Today we test the new Ridgid Right Angle Impact Wrench & Driver Models R8720B & R87730B vs the latest Amazon SeeSii WHA300 and past models from SKIL, Kobalt and Milwaukee M12.
Is the new hotness also the top hotness or just charging too much to be the "latest"

The SKIL is trolling us right now with the KIT being $69 amzn.to/44pSrYy which is less than a 2Ah Ridgid battery from Home Depot. If you have tasks that require speed, their new RA Impact wrench should be the hottest kid in town though mixed with the most torque. Nice bit of kit.

PLEASE do tests on the 12v HIGH OUTPUT Milwaukee batteries. The real world differences I have been seeing are pretty crazy for just a new battery.
@@d00kiejones they already did. 5.0s weren't doing anything remotely impressive vs the older M12 6.0 on the impact wrench.
@@jaywelker5566 I guess youtube decided not to show me that one. my 6.0s must be trashed if they dont do better
@@jaywelker5566 Small impacts maybe aren't the end all be all to measuring the difference a battery makes as the motor is disconnected to the output via a spring & hammer. We have both M12 HO types now, so we can surely do more with like drills, saws, die grinders as we buy them.
Did we try those Walmart 12vs yet? Hyper tough or whatever. Dewalt rebrand I think.
can you do wrong angle impacts next?
No but I’m sure left angle impacts are up next

Obtuse or acute
Was a little worried for my beloved skil but very happy with the continuing results.
I'm glad I bought the Kobalt impact wrench with two batteries and charger for $99. This just confirm my choice again. Milwaukee want $200 for just the tool.
Yeah, because I looked this weekend and it'd be $300 now to purchase the same. Tool is $150 by itself, batteries and charger are another $150.
Thank you for testing rigid. I wish skil would make a right angle impact to see if they could become champs of that as well
The light on the skil is also pretty great, when you're jammed up between two joists trying to get a screw to bite it's very nice. I could live without it, but I appreciate it. Good to see more brushless offerings however (maybe cheaper next time TTI).
Someone convince Dewalt to make one that is entirely too torquey.
I may have missed it, but a good measurement would be distance of socket from trigger. If it's a tool designed to fit into tight in an engine bay and such, I want as much reach as possible without getting my hand in a tight spot
Have the 3/8 kobalt right angle impact find it handy.
I'm still waiting for anyone to make a ultra-compact power tool to remove bolts in ultra-tight engine bays. Doesn't need tons of torque or speed, just prevent the nightmare of removing a bolt one ratchet click per swing deep in an engine bay.
Agreed, I would love for SKIL to come out with 1/4” square drive version of the RI574501, or for Dewalt to come out with a 20v or for Kobalt to come out with a 24v(my current battery platforms) tool that was a serious attempt at a right angle impact driver/wrench, just with a 1/4” square drive, instead of the 1/4” hex collet, something onto which you could directly install 1/4” sockets with no adapters required keeping it truly compact. A reactionless impact tool with the same or more power then the SKIL, the same size or smaller then the SKIL, (I have a hard time believing this isn’t possible) Such a tool would make IMO make powered ratchets(air & cordless) obsolete as they are faster, more powerful, while being just as compact. The SKIL could likely run the TTC Guantlet that the ratchets run faster than the ratchets do, while making more torque on the TTC dyno.
Please place 3 stripes on the sockets to identify movement, one stripe goes out of view . Red , White , and Blue stripes . These other stripes will show the speed at the end of the full torque cycle .
It'd be interesting to run the right angle impacts through your rachet showdown to see how they win.
Yeahb
i really wish you'd do more forward tests. those are quite important in my field.
I agree !!!
Could you PLEASE do 1/4” cordless extended length ratchets⁉ I need one for pulling apart interiors…
We dont have a 1/4" socket that would fit the dyno bolt
I think the tools should be tested at different amp batteries and rage.. this will give you a better view on the tool and the actual performance base in Amp and Voltage..
Love these tests.
Not sure if this was done already, but could you compare the right angle drivers to a standard impact driver with a decent right angle attachment on it? Similar to how universal joints rob power from impact wrenches and such.
