I have seen so many off gridders here, it's pretty amazing but also the reason I want bigger land so I can distance myself from neighbors a bit lol.

I live in Washington. I love it here especially after living 15 years in Arizona where it’s 122 in the Summer. I told my hubby I wanted to move back home and we did. I lost my mom in 2012. While I still miss her fiercely, it does get easier. The best advice I can give you, is to cry and cry every chance you get. It is part of the healing process. Hang in there girl.❤️❤️
Hugs, thanks. I think losing my mom and then my oldest son shortly after were a huge blow, but I feel Im on the upside of things now

Yes, he passed from end stage renal disease on New years Day last year. He was 35 but still my baby
Its amazing how much our stories match . I lost my mom in November and buried her the day before Thanksgiving . I'll call the city this morning and let you know what they say . In the mean time , give hugs to friends and I'll talk to you soon .

My Dad moved in with my husband and I. It took me a year before I could go through his things after he passed. I tried occasionally and I would just break down. I also cherish the time I had with him. You will always have those special moments held in your heart. I am so excited to follow along with all your new adventures!! Hugs to you.
I think going through mom's stuff kinda forces us into the grief process faster. I lost my dad 30 years ago, I still grieve but not as much as I did that first year.
I am excited for 2021 all good things to come!
So sorry for your loss of your mom and all the drama that went a long with it. Nothing wrong with crying....looking forward to seeing "YOUR" next journey. Being able to spend her last days with her was I'm sure was a blessing.

Hello Ann Marie. I am sorry for your loss, and I am glad that her daughters were with her. Grief is hard, but it is good to talk about it. I am glad to see you still working on your dreams. I hope you find that perfect land and build that perfect home! Your forever homestead.

Thank you! Yes I think youtube deleted a lot of my subs because I was gone 6 months and not uploading videos during that time. I was so blessed to be able to spend that time with my mom ❤ Looking forward to where God takes me next :)

Good luck with your land search. Sorry for your loss. I had to say goodbye to my father and mother recently, and three of my children over the years. It is always a difficult process.
Thank you! I know grieving is a process and will take time. Just glad I got to spend a lot of time with her the last 6 months. For that I am blessed

So sorry about your mom. :( Good luck on your transition. I lived in SE Washington (the side that doesn't get 10 months of rain a year - Lol!), and the land prices were terrible there. We didn't have the luxury of moving very far, and this last summer we found a place just across the Oregon border where land prices were just a tad cheaper (but really not much better). I'd love to move to another state, but God's plan for us is here. I look forward to watching you on your new journey!

Omgoodness, I just came across this older video... I went thru something similar with my mom but it was about 12 yrs ago. She passed of congestive heart failure. I'm so sorry to hear this story but I also know it's a release to be able to tell it.

Ya it took me several weeks to even be able to talk about it. Then having to move and find land at the same time was a bit overwhelming. God put me right where He wanted me :)

I missed your videos while you were gone. I'm anxious to see whatever your new place will be and all you will do on it.
After hurricane Harvey ruined my house here on the Texas Gulf Coast I started looking for another place, far far away from hurricane alley. I had been through the Missouri Ozarks 16 years ago and fell in love with it. I got a Zillow app, poked in what I was looking for and my price range (very cheap lol) and found a lot of really good deals there.
But, my property with a ruined house on it here was not worth much and I'm too old to start on a mortgage, so I just bought a big RV and live in it, in my property.
I sure do like the ozarks though. I know you will too.

Annmarie, So sorry for your loss. Just hold on the the memories they will sustain you. Sorry that you will lose the tiny house but you can do something better, I'm sure of it. What are you going to do with your animals? You could either sell or give to another homesteader locally in WA, of course this means purchasing/bartering for all new ones.
My sister is staying on the land, she will keep the animals. Except my doggie!! I won't be bringing my cats, I can't see putting them thru the trauma of a week long cross country car ride.

@@BigDreamsTinyBudget about 2 years year ago I saw an off grid 2 bed 1 bath cabin in Kalispell Montana on 213 acres for only $155k. I wanted it so bad but because of family issues I couldn't... so disappointing

I know what you going though I picked up the phone to call my mom 👩 🤣 to ask her questions about how to grow a garden well when to plant 🪴 vegetables, and other things about plants the grow out in the woods I broke 💔 down because we laughed 😅 a lot I would say crazy things she woul call me out law because I say all kind of silly 😜 stuff ,and she would call me to cut ✂️ her toe nail 💅 I have two sisters but it was the way she like me to Do,well GOD BLESS YOU WITH EVERYTHING GOD WANT YOU TO DO MERRY CHRISTMAS 🎅 🎄 KEEP WARM AND SAFE GOD BLESS 🙌
Aw Bless you! My mom would also call me to cut her nails for her. She didnt trust any one else to do it. She also always wanted me to drive her instead of my 4 siblings LOL. I guess she trusted me behind the wheel more because I was an insurance agent and drive like a little old lady haha. I miss her terribly
