As a former SAR member who specialized in vertical rope rescue I had so much anxiety watching the free climbing with big drops at multiple times during this episode. Love ya guys, put some ropes on and wear a helmet! Set an example for those younger guys you were with. We want to see your content for years to come.

Whether you show careless bravado or good sense safety measures could influence how they behave. Each of us has a responsibility to encourage safe responsible behavior. Damn good vid BTW.

I wish I was 50 years younger and had a chance to work with these guys. I am an old 101 St. Airborne Paratrooper who was in Rescue with a Rescue program that worked throughout the Mid Western States and I loved Repealing and doing the Crazy work off of the bottom of Helicopter's. I did several Rescues and recoveries in the 1960's I watch these movies and relive many. Today I am 83 years old born July 17. 1939 and if they would allow me I would still repeal over those cliffs hanging from the boom of the wrecker. I have rode many Crain cables . I never realized these were two different Companies, That is what one misses when old. I am sorry I have made negative remarks because the situations were never jiving in my mind.

One thing that Heavy D and Matt have in common is they both keep everything in meaningful perspective and both like overcoming the challenges of terrain and developing the right equipment to do their specific line of vehicle removal. Removing those vehicles from the bottom of that cliff is the biggest challenge yet, and turned out to be very meaningful for both of them. What a way to meet one another.

The crossover episodes on UA-cam are awesome. I started watching Sin City Outdoors because they were covering the Lake Mead drought issues (a subject I've been interested in since reading Cadillac Desert probably 20 years ago) and found Craig's stranded houseboat. HeavyD showed up to save Craig, who ultimately left trash behind and annoyed the Sin City dudes. So watching HeavyD videos ultimately led to the UA-cam algorithm suggesting Matt's channel...which led right back to HeavyD.
Or it's a smaller world than I originally thought.

Rusty cables, winch truck parked precariously close to the edge, no ground anchors or even simple wheel chocks on the winch truck, people standing behind the truck as it's winching, people holding onto the cables (a tensioned steel cable that snaps can easily cut your head off), everyone standing right on the edge peering over, the cables chafing against the rocks, and absolutely no safety equipment in sight. This isn't just amateur, it's downright idiotic. This level of stupidity could easily have cost lives.