Did you forget about the Ingersoll Rand W5330?
Old n weak :(
I actually just realized I need a right angle impact wrench. $200 bucks? Yeah that rigid will help me out, breaking bolts loose on my focus. Torching, then trying to get a breaker bar down in a tight spot, is a pain. Cars are pain. Torching, then sticking the Rigid down there and praying the bolt breaks loose, not breaks.... before the battery dies or breaks, much nicer. 😂
I was looking at the Milwaukee 3/8 right angle impact. Thanks for confirming my choice for not purchasing it
Do the DeWalt $20 adapter. I put all these tools in the useless pile- it's such a tool of a tool
What does 'giving it a handshake' near the head mean? Just to firmly grip the head while impacting? Just a double check thank you much for your trsting! Bought the Milwaukee
How about torque multipliers?
They should make a smaller one and have the battery on a cable.
Please test the new ks tools MONSTER ratchet 1/2" it claims over 950nm
Don’t forget the ingersol rand right angle for $749 😂
Incredible test! and I agree that ridigid is good looking 🥰😄
As a control for the right angle impact drivers, could you run the Dewalt right angle impact adapter with a regular impact driver?
Hey just bought the live rank chart, can you test the diehard DH80004? It's a mid torque that I've been seeing at advance auto for $130. I'm sure you could use a coupon code too 😂
I wonder how well the Klein angle impact is!
Cant run the square drive on the dyno tho
Can you test cat powertools like de dx71
Ridgid needs a icebox 18v
As I've said before, sure the biggest "Name Brand" in the list may not have the most impressive numbers, but you have to think about longevity, which is ultimately the main reason you spend more on a tool.
Sure the Seesii produces decent numbers and is undoubtedly cheap, but I would never trust it above a Milwaukee to last through the harsh rigors of everyday use. Even a Ridgid I would be a little wary of using in anything more than a "once in a while" toolbox, though Rainman Ray has shown their bigger options can typically take professional abuse at least.
Ridgid tools have done great as daily drivers working as a commercial electrician.
I'll take the Ridgid...free lifetime batteries, and parts...can y our Milwaukee do that? Nope it can't....as these tools get more expensive and more complex, I'd care more about the warranty if there is one, and most of these brand name tools once it leaves the store you are on your own without any replacement parts available...the problem also lies in what batteries/chargers you already have. I've got a lot of yellow tools, but they're not all what they're cracked up to be either, and for the price you pay, their warranty is pretty dismal....1-3 years if you are lucky it seems. Some Ridgid stuff only has a 5 year warranty, but the batteries are lifetime, as is many of their tools.
Kobalt, I believe is Lowes exclusive like Ridgid is Home Depot's Exclusive....so they're usually a mid-line tool that'll work for the DIYers out there that pickup a tool once in a great while....working in a shop environment, most shops have their tool truck stuff which can be hit and miss at times, but typically have easy to deal with exchange warranties, if you wanna chase down a tool truck.
That “new” rigid is an old Milwaukee design
Right
Christ,` those things are huge, "Carpal tunnel has entered the chat."
Doesn’t Ingersoll-Rand have a cordless right angle impact wrench and they have an impact driver as well
Imma guess the background image towards the end, is AI generated? IDK I just have a knack for noticing these things.
Any chance we'll see the hilarious looking ryobi "usb lithium" rachets in 1/4 and 3/8 tested?
I think a big consideration should be ergonomics. I've got the Milwaukee M12, and having the battery in the handle not only gives it good balance, but allows you to get in some pretty tight spaces. While I haven't used the other ones tested, battery placement definitely seems like it should be a consideration given what this type of tool is designed for.
This is actually exactly why I have a mix of M12 and Dewalt 12v. For certain tools like a rachet I prefer the battery in the handle and won't use the bigger batteries because they mess up the ergonomics. But on some of the other tools such as a standard drill or impact I prefer the standard dewalt 12v ergonomics.
Stupid. Ergonomics don't matter if it doesn't get the fastener off
The rigid main feature is the lifetime replacement on batteries. They deserve some points for that, IMO as I believe they're the only brand offering it.

