I agree! A great mix of new designs and clones of classics. It's also great to see space around the knobs for your fingers (and full size keys om the newer clones), I don't know which one I want first!
@@BarryWarne I can understand if it's an analogue sequencer (like the puppy on my 1970's Yamaha CS30) but even then there would be a way to achieve it (with a voltage offset). There's no excuse for a digital sequencer and digitally processed keyboard/pads. It really drives me insane on my Korg Volcas, which otherwise have great little sequencers. It's a real head-slapper. Why? oh why? You just want to punch some dopey engineer. It's as bad as the non-latching sequencer on my goddamn Dave Smith Mopho keyboard (to be fair, that could be considered a "sticky tape" activated function).
Yep, I absolutely agree. It's a no brainer! A simple firmware update could transform the Volcas and the Minilogue. I wonder if the new Minilogue XD even has this feature!

Nope, but then again, it hasn't been working at all for at least five years so maybe my memory fails me. That rings no bells, however one thing I never tried was applying a voltage to the cv input. I've been lazy about fixing it as I have a CS15 as well, which isn't far off but has no sequencer.

This thing sounds great in this video, much better than anything in this price range with a proper sequencer not just a half assed gimmick. Definately will be getting one of these.

Saw Moot playing a synthesizers.com giant modular demo from years ago and this guy absolutely amazed me with his playing and synth module knowledge.

This is "the one" for me. I'm on one of the pre-order "waiting lists" (hopefully before the holidays) but this one takes me "way back" as an early "first gen' " 80s synth player, now songwriter/composer under professional rights organization BMI, Inc. I'll be using this one on both a retail album and also the commercially licensed music that I write and record. You can hear that deep analog sound, there a lot of magic in that box - "So says Mr.Tom, and so it was written..." - Oh.. and I hope everyone who reads my post, has a great upcoming holiday season. The Neutron is nuts with all the possibilities and the D is "that" sound at an affordable price. I prefer the D filter but the the Neutrons multi mode one is lovely too. This crave is right up my alley.

Even if this doesn't sound great or unique, it's still a super-cheap way to add some extra modules to your eurorack or other semi-modular; a cheap way to get a ladder filter, with bonus oscillator and whatever else (I've not seen the specs but I'm presuming just a single LFO and envelope? I didn't hear the details mentioned...)
I just ordered the B. Odyssey and B. VC340 (both excellent gear!) I'm so excited and looking forward for what's coming up next from the Behringer front😃!!!

They have a whole slew of synths , many sharing technology(reduced R&D costs and mfg technique/production costs) aimed at (IMO) everything under the sun. Way to Schwing die Huefe! POCH!

at this price-point the CRAVE is going to be THE beginners synth for those trying to get into analog synthesis... it's sounds great and gives access to a lot of features the heavy hitters have. I've already recommended this to three people who asked what their first synth should be.
Everybody loving Behringer synth products. For a long time, they've been known for cheap clone products of top brands, and not many people impressed. But for synth departments, looks like they're doing something right
waxwaine lol what? No way. The Volca FM is basically a DX7 in a box. The Modular is every bit as powerful as this. The Drum is a PCM synth. There’s a lot under the hood of the Volcas and most of them are only $150. Don’t get me wrong this a very cool and very cheap synth also, but the it doesn’t the diminish the Volcas. Take the Modular for example. Same price, but has more patch points, a sequencer with motion sequencing and per step parameter locks and active step modes, a built in effect, and TWO analog oscillators. They both have their place.
This does look pretty fantastic. Very minor complaint though - I really don't like the way the switch based approach to setting the MIDI channel. They have those numbered pads for choosing/ programming the sequence, would have been perfect for use with a shift button or something for setting the MIDI channel. But I guess this is at least consistent with their existing line
Looks good, good connectivity and sound, but my Beatstep Pro is a better sequencer that also has cv and gate which I use with my Neutron; utilising paraphonic mode I can run two monophonic sequences simultaneously and independently of each other. I can also transpose and effect each step much like this does. Gr8 price for this unit though.

The crave combines these two elements at a very affordable price, however, I feel that I can get more diversity out of the setup I already own. Does that make sense?
Yes transpose function. It's ridiculous often omitted. Eg. DSI Rev2 cannot do it on the fly, you must ridiculously additionally press a button. But there should be more than a simple transpose/shift function. Scales or harmonies should be also applied. But the manufacturers are sleeping or are not knowing what music needs.

32-step - excellent. Eliminates the "but I already have the SQ-1” argument and enables long sequences like in 3+3 by Vangelis.

I can transpose any of the 64 100 step sequences on my SH-01A with it’s local keyboard
Monologue can do it
Neutron can do it - I connect SQ1 sequencer via CV/Gate outputs and put midi keyboard to Neutron input - pressing keys transposes the sequence

Huge oscillator and noisy output (with bass exciting) seems to be the new black. They should take EQ well though.
