    Why wouldn't this car ever be on the road again? There's no structural damage from what I could tell. It needs to be completely rewired for the electronics and needs a new engine. To the right buyer this could be the perfect start for a project car. Id remove the engine and wiring to sell it as a roller with prior flood damage. I don't know why people give up on cars so quickly. So much potential here for the right price. Blows my mind

    • @joshsantos8702
      @joshsantos8702 2 роки тому +29

      @@SilentTrip Those are all things he should have considered prior to purchasing the vehicle. The owner said it himself "we look to keep these cars on the road" and then proceeded to describe the parts he was going to sell off of it. He contradicted himself. Salvage yards tend to part out cars that are beyond repair and or are not that valuable to begin with. This WS6 Firebird is actually a rare car and would not "fit the description" of a car id part out especially when it's in such great condition interior wise and has no structural damage on the exterior.

    Being a F Body owner I'm thankful that this car was saved. Some people will say it was a waste of time but they just don't realize that these parts are hard to find out there. I own a 2002 Convertible Camaro and it is extremely low miles and I try to keep her that way. With parts hard to find the price of these parts are expensive as well. Thanks for saving this car so it could be parted out.

    I have an in-law that has a car detailing business that has a contract with a car scrapper in where they pressure wash the interior/ exterior to clean them up pretty good before they are shipped out of the country and sold for parts. They normally drill holes in the floor pans to allow for drainage. I'm sure you had a ton of fun pressure washing that interior and wish they could all be cleaned like that. Good Morning..
    To top this detailing, they could make supports in the store to hold the rugs so that they could carry out the washing process in a vertical position, reducing the use of water and having more productivity in cleaning the carpet/carpet..
    Another suggestion, they could make a mini ramp just to go up the front of the car and when washing from the inside all the muddy water would go down to the open holes in the car's floor and it would drain easily. 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷

    This car could definitely be saved. I understand it sat underwater but it looks to have buffed out pretty good. Ls engines aren't hard to find and a good parts ca isn't either. Throw in a new engine and rewire the car and she could be meant well with the exceptionof a salvaged flood title. Those are are very desirable and getting hard to find. I'm sure the car has been crushed by now but I'd love to buy it and give it a new life.

    That's a shame about it being destroyed. I'd take one look and say 'project car' seeing how it would be an empty shell to throw in my own choice of equipment (LED lighting, updated sound system, shielded wiring, etc.) but that's me. At least the nice part is that the parts as a majority can be rebuilt and reused. I even used the same tactic on the carpets of my 97 Tahoe, after it had been stained with varying degrees of engine oil, transmission oil, and other various contamination I couldn't identify (all of it has been there since before I got it). The tactic worked extremely well.

  • @enochthetrucker9735
    @enochthetrucker9735 Рік тому +1

    As long as it's not salt water, flood cars *can* be fixed and issued a "rebuilt" title, but *should* you rebuild is the question. With a WS6, I might consider it, even though they're not super rare. If you can do most of the work yourself, it *might* be worth it. Especially if you're wanting to do a restomod for autocross, track day, car shows, etc. Just remember, the value of a salvage/rebuilt title rebuilt with oem parts is about half of what a clean titled car of the same make, model, mileage and year is. So if a comparable WS6 is worth $25,000 in excellent condition, yours will be worth about $12,000 if you can bring it back to excellent condition. A track day car might bring a little more than 50%, if done right.

    This car would be a solid base for a restomod,drag car,or parts donor car for someone rebuilding a wreck.
    Multiple possibilities