Chevy tech here, I use a rigid right angle for exhaust manifold bolts a lot of the time and I’m super satisfied with it
I have had the Skil right angle ever since I saw the old vid on it. I have a few other Skil tools now too. For a tool that gets used maybe once a month, I absolutely recommend it.
I had the Craftsman Nextec 12v tools and loved their right angle impact. It was great for removing bodywork from cars, which you have to do to change headlamp bulbs and even some filters. I didn't know much about power tools back then. It was just what they had at Sears. I took it for granted. Years and years later, I looked for right angle impact and came up almost empty. Skil 12v offered it, was a bit wary, but I'm glad I bought into their system. Great little 12v lineup.
I’ve used the skil now for over a year. Been pleasantly surprised. I’m fighting arthritis and the skill batteries are easier to deal with than the m-12’s that I have.
Yeah, I mentioned the Skil being $69 a few days ago on the channel. As for the Kobalt impact wrench. It was $99 as a kit some weeks ago and I... "like" it? They put the money into performance for sure but I hate missing the modes. On/Off tools require some finesse at times. But for impact wrenches, where you'll mainly be removing, it's not a big deal considering it doesn't produce a wild amount of beans.
Scored the kobalt about a month ago when you could get it for $100 with a 4ah, 2ah and a charger included. For that price you really can’t go wrong.
Same, I'm super happy with the purchase
@@kencooley5589 yep should make certain jobs (like removing brake calipers) a breeze
Same
I have had it for going on 2 years. It has held up to a lot of shop use..solid tool for the money.
That's a killer deal!!!! I wish
When is DeWalt coming out with a right angle impact?!?!?
Once again, you guys come through with a solid video that motivates a purchase. Just now, I was able to get the Seesi off amazon for $99 minus a $10 promotional discount, coming to 96 with tax, same day delivery. Very excited for this, as I'm finishing up a transmission swap in my truck and a right angle would have been useful a long time ago.
Have the KOBALT and THE NEW RIDGID SUBCOMPACT RIGHT ANGLE IMPACT WRENCH in 1/2 DRIVE it's got way more power then the KOBALT especially with the 3 amp OCTANE will try it with the 8 amp EXP soon
If you're thinking about buying rigid do not do it they do not guarantee the warranty like they say they do and now you have to send it off to to be fixed home Depot will not return them or give you your money back I am switching over to Milwaukee this week rigid is a failed company they were going to go out of business sooner or later I have probably $6,000 in rigid tools fixing to put them online for sale for 800 bucks
I haven't had an issue. They have repaired / replaced every tool and battery I have had an issue with. If you don't have a repair center near you, you just mail it to them and they replace it for free.
team yellow when? i don't like the current offerings
Great job guys. I wonder if you'd be interested in installing a Flowmeter (like a Dwyer Rate Master) in your air delivery setup after the regulator. Might be nice to get some real-time data on air flow demand.
What air flow? (Not being a d**k serious question

If you don't think the ridgid is the best because of price, then maybe your point system regarding price needs to be adjusted?
69 ft lbs "nice"😂
Feels like you are squishing a lot of info and testing into each vid, would have loved to seen a graph of the makita battery on the seesii,
He said he didn't because the difference is within 0-3% on the last SeeSii impact, low enough that the stat wouldn't be accurate to be a difference as the torque varies a little.
Can you update the Milwaukee 2564’s test results using the high output cp2.5 and xc5.0 please please pleeeeeeeease
Yo creo posiblemente solo la bateria durara un poco mas.
Next up… Left angle impacts 😂😆
Ridgid has been hitting a lot of good hits lately. Wait until the new large impact comes out.
Would like to see that air versions of these like the ingersoll rand 2015max tested. Thanks
I have the 3/8 kobalt right angle but I think I’m going to grab a ridgid 1/2 right angle. Great stuff TTC!!
This is the one area where cordless cant compete with air. I have the m12 with 4.0 (I call it an impact ratchet) I grab my astro pneumatic first.
I feel good about selling my used IR on Ebay for the price of these new ones. Still torn between M12 and Rigid. I have IR 20v for automotive and craftsman C3 for home tools and thinking of consolidating to Rigid 18v for both
Same bro what one did you grab and thoughts?
