Have you played SWTOR?
Actually no, I've played both Kotors but never SWTOR
@ you should play it, it’s a great game. I could tell you hadn’t played it because of the way you pronounced vitiate
Seriously though, where the hell’s the republic’s intelligence? How can the Sith go on for centuries with building huge armies in secret, multiple times over galactic history lol
Yeah right hahaha, but you gotta tell the story somehow

Now explain every star.
