@@metatronyt, can you address your claim that Sicily has a climate similar to Egypt? Average summer temperatures in Sicily are in the low 90s. Summer temperatures in Aswan exceed 113 degrees Celsius. That is a huge difference. Also, farmers here in the Southern states, both black and white, always wear long sleeves when out working the fields. Oftentimes, thermal underwear is also worn for cooling and protection. That was an unintentional error, but a big one!
@@RayBuckner You are wrong about the temperature here. Here is the difference, you googled the average temperature in Sicily, I was brought up in Sicily, so I am right. @ Cope better In 2023, Christopher Ehret reported that the physical anthropological findings from the “major burial sites of those founding locales of ancient Egypt in the fourth millennium BCE, notably El-Badari as well as Naqada, show no demographic indebtedness to the Levant”. Ehret specified that these studies revealed cranial and dental affinities with "closest parallels" to other longtime populations in the surrounding areas of Northeastern Africa “such as Nubia and the northern Horn of Africa”. Ehret, Christopher (20 June 2023). Ancient Africa: A Global History, to 300 CE. Princeton: Princeton University Press. pp. 83-85. “The process of the peopling of the Nile Valley likely the population structure and early biological similarity of Egyptians and Nubians…In 2005, Keita proffered a novel method to view Nubian-Egyptian relationships; he suggested that military interactions could not alone account for the biological similarities among the two populations. Rather, Keita (2005) saw the relationship as a continuum, dating back to the late Pleistocene and mid-Holocene, placing importance on the peopling of the Nile Valley as the initial cause for genetic similarity…The long history of contact between Egypt and Nubia is documented in the archaeological record…The extensive contact has led to detectable genetic and therefore skeletal and dental similarities among the two populations…For example, a closer affinity has been detected of the wealthy Nubian A-Group to elite Egyptians than elite Egyptians were to other Egyptians (Prowse and Lovell, 1996). A new analysis interpreting Nilotic relationships and peopling of the Nile Valley: www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0018442X18300295?via%3Dihub Read that again “For example, a closer affinity has been detected of the wealthy Nubian A-Group to elite Egyptians than elite Egyptians were to other Egyptians” In Layman's terms, in times of antiquity there was little to no genetic difference between Nubians and Upper Egyptians, and the Nubian A-Group shared more genetic affinity with the early Upper Egyptian Elite than the Upper Egyptian Elite shared with Lower Egypt. The difference in genetic make-up of Lower Egypt is due to genetic flow from the Levant via the Delta. Excellent information. My people are Balanta. We originated in Kemet and migrated across the Songhai Empire into what is now called Guinea Bissau. I am a proud American Afrikan. I was born in Chicago Illinois.
I think you are misinformed - ill explain why. The name of the 2004 DNA study which supports your Balanta claim is: "MtDNA Profile of West African Guineans: Towards a Better Understanding of the Senegambia Region" Alexandra Rosa is the primary author. You can Google it. I suspect someone misinterpreted this study and misrepresented its conclusions to you. It doesn't claim that Balanta are descended from KmT. Instead, it says that Balanta oral tradition claims they came from the East (not unlike Bantu migrations). It concludes that while their tests had some MtDNA and Y-DNA markers more commonly found outside of West Africa (and in Sudan), they also concluded that 87% of their tests had the typical West African DNA markers. In other words, 87% of Balanta have strictly West African ancestry. The authors of the study argued the markers might be evidence of a migration from the East, but that is actually thin evidence, because DNA cannot tell you much about when the migration occurred. it is possible that the alleged migration was 1) more recent, 2) more ancient, or 3) there was no migration at all.

The most obvious reason this isn't true is bc Nubians had no system of writing until about 200BC. And when they started writing, they wrote in a Coptic script, but the language was completely unrelated to Coptic. Nubians and Ancient Egyptians were not culturally the same. There are also 5 million Nubians living in Egypt today, who don't even self-identify as black. Figure that one out.

This is true. If you look at ancient maps of Africa you’ll find it was the Europeans that first called Africans black. The early explorers had no idea what the interior of Africa was like and early maps depicted “negro-land” literally translated as “black land” which includes parts of what is now, North Africa. The Northern coast was known as the Barbary coast, where the name berber comes from. These berbers amongst others are descended from black Garamantees who lived in the Sahara in antiquity documented by the Romans. Herodotus acknowledged the fact that black people were indigenous to the land. Post colonial Africa has now been divided up by Europe to keep so-called Sub saharan Africa black, despite well trodden routes between Mali and Morocco, Ethiopia and Egypt, there was no barrier in the past!
Europeans have been trying to take Egypt out of Africa for decades. This is why we have so-called”Egyptologist” to try to debunk the fact/facts that the original people of Kemet(Egypt)were black/African people. Notice you never hear of an”Americantologist”,European tologist,Australiatologist, etc it’s only when it come to Egypt is when you hear this terminology which is now called the”MIDDLE EAST”.

