The Laydown:
Welcome to fantasy draft for season 6 you losers. Each person will draft 11 characters to play the field much like our favorite pig skin game of Football. The first 6 will be picked in rounds according to each player. Then, the next 5 will be drafted at random. In the pool will be both heroes and villains with different “stat blocks” on how to acquire points, again much like football fantasy. Below are the point acquisition systems for heroes and villains, respectively. LET'S GET READY TO ROCK!

Spinner is the most devoted to Shigaraki, being his right hand man and the one that cares the most for him. He's like his bodyguard, wanting to make his objectives and dreams become a reality. During the first half of season 6 you could see him act as a leader when Shigaraki was not around, proving just how important he is to the rest of the league and being respected by everyone but Dabi.
I would say Dabi is a more of a leader than spinner. Spinner emotionally keeps the league together he’s the person who’s going say what everybody is feeling and he cares

11:55 You did read it wrong (kind of). The first EMP just took down the surveillance system (where they can watch the prisoners and in the case of AFO, instantly shoot him down if he used a quirk). One of the guards said to not freak out so much because how would the prisoners know the surveillance system is down but since AFO and Shiggy are connected now, AFO knew that he can then use his quirks. He then launched a second EMP from the inside that took out the security system (locked doors, gates, etc.). So Tartarus required two EMPS at a similar time to happen both inside and outside, in order to take out all systems.
Notice how the great breakout of Tartarus only happened AFTER Native died. Now, I'm not saying he could've solo'd everyone there. But I mean, it's pretty clear he could.
Side note, I love how AFO is trying to take over his body and Tomura is just giving him the biggest grin. No chill
All jokes aside, Tartarus is a big yikes. Huge yikes. Because it's not just a place for people who've done crimes. No, it's a place for people with quirks that are already a danger or could POTENTIALLY be a danger. Meaning you could be thrown into a prison where the guards consider you lesser than animals and your rights are constantly being violated, just for having a quirk you were born with.
Like, imagine if Shinso or Monoma didn't enroll to UA and just wanted to live normal lives. But they either get scooped up by the Safety Commission to do shady things or literally thrown into prison. That is actually awful. So depending on the quirk you were born with, you only have four options. One, get completely shunned from society, two, get lucky on the slight chance to get into UA or some other hero profession, three, have to potentially "take people out" for very shady people, or four, be stuck in prison and be treated like an animal. Now, I don't agree with Tomura's ideology(though it's more like AFO's ideology he created from grooming a child into hating things) about destroying ALL of hero society. But I do think there definitely needs to be some changes. Especially some of the things that happen behind closed doors in this world
You can also be put there for having a dangerous ideology which is iirc part of why armless Chisaki is there.
Fun fact: the guard in Tartarus that talks about Gigantomachia arriving soon (the one closest to the camera and the one we get a close up of) is the father of another character we’ve already met.
He is the father of Seiji (Meatball Dude) from the Provisional License Arc.
Also another fun fact: The reason Seiji chose to go to Shiketsu High instead of another school is because the hats they wear are pretty much identical to the one his father wore at Tartarus.

12:05 yeah, he did the emp, and immediately, the guy was like "we're good in 3.. 2.." the emp only put their system down for a handful of seconds. The only reason anyone from the inside would have been able to know and act on that vulnerability in that short a time would be with what all for one had. Two of the same consciousnesses on two sides
Moonfish is so deranged that he's the only prisoner of the big prisoners in the last level that we know is on DEATH ROW
Not even All for One
The security systems would've either incapacitated or killed any prisoner there if they tried to break out. A lot of them are already on death row and most of the cells have different containments for the villains. For example, someone like kurogiri is heavily sedated the last time we saw them. Tartarus is a whole Saw trap to contain these villains

