I like your video, but...
I really don't understand how the Gittreville guys can allow factory built VKC carts to participate in Tieton given the fact that they're not home built and cost $5000. The build guidelines and their whole website go on and on about home built CKs on a budget of less than $2500.

What kind of restrictions do these things have? And where can i find out more?
It will vary, cyclekart events are independently organized, and car specs, rules, and race format are a bit different at one event from another. This specific video is the Tieton GP. There are lots of spec rules at this event, but the tech inspection is not strict and focuses more on safety rather than a car being too wide, long or heavy. Engine limit is controlled a bit more strictly, max size is 4 cycle 212cc utility style engine, although Stage 1 and 2 mods are ok. I was running a Honda GX200 Stage 1 in this video. Good sources for more info are the Cyclekarts North America page on Facebook and the cyclekartclub.com website.👍👍
@@kartclub2 awesome.... U said 4 cylinder... So does that mean i could theoretically use 4-49cc engines hooked inline? As long as the dont exceed 212cc? Also what lengths and widths are these parts usually?
@@funnerthanbefore4947 No, sorry I meant "4 cycle", not "4 cylinder". Its a 1 cylinder utility engine, the type you find in generators, lawn mowers, and things like that. Stock its 6.5 hp, but the mods can shoot that up to 10, 14+ hp. 👍👍

I would love to see this sport take off, But there were some real bad things wrong with this race. The parked cars, no barriers to protect drivers or pedestrians , was the city involved. one bad accident major lawsuit. would kill having race on public streets
Yes, this is a race on city streets... yes, the city is involved... yes, there is danger... yes, the event carries insurance..., and yes, someone getting hurt or property getting damaged may result in someone suing someone else. Its the American way of resolving disputes.
Yes, the parked cars were terrifying..... running off into a hedge or spinning through a front yard is one thing, but running under an F-250 is a life-ending event. Some pretty aggressive driving in this video, some good driving, and some great cars. Go fast, be safe.