I beg to differ that the colorism within Egypt is a more modern construct. And I say this because the Ottoman Empire the Turks were the ones that brought the caste system into Islamic areas that it controlled and that caste system also was the building blocks for what the Europeans eventually did in the early 1600s so to say it's a modern construct of colorism within Egypt and the surrounding areas I would beg to differ it is something that has been around since the middle portions of Ottoman rule. Now we know that there were two Islamic factions that controlled the Muslim world of those periods of the Ottoman Empire and they fought and when the Turks ended up controlling those areas of Northern African Islam then you begin to see the colorism that has been perpetuated up until modern times.

I felt like sharing, though I don’t often talk about it. I married a woman from Madagascar, and we currently live in Ghana, my homeland. She is often surprised that my own people, Ghanaians, sometimes think I’m not Ghanaian, and it’s happened several times.
As an African-American we have it out here in America. Some black people won't say they're black they're Latino but they're black family black everything about them black. Same thing with the Egyptians they don't want to be Africans or they don't want to be black
Those Arabs in North Africa are not Africans. They are immigrant settlers on ancient African lands. I don't understand why Black Americans want to make them African. They are right in rejecting the African identity. Because they are not African. And they should have no claim on the ancient history of that part of Africa from when it was inhabited by native Africans.

In 2023, Christopher Ehret reported that the physical anthropological findings from the “major burial sites of those founding locales of ancient Egypt in the fourth millennium BCE, notably El-Badari as well as Naqada, show no demographic indebtedness to the Levant”.
A new analysis interpreting Nilotic relationships and peopling of the Nile Valley:
www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0018442X18300295?via%3Dihub
Read that again “For example, a closer affinity has been detected of the wealthy Nubian A-Group to elite Egyptians than elite Egyptians were to other Egyptians”
In Layman's terms, in times of antiquity there was little to no genetic difference between Nubians and Upper Egyptians, and the Nubian A-Group shared more genetic affinity with the early Upper Egyptian Elite than the Upper Egyptian Elite shared with Lower Egypt. The difference in genetic make-up of Lower Egypt is due to genetic flow from the Levant via the Delta.

Genetics, Egypt, and History: Interpreting Geographical Patterns of Y Chromosome Variation
“Early speakers of Nilosaharan and Afroasiatic apparently interacted based on the evidence of loan words (Ehret, personal communication). Nilosaharan’s current range is roughly congruent with the so-called Saharo-Sudanese or Aqualithic culture associated with the less arid period (Wendorf and Schild 1980), and therefore cannot be seen as intrusive. Its speakers are found from the Nile to the Niger rivers in the Sahara and Sahel, and south into Kenya. The eastern Sahara was likely a micro-evolutionary processor and pump of populations, who may have developed various specific sociocultural (and linguistic) identities, but were genealogically “mixed” in terms of origins.
Interactions between Nubia and Egypt (and the Sahara as well) occurred in the period between 4000 and 3000 BCE (the predynastic). There is evidence for sharing of some cultural traits between Sudan and Egypt in the neolithic (Kroeper 1996). Some items of “material” culture were also shared in the phase called Naqada I between the Nubian A- Group and upper Egypt (~3900-3650 BCE). There is good evidence for a zone of cultural overlap versus an absolute boundary (Wilkinson 1999 after Hoffman 1982, and citing evidence from Needler 1984 and Adams 1996). Hoffman (1982) noted cattle burials in Hierakonpolis, the most important of predynastic upper Egyptian cities in the later predynastic. This custom might reflect Nubian cultural impact, a common cultural background, or the presence of Nubians.

I do think that the Nilotic and Cushitic people such as the Nubian, the Dinka, the Maassai, the Tutsi, the Afar, the Oromo etc...re genetically and culturally closer to the Cushite, founders of the pharaonic kingdoms of the Nile valley, from Sudan to Egypt.
Lets compare ancient egyptian head rest with African head rest. Also the "isicholo" which look almost like the Nefertiti headdress...Or the nemes crown that was ment to cover royal hair locks even bob marley had a cover for his hair that looks almost similar to that of tutankhamun tomb guards. Where else in ancient levant or Greece/rome can you see those similarities?

My ONLY wish was that more respect was paid to the diligent honorable work of Chiekh Anta Diop. He had major plans to test melanin levels in mummified skin and was assassinated and all his studies were confiscated.
I'd love to see you do a video solely about him, showing the story that was told to the public and then the details of the truth regarding his work to test mummy samples.

Thank you family. Your support is greatly appreciated. We are on the same page. We will be doing a short film on Diop and the 1976 Symposium at UNESO. Make sure to subscribe and stay tuned!

