Thankyou for this excellent step-by-step. Just changed an OEM battery that was stuck very firmly in the phone since 2014... couldn't have done it without you.

That’s actually a really well-designed phone. Seems quite easy to work on for a smartphone. Gotta love Nokia. I know these phones are quite old now, but I collect old cell phones and I have always wanted a Lumia 900, so I bought one. Good to know the battery is easy to replace in case I ever have to do it.

    Awesome video!
Unfortunately I broke my Lumia screen, and here in Italy it's very expensive to substitute it in a Nokia Centre.
I thought it was so much harder to change the screen, but now I think I'll do it by myself.
    Thanks dude! :)

True, I got a new one on ebay for $80 but the torx driver sent with it was bad, did not work. So bought a full set from t4 to t8 at home depot for $6. Very good instructions and I was able to do it with a breeze.

I dropped my Lumia 900 and cracked the screen. The phone still works flawlessly but I was looking into replacing the screen. While looking on repairsuniverse, com, I saw you can buy the touch-screen digitizer and the LCD screen separately or together. Since the touch capabilities don't seem to be an issue i was wondering if its possible to take the digitizer from my current screen assembly and use it on the new LCD screen. Would like to spend $50 instead of $100 if i could...

Hi, thanks for this! I was able to replace my screen. However, it seems the left bottom navigation arrow on the digitizer doesn't work... I'm thinking it was a defective one I ordered off Ebay. Any ideas why this may be? All other functions work perfectly. I've contacted the seller and am still awaiting a response. I would like to not have to do an exchange and wait. Also, do you know what the part number is for the touch key ribbon is? Thanks you very much!

Before I broke the screen I updated it to 7.8. It worked fine without turning itself off. However, I now have this issue after I replaced the screen and put a new battery in it.

Did you have any similar issues?
Do you know of anything that I could do?

Help or suggestions? I successfully replaced the screen and battery of my 900. Ran the diagnostics tool and everything was fine. It told me there was 49% battery left but after a while it turned off. I assumed it wasn't showing the right percentage and had ran out. Now, even whilst charging it, after using the phone and then locking it, it eventually turns itself off. The bootup isn't that smooth and it used to be stuck on 49% but now says it is full. Do you think it is a software problem?
