If you get the XP Dales think it’s the number six Pinpointer it does not take anything out to the sides of the point only straight off the point, which makes it a lot more accurate because sometimes if you at the bottom of a hole and you’re still 3 inches away from the target and it’s in the sideyou’re missing that you’re thinking down the bottom hole and keep taking deeper and it’s still waiting for up higher
I don't have a rock tumbler but an empty salsa jar on the treadmill works great for me, just separate copper color from silver color coins

The sandy soil in this part of Florida makes it really hard to cut a good plug.
Very true on this side as well. Dry sand does not hold together very well.

Always good to hear some of your thoughts on what we have to say 😉 I'm not sure how much better the threaded handle would hold up in salt water. Depending on the material, it could corrode pretty fast causing them to lock up eventually. Some white grease or anti-sieze on the threads would help.
Also, what app are you using for the tides? I do some shore diving near Palm Beach Shores and that's really tide dependent. I usually just go to the NOAA website and pull up the chart for when I'll be there and print it out ahead of time because it isn't formatted well for the phone. An app might be easier. I have an android phone.

Yea, you could be right. That salt water is killer, so it's only a matter of time. 😕 the grease is a great idea!
I use Tides Near Me. You select the location closest to where you want, and it gives all the info, including sunset/sunrise and the percentage of the moon. New moon is 0% and full moon is 100%.