Just going to copy paste my comment from the reaction. I’m just going to keep bringing this up. Favorite arc in MHA. Bar none. My old favorite was the final exams in season 2. (The whole training arc, not individual episodes being awesome to the depths of everyone’s soul.)
So one of the things people don’t give AFO credit for. He is the cliche ultimate evil that wants to take over the whole world. People reject that kind of character OUTRIGHT. But he avoids EVERY issue people have with this type of character. One of the issues they always have is taking over the world. Every ultimate evil like him and I mean EVERY one. Has 1 of two problems. Their plan either makes no sense and was never going to work in the 1st place. Or the size and scope of who they are is so gigantic that it doesn’t matter to the point it kinda derails the value of taking over Earth. Look at Freeza or…I don’t know. Dr. Doofenshmirtz. (He’s a play on the villains that make no sense, but it still holds well for the type of evil those kinds of characters are.) Maybe Father from Codename Kids Next Door? Freeza is so far along in a galactic empire that the value of a PLANET is meaningless. (Any god type falls under this too.) And the nonsense kind you look at their plan and say…that DEFINITELY won’t get you the world. That’ll just make you an ass. AFO, COMPLETELY avoids that. He’s all powerful and has a god quirk with infinite potential. But everything isn’t in the palm of his hand. He acknowledges that some places CAN be beyond his reach. But with what he has, you know he ABSOLUTELY could still takeover the globe. It’d be a challenge, and he’d have to earn it by playing his cards right, but you sit there thinking “Yeah. He could ABSOLUTELY do it.” Most of these types have no backstory and are entirely lore based. AFO has one, but he makes it not matter by making the active CHOICE. (Much like the biblical Devil himself.) And his personality as a Dark Empath fits both of these AWESOME. It’s true there are few story tropes more done to death than the ultimate evil, but AFO is BAR NONE the best one. And this jailbreak is the perfect example.
We watch helplessly as EVERY villain comes charging out of prison. (And as you would have assumed, the guardian heroes are the Greek guardians of Tartarus themselves. RIP) And this gives AFO SO much to work with because these people are MORE than happy to make their deals with the devil. XD and I totally get why you’d be questioning why Moonfish the cannibal SPECIFICALLY hasn’t been executed yet. That’s as guilty as it gets and unlike AFO you know for sure you can execute him. (He was already confirmed to be on death row last we saw him.) Overhaul is broken, Muscular is the same, (good. He’s honestly an entertaining insane man.) and Stain…is an interesting one. He would put his life on the line to save another in the name of his convictions in a HEARTBEAT. But also do the opposite. And we don’t know how he would respond to this. He wanted society to acknowledge and change to his will that would get heroes to be more serious. This is not within his mold. And mystery purple hair. I LOVE her design. We’ll cover her another day as I’m sure you’ll imagine. Not to mention SO many more prisoners. Machia is still restrained. And the MLA executives are still restrained. (Though it’s not at all wrong to suspect neither are done yet.) This was sheer chaos and I LOVE it.
And Spinner…is sitting there stunned that his boss and friend are now someone else. He didn’t make the deal with the devil. He hasn’t killed anyone. He’s a lost soul who wants to be in a place of belonging. And this is the only place that is offering him. And this shakes him to his core. In the manga AFO calls him the future king. And for the sake of a chess analogy, the king isn’t the pawn, it’s even MORE useless. The pawn can be anything it wants to be if they make it far. The king has to stop EVERYTHING to protect itself and surrenders the whole army when cornered.
Bakugo’s 1st thought being everyone else is another huge jump for his development. He’s spitting up blood and yanking everyone everywhere. But he HAS to confirm people’s well being.
Gran Torino is done. Not dead, but after 5 or so hits from AFO himself, he HAS to retire. No ifs ands or buts.
The public is FURIOUS and needs the top heroes to answer for EVERYTHING here. And it’s to the point we see Fuyumi, AND Natsuo come to talk to Shoto and of course Endeavor…but you can’t have such a conversation without the other side. And it’s such a shock we are seeing the build to this. I never in a MILLION years expected this setup. All I’ll say is…she’s out.
Lastly we have Deku. He’s down. No sign of waking. He’s comatose DAYS after and it’s increasing. All-Might is heartbreaking to see at his side. This is what you taught him to be All-Might, but you are needed as a dad right now more than EVER. It’s true you’re always the better dad compared to any semblance of a teacher. And he BADLY needs a good teacher for OFA. But he needs his dad more in this moment. The only thing that would break my heart more is if Uraraka were on the other side of the bed holding Deku’s other cast waiting for him to wake up. She’s DEFINITELY the type to do that. And shes even herself talked to Deku about hospital injuries and she takes it on herself to encourage him but tell him to rest. Both after Stain and after the summer camp arc.
Everything is breaking before our eyes. There’s only one way to go and that’s forward. GOD I love this arc.
I'd say that gran torino, since his quirk relies on his lung capacity won't be able to use his quirk as effective as it once was. Considering his age and the type of injury he received, at most I can see him being able to float.
@@tobofu5978 he’s easily the most effective teacher in all of MHA. Teaching Deku full cowling by simply asking the right questions in just the perfect way. I’ve always thought he is really good for Iida to learn from. His time as a hero is over. He warned All-Might about facing Shigaraki, but HE took the biggest emotional hits in the war. Even over Dabi’s perfect plan for Endeavor. I think Iida could absolutely take the route as the new Gran Torino to find his own path free of Tensei Iida. (While maintaining the name Ingenium since that’s Tensei’s only desire if he died. He wants Tenya to be his own person, but you gotta keep the hero name out there.
@@Kaempfdog While the Iida family does share the Recipro moves, Tensei was able to come up with super moves unique to where his engines are. Since he can move his elbows, he's able to slow down his own descent and have access to Rocket Charge. Whatever Tenyas unique move is, I'm sure it's gonna be a last ditch effort move
Fun fact: Spinner's design was actually based off the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, his name being very similar to Splinter
Spinner was created because people thought Stain looked like a Ninja Turtle
You know, I kinda like the idea of sinking Tartarus. Not really in a way to drown the prisoners type of way, but just in a make the prison underwater entirely that would keep the prisoners from reaching open air if something like this happened.
Another more realistic option that Tartarus could have explored was having some type of knock-out sedative gas in the vents that would release if systems went down. Which probably would have worked on most of the prisoners if it was fast acting enough.
But this is also looking at the escape in hindsight, and it took two S level villains coordinating an attack from inside and outside to destroy Tartarus's countermeasures and escape, with two perfectly timed EMP attacks to take out both the security system and it's backup generators.
Hm, Toga was sort of abandoned by All For One, we have no idea what she is up to at this point, i hope the Anime elaborates on that.
I think the problem with even a last resort "kill em all" option is that it would still rely on the security system working in some way. Or, I guess if it was somehow manual, it'd require a bunch of people constantly manning hatch doors to let the water in (because there'd need to be multiple openings for the water to flood the joint fast enough to do any good). People who'd have to be willing to drown along with the prisoners.
It won't be mentioned in the anime because of copyright, but apparently spinner and shiggy played league of legends together lmao
There was a backup generator, it takes 3 seconds to activate, during that time no prisoner would know the system is down so it would be like any other day, using your quirk like AFO did from the inside would be suicide.

