Every turn amazing views, great dirt and you get to blast out on this amazing road back to town then to the Scorpion brew pub. Great vid !

    You can loop Onion creek, however, that would mean you'd have to go UP Rose garden and that would not be fun on a 790/890...to say the least! Best to start at Dewey bridge then go top of the world Dolores river- and down Rose Garden. Going down Rose Garden on a 500cc would be the biggest bike I would personally take down RG.

    Glad others mentioned the loop route. Many people watch vids w a Trail Name in the title, to learn about that trail route - wee like seeing the map overview, how you learned of it, the mileage, landmarks to see, reason the road is there, how it gets its name, turn around reasons /turn options, fuel burned, etc. Some details could be researched on the ride with your Trail tech or phone GPS while waiting for others. Could show closeups of the Voyager Pro route during, mentioning features you are using, cost, why you spent the $ vs other options. Just to add more value to the vid since the wide angle view of roads even in canyons, does not vary much over the entire route.

    That snow and ice is nerve wracking even on my WR450F. I just got back from riding Hatfield Trails. All the creeks were half frozen and trails half covered in snow and ice. Definitely a challenge. Went down hard later in the day when things turned to deep mud. Learned to steer with the rear and not turn the front wheel in the slick stuff. Have to be on your toes for sure and watch your line. The black ice was treacherous.

      @@EverySingleSunday I had only ridden it 888 miles and never beat it up. I am torn between the KTM 500 XCf-W or the 500 EXC. The XCF-W I figure would be the least expensive option to turn into road legal as it has the power and I wouldn't have to change out the ECU I assume. But, my local shop does not have any 500 XCF available only the 350.

    I'm envious. Fun ride, great video.
    My problem would be is I ride an 1190 Adventure that weighs about 550, almost always alone. The trail *looks* easy, but I suspect It's insidiously deceptive. No way I could ride this road without dropping the bike, probably repeatedly. I'd be foolish to ride alone, but if wisdom entered the picture, I wouldn't be riding at all. I *cannot* pick my bike up alone (unless the panniers are mounted, which they seldom are).
    Embarrassment? I had just bought an inflatable airbag vest that you tether to the bike. In an accident, if you leave the seat by more than about a foot the tether pulls a CO2 capsule which (supposedly) inflates the vest in 1/10th second, providing some protection to your chest, back, and neck.
    Our subdivision has underground utilities and no streetlights, nor is their light in my driveway. I pulled in at about midnight on a moonless night, jumped off, forgot the brand new airbag and tether, and pulled the bike over. I fumbled around in the dark for several minutes, but when I had what felt like solid spots to grip, I couldn't get the bike to move.. 550 is heavy. I had to go in, turn on some lights, and wake my wife up to help me pick it up.
    I'm also envious of the 500EXC, which weighs, what? About 250?

    • @EverySingleSunday
      @EverySingleSunday  2 роки тому

      This trail is very easy, one of the easiest I’ve been on
      But having a bike you can’t lift in your own is never a good idea. I love the 1190 but if you can’t get it up, it’s a problem.
      Best of luck with everything and have fun with new toys
