I just purchased a set of low profile impact 3/8 sockets for the old extended ratchetthat's it. Everything else is in 1/2, but this set of impact serves the 3/8 ratchet well.

It’s too big to be pass through. The head would have to be bigger. They closed them off after the material would have been too thin to hold up.

How well are the drive adapters retained? My concern is when pulling off sockets from the square drive adapters that it will release and you will pull the whole adapter out with the socket still attached. I like the concept for the fact you can have extra 1/4” and 3/8” adapters on hand in case you break a square drive off. That is something that will keep you in service using the tool instead of waiting for warranty repair. I would probably rarely use the pass through sockets but still nice to have on hand. Thanks

If I want to use a 3/8 I would have to use an adapter on my 1/4 inch ratchet which makes it bulky.