@@Time_In1 i got rigid 18v 1/2 high torque impact and rigid 18v 3/8 subcompact impact. Rigid subcompact is a revelation. The high torque gets job done but IR high torque is better imho. Rigid right angle impact and ratchet too heavy for the job, so bought and returned. Still have my craftsman for home improvement that i will hang on to for a bit as i build my rigid 18v
I don’t understand why it wouldn’t be better just to buy the impact wrench and use an hex adapter to drive screws? In what situation would the impact driver be better?
Am i crazy for thinking the switch on these right angle impact wrenches should also be 90 degrees to the anvil? Just feels like it would be more erginomic
Any reason Makita was not included? Or have you tested that before?
Edit: NVM, Makita only seems to make a 3/8” wrench that shares design with the impact driver that was tested.
You can see it on there 3:38
I know you're saying the Ridgid Right Angle Impact Wrench ranks Higher than the Kobalt , But the Kobalt did Smash the Ridgid in Forward , and the Ridgid just Barely beat it in Reverse , all while being like $40 Cheaper than the Ridgid 🤔 , Soo in my book Its Kobalt All Day , Just Sayin...... 👍🖖
Can't say i've ever used a RA impact to install a bolt, but I hear ya
@TorqueTestChannel I have Never done that either , but it is part of the Stats right ??
I dont see IR on the list of right angle impacts
Can yall test heat guns, I wanna see how big of a difference price makes when buying one
I just love these real apples to apple no BS tests!! Thanks
Next thing they'll have is 45 degree. Or for that matter just a strain out impact for deep light duty work
I like my Milwaukee 3/8 right angle impact, I was grabbing it daily for last couple months to pull belly pans on excavators , its not sounding good after this week, probably should pull the cover and see if I can add grease! I've had the stubby since it came out, 2018? She runs daily, I love that m12 stubby
You should do a silly test with a right angle to right angle adapter to right angle adapter so it’s facing the same direction again lol
Haha I love it
It'd be cool to see the IR Right Angle Impact. Also, thanks for all this great testing. I love watching these videos!!!
The driver would be a good choice for hard to reach pocket hole screws. You can’t use a ton of power on those or they’ll blow out your pocket, which. Is why you’re supposed to use a drill and a low clutch setting. Great info, Torque.
Best thing for those is the multi head drivers
Update with the updated battery please
Ingersoll Rand makes a good right angle impact. I used it to remove old rusted exhaust bolts. Have you ever tested one of those. I have a feeling it might just beat some of those you’ve tested here. That ridged and Kobalt look like Ingersoll clones as the Ingersoll came out first.
I concur, it should have been tested with these. Ingersoll Rand makes some really nice well made heavy duty tools.
Farm project did test an ingersoll rand against these it came in third in most tests .
I use the DeWalt battery platform. Maybe your channel is useless to me. I'll look for more of your videos for relevance.....
Haven't watched yet, but I'm hoping the seesii is viable since I'm already invested in Makita batteries.
Invested what? In the free charger and battery that came with the tool? Just wait for a sale.
@@jsplasha invested in REAL Makita batteries, not the Chinese knockoff batteries that come with the tool...
@@TheJankoid ok. You can buy another tool with a different battery tho and those don't go away
@@jsplasha you clearly don't understand the meaning of my comment. I already own multiple Makita batteries. I don't want to buy a tool that uses different batteries, and Makita doesn't make this particular kind of tool. Do you understand now?
@@TheJankoid I understand your comment, I don't understand your dilemma. Wait for a sale and the battery will come free with the tool, if it doesn't already. The first battery is always free, if you watch the sales.
RIDGID 1/2 inch right angle impact video by other users goes too 400 Foot-pounds. Small socket and 6Ah battery. Dude what test you did proved wrong by other youtube users .
I've seen that same knockoff makita unlabeled on ebay for around $90-100, if it hits 200 ft lbs on a good day with genuine batteries then I may need it in my lineup since Makita won't make their own
As a owner of the tool I'd say it's a good one. I imagine in a year or two I will swap for Makita batteries since they do not cost much more in a two pack of 4Ah or 5Ah.
