The Pharmacist and staff at the pharmacy at the walgreens in the Wrigley building in Chicago are the best! Everytime I am there they are so helpful. One time I had a prescription that was a little expensive- the staff said wait let me find you something that may be cheaper- I was so surprised because no one ever did that for me at a pharmacy. Even If the line has like 2 people waiting someone always comes from the back to check you out! I love them. ❤❤❤

In honor of Black History Month, the Brand Marketing team led a virtual panel, Dose of Culture Elevating Careers with Black Pharmacists. Rick Gates (Walgreens Chief Pharmacy Officer) will serve as the moderator and we will have four Black Walgreens Pharmacists, who are graduates of Pharmacy Schools at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Predominantly Black Institutions (PBIs), joining us as panelists.
Given the shortage of pharmacists in our industry and the fact that less than 7% of US pharmacists are Black or African American men it’s good to see that women are getting the recognition they deserve. This event presents a significant opportunity for our profession and the communities we serve. I love the fact that women of color are doing so well in the medical field and it can inspire others to choose career paths that fit their needs.

We gotta stop practicing the enemies tradition and not rely on schools to teach the youth the truth, yet I’m in my early 20’s and learn more truth from my parents and everything outside school. I understand there is barriers everywhere planted for us to back pedal, but we need to prevail