The word "Egypt" is misspelt form of "Gobta" meaning superior and is spoken by east African tribes like Somalian, Oromos, Afars, etc. Infact most of east Aftican tribes speak depleted ancient Egyptian language to this day while present day Egyptians speak Arabic.
Keep informing the masses. Incredible and extremely well produced documentary.
Without the wall paintings, it would have been impossible to convince anyone that Ancient Egypt was African. Similarly, if the pyramids had been destroyed in some catastrophic event, it would have been impossible to convince anyone that such structures ever existed. I'm sure someone must have thought of destroying the wall paintings at some point.
Our ancestors literally wrote it in stone. Genius.
Actually the genome project in the 1990s found DNA of modern homo sapiens in several parts of the continent with artifacts, technologies and abodes they constructed over a period of 200,000 years in the Sahara when it was a lake; Also in the Horn of Africa, in the region that was the State of Benin, i Also where the Bambara and around Lake Chad. Many civilizations with NAA in their place names, tribal names or deity names shared a sun worshiping culture at the equator that mapped the solar and stellar systems over 30,000 yeast ago. There was a South African carving dedicated to sun worship older than 50,000 years ago. n the north where Libya and Algeria. Back then there were only Africans . Also Africans had O blood. Still do today.

I’m a 50 year old man and I’m glad to see what I knew has as a teenager studying history we taught here at the USA wasn’t the entire truth.
I learn more on my own, doing research from different opinions from different point of view books and lecturers also documentary like this.
There’s so much history that was hidden by the conquers and rich elites.
Glad to see this and it will be shared.
Useful re-education for some of us. As an African myself, I wonder where we lost our richness and authority to become subservient to all...as of now. I am optimistic the future may redress this in more ways than one...

I always wondered early on why didn't they ask the people of the area how the pyramids were built In addition to all the other information that they needed. Seems to me that mankind couldn't believe that black people we're intelligence all through history.
After the thousands of years of invasions and destruction the technology was lost. The people living there only had myths and fables.

They didn't enter Minoan society. The Minoans were Black people as were the Mycenaeans, Phoenicians and Etruscans.
You have a valid point
Idk about that, all evidence suggests that they were Mediterranean people. However, they did have a matrilineal system similar to the ones in Kemet and Kush.
Genetic studies shows that cretans, Mycenaeans and Macedonians cluster with Ethiopians and Northeast Africans rather than Greeks which shows what we already know...that their was a migrations from the western steppe into the mediterraen, I would say somewhere around 4,000BC to 3,000 BC @@capoislamort100
@@capoislamort100IDk about the rest yet Phoenician actually traces back to some biblical Canaanite/Hamite ppl. Just like the modern word Palestine which derives from the word Philistine. According to DNA results, my paternal line goes back Pharoah Rameses iii.. it also says I don't have "northern African DNA" from that region, i have Sub-Saharan.. I think that's proof enough Egypt was "black".
There's no such thing as "Sub Saharan". That's a geopolitical location used to separate indigenous BLKS from all of Africa.

If you are talking about Lower Egypt and the Delta then yes I would agree with you. The Asiatics who immigrated into the Delta and overran the city of Avaris is well documented. It is not a secret that Lower Kemet asiatics eventually outnumbered native Egyptians. Now when it comes to Upper Egypt, which is the seat of political power of the nation and birthplace of Pharaonic Kingship it was African. "PROJECT MUSE

Early speakers of Nilosaharan and Afroasiatic apparently interacted based on the evidence of loan words (Ehret, personal communication).

How can this Dr. Zahi Hawas argue that they can't do a DNA test because it WOULD TAKE TOO LONG (29:54)? how long is his TOO LONG? Isn't that "TOO LONG" necessary in order for a matter to be laid to rest? Lame excuses from someone who is supposed to be looking for the truth!!
They have done DNA now. That clip was old. Search DNA of ancient mummies. You'll find what you're looking for if you're looking for scoentific evidence.

My ancestors came to Ghana from Egypt many years ago to trade. They were three brothers who would bypass Chad and Wagadugu to trade in medicine in northern Ghana, and they had tanned skin. One of them got involved with a Ghanaian woman in the north and later got married, the other two brothers returned and that’s a little bit about me. I felt like sharing, though I don’t often talk about it. I married a woman from Madagascar, and we currently live in Ghana, my homeland. She is often surprised that my own people, Ghanaians, sometimes think I’m not Ghanaian, and it’s happened several times.
❤ Truthful education is king. Educational systems around the world should teach truthful history. What better way to move forward in life.❤😊
As an African-American we have it out here in America. Some black people won't say they're black they're Latino but they're black family black everything about them black. Same thing with the Egyptians they don't want to be Africans or they don't want to be black
No other race refers to them selves as a we quite so much like blacks
Those Arabs in North Africa are not Africans. They are immigrant settlers on ancient African lands. I don't understand why Black Americans want to make them African. They are right in rejecting the African identity. Because they are not African. And they should have no claim on the ancient history of that part of Africa from when it was inhabited by native Africans.