Anyone know where to get the ??AH Octane Battery (also what size is it) shown on the Ridgid R Angle Wrench? Guidance as to EXACTLY where to find it (or a link in the description of this video) would be awesome as I have looked already and can not find it anywhere. If it is unavailable anywhere, doesn't it sorta make this video a bit irrelevant (testing with a battery that can not be bought anywhere)??
Really think that you should also include what the warranty and serviceability of the tool is in your ratings, especially in this day and age of disposable items. A life time warranty is definitely a plus.
Well that wouldn't be an exact score as it's all different person to person. How good do you rate a 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10 year, etc warranty without a bias? It's too subjective. A warranty length doesn't mean anything about a tool's durability. They can make the quality of the tool however they like. On the other side of it, just because they say 10 years doesn't mean they will act on it.
Ridgid's LSA Sucks , its a Gimmick in my experience with Them ....
@@brianf9619 I've never had an issue with it....even with 10+ year old tools. Depends on how you act when dealing with any company....act like a child they'll tell you to go pound sand, as rightly so they should tell you that. I've had to get parts for a planer and table saw recently, way beyond the actual warranty....explained to them what happened, sent pictures, and waited...I figured if they had parts at least, I'd be happy and was prepared to pay for the parts....they emailed back with parts availability, and asked for shipping information...sent the parts out without any cost.
@wildbill23c Oooh , so if I'm pissed there shitty tool broke on me after just 2 months and I have an attitude then Ridgid has the Right to Void the Warranty , tell me go "Go Pound Sand " and Not Fix My Tool , WoW I wish they would have told me that when I bought their shitty tools
Milwaukee m12 fuel products never cease to amaze me 12v and still competing with the higher voltage competitors
I'm in the Ridgid platform so this is awesome for me...a few ft/lb one way or the other is negligible..these are handy for mechanics regardless of the platform...
NGL the SeeSii if you have batteries already for $100 isn't bad...
There is an Ingersoll Rand right angle impact that would be interesting to compare
I have the 3/8 Milwaukee wrench. I use it at work daily for about 1 year now and have had zero problems.
Mine is around 6 months old and the gears got really noisy this last week. I use it daily pulling belly pans on excavators, it fits over the track where the stubby is a tad to long.
How are they both doing now, or what happened?
I have the ridgid jobmax with all of the head attachments including a right angle impact driver. It’s not the best at anything but perfect for small specialty stuff. Bought the tool and every attachment for about $300.
what about testing the M12 with a 6ah battery? other videos done by you guys have shown that a larger capacity M12 battery does improve performance
If i didn't already own the kobalt. Id still probably buy yhr kobalt. $50 more for like 10lbs more?
I'll pick Ridgid any day! Just because of their lifetime warranty and free replacement batteries!
Hİ can you tray the HEİDER AGX ULTRA POWER 1000 LUMEN pls.
Where the heck is dewalts right angle impact?! They need to hurry up.
Thirty-two HUNDRED rippems? Who can live at that speed?!
Can you do left angle impacts next
🤣🤣🤣
Man Milwaukee is quite disappointing in the Right Angle Catagory all around.
I’m interested in seeing if the M12 tested with the new 5.0AH HO battery would be any different from the 6.0AH XC battery.
I dont think so, to me it seems the 6.0 is better. The 5 falls short on run time, it might put out a tad more power on fresh battery, but after a couple bolts it's like running a standard 4.0. I buy up the 6.0s whenever I see a sale or miss mark. Can't beet the 2 for 89$ 6.0 I bought last 6 on shelf 😂
i have both the kobalt and Milwaukee and find myself grabbing the Milwaukee first.
Right angle impact drivers are neat but for most cases I would settle for an adapter for a standard impact.
Too many large heads which impede access in tight engine bays. I still haven't seen a match to the reach and slenderness of the Hercules but their motors are weak.
Torque test channel what about ingersoll ramd20v
Dude these videos are awesome. I'd love to see a video on Impact sockets next.
Make your numbers page have bold headings
we’ll see it better watching on the phone
Wish Milwaukee would come out with an m18 version.
