The sound of farts is the most entertaining sound humans can make. But it's true that a lot of demos concentrate on the sound of the oscillators and filter sweeps out of musical context. End of the day, the sound of the synth _making music and in a mix_ is what matters and a lot of the nitpicking about saw waves and so on doesn't have much relevance at that point.

Joe Seven the korg is better feature wise due to it being truely polyphonic. The „poly“ D is only paraphonic and has some limitations due to only one vca.

There have been videos doing exactly that. Usually the only discernable difference was the old Moogs having out of tune oscilators (Pretty much all old synths do it as the caps get old and, so you really need to service the moogs every ten years to replace the old capacitors and retune the oscilators. The reissued moogs usually dont have this problem)
Behringer are doing a fantastic job of the last few years giving us some great hardware devices, more of my money going to you Behringer, this Poly D is just fantastic
You totally crushed this demo. Its a great sounding synth, but your demo sells it as an instrument, not just a piece of hardware to be collected. Looking forward to getting one and seeing what stuff i can come up with
Thank you for showing us what a skilled musician can do with a synthesizer. The Behringer Odyssey, unfortunately, showed me that I need analog modeling and presets now. My beginner hands still need to concentrate on "When the Saints ..." and other EZ Play music. The Minimoog sound, however, still sings like the sailor's siren call. Thanks again for doing a great job! Your presentation probably sold another one.
This thing sounds amazing. I have always heard not great things about Behringer products, however, it seems they nailed the synth market and I have heard nothing but good things about their synths. If the build quality is decent on this, I totally want it. I have an MS-20 and a Moog Sub Phatty. I dream of a MOOG Minimoog voyager but I don't have that kind of coin. I also was wanting to get the Korg Minilogue, but when I saw this, and it's versatility, I am thinking screw the Korg Minilogue I just need this.
Minilogue was my first synth, and it's honestly fantastic but it's harder to obtain a warm tone like Moog synths and the Behringer "clones." It's got its own character but that also means it lends itself to sounds other "warmer" synths can't quite make. And it's still analog! After owning a Volca Sample + FM + Modular, Korg Wavestation EX, Casio CZ-101, and Behringer Neutron, I still loooove my Minilogue. :) I've considered getting an xd ever since it came out, but I don't think I could bring myself to sell my OG Minilogue.
Hey Moot - Fav demo of this beast thus far. Great playing too! So does this also have the VCO tuning calibration requirements like the Model D as well?
Hi Moot ;) thanks for the great rewiew of the Poly D,..it sounds awesome, been waitin´ for this rewiew from you, and i love it, the soloing @ 1.12 reminds me of George Duke in the 70´s Have a nice day Moot. Much Luv to you.
Man this video flew by. I cannot tell you how many gear demo videos I jump through trying to find watchable bits, but every minute of this vid is super enjoyable to listen to while also being really effectively demonstrative. I'm sure you've been told countless times, I'm sure you know this for yourself already, and I'm dead sure that you've put in immeasurable time and effort to be this good, but man, you are good, not only with knowing your instrument, but with music in general, especially if this is your own stuff and/or off the cusp improv (I couldn't pick up on any melodies or chord progresisons I've heard before). Some stuff reminded me of Yellow Magic Orchestra (If anyone's reading this I recommend checking out their self titled album from 1978, or even any of their albums, AND Haruomi Hosono / Ryuichi Sakamoto's solo discographies). But I digress: what I want to say, if you see this, is that I really hope you find the exact fulfillment that you're looking to get out of your musical endeavors. It's 2AM and I'm typing a heartfelt paragraph to a UA-camr on a gear demo video. This is something I would probably never do. Thanks for the video, I'm definitely subscribing! Keep doing what you do. If you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go buy a synth

It's got its own character but that also means it lends itself to sounds other "warmer" synths can't quite make.
I like the "Moot" videos, nice playing, after the Bodyssey i think this'll be my next one.....
Me too
I know this was supposed to a product demo but I would honestly pay for a transcription of this entire thing to just play specifically on a Poly D
Sounds very good Matt. Filter sounds smooth and warm just like a Moog LPF should. Great playing too as usual.
Sick sick riffs on this demo.
wish they did a deepmind moog. i love the options and the memory the deepmind gives you. They should also go a better screen.
Deepmind suxx.

7:36, sounds a lot like the beginning of "You Dropped A Bomb An Me" by the Gap band.
Are you a Keith Emerson fan? Sounded like a few of ELP style licks.
4 osc synth am I crazy for wanting this more than a mini?
not at all! nothing like the real thing...but at this price, and it does more things, who could argue?
Bitchin’ Camaro!! Sold.
2 years later and it still sounds awesome :)
:)
Moot!!! This is one of your best demos yet. This instrument is awesome. Thanks for showing us what this amazing little synth can do.
thank you so much bob!
Hey Moot - Fav demo of this beast thus far. Great playing too! So does this also have the VCO tuning calibration requirements like the Model D as well?
pco2004 well it’s calibrated with the same Range and Scale trimmers on the back like a real Minimoog. And thank you!
I actually began spacing out, too. And now it's way past my bedtime :) Great video.
Hi Moot ;) thanks for the great rewiew of the Poly D,..it sounds awesome, been waitin´ for this rewiew from you, and i love it, the soloing @ 1.12 reminds me of George Duke in the 70´s Have a nice day Moot. Much Luv to you.
Cnl TAF I appreciate you! Thank you! I love me some Duke.
If you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go buy a synth
thank you for making this. Can you release an album of this? Just solo Poly D works :)
00:44 , back to the eighties playing ocean videogames on my commodore 64
Wonderful! ‘Daley Thompson’s Decathlon’ vibes! 😉😂
Fans of this epic video - let's play a game...
ROUND 1: Who is back again after seeing this video at least once?
ROUND 2:
@@AlternateRealityTV123 thank you for watching even once!
That'll be me for one 😁
ROUND 2: @TheDavidPoole & OTHERs: timestamp tag your favorite jam/patch/part of the video, and say why!
¿Poly D or Deepmind 12?
This video is great, thanks
Matt, you always play them. You really play them. No sequencer. I ordered mine before your video, now I want to order another 10
It sounds like a 4 voice Juno to me. Nice playing too!
The keyboardist is fantastic. Visual effect gets a thumbs up also.
thank you!
Came for the Poly D, stayed for your awesome performance. I think I'm gonna watch it again
I keep saying I don't need this . I don't need this.. Damn you Moot Funkxly .... Killing it....
I never had any interest in playing the piano but this thing looks so fun to play around with that I really want one.