For the manga panel/ sub thing with Todoroki. I'm not sure if they changed it in the script, but the Japanese what Shoto is saying, he calls him "oyajii" which basically gets translated most of the time in subs as "old man" or "pops" rather than the usual "otou-san" which gets translated to "father", so I wouldn't blame the subs for the wording.
The thing that AFO was grabbing when he reunited with Shiggy's body wasn't his jacket, that's a whole-ass body of a guard XDDD

This is the beginning of the Third Act. Go back and re-watch the first three episodes, the beginning of the First Act. EVERYTHING that is going to happen in this arc is going to hurt 10x more if you freshly watch the first 3 episodes. Callbacks, cameos, repeated lines.
And the topic of Deku and him really having to tell people. To be honest he doesn't. Most people have way more to think about than him and his powers. Endeavor has his entire career and his family and son to think about. None of the other students were there and the last thing he wants to do is put them in danger. None of the adults will admit to him fighting, so they won't talk. He weirdly, because of circumstances, is kinda fine there.
I think that Overhaul's quirk still stronger at least from a distance than decay and more useful, considering no specific scenarios or any other factor just the quirk alone, Overhaul (with arms) could just destroy whatever Shigaraki is decaying, like the ground for example and stop the decay now for close combat decay is much stronger.
I wanna mention how weird it is that all the Tartarus prisoners weren’t wearing those suppression gauntlets the teachers needed for the exams
They were just weights
They weren't quirk suppression guantlets, all they did was weight the heroes down so they couldn't move as quickly and wear on stamina. They were basically only high density weights.
