Have you taken this to the bay or ocean. I'm in the market for a 18 new aluminum boat. I really only fish the bays and coast. Seeing if you've had this in some swells.
@@drewanic90 Hi Drew, I have not had it in the Bay or Ocean yet, but only because I have been focused on trout, I will get it in the SF Bay for Halibut, but not the ocean, not ocean worthy IMO. If you want a aluminum boat for Bay and Ocean get at 20ft min with off shore bracket so the motor is off the transom. Gone Fishing Marine has a brand new Duckworth 20ft Navigator in their showroom right now that is beautiful and fully equipped with 150HP Yamaha and a kicker motor, plus downrigger and electronics, it's ready to go! Let's Gooooo!
I am happy with the Jackery. From my experience so far, one hour charging the deep cycles with Jackery gets me three bars out of five on the deep cycle charge controller, which would gets about 1.5 hours trolling and only depletes jackery by about 50%. I can do that twice if that makes sense, so the Jakery can get me an extra 2-3 hrs trolling all depending on speed and wind. I also use the jackery for other stuff on the water like charging my camera batteries and phone.
Love your enthusiasm. I'm looking at buying a used 21 18foot just like yours for 35k

I would like to hear more about the jackery. Is it meeting your expectations? How many more hours will it give you on your trolling batteries?
