I still remember the crowd going berserk in Glasgow 30 years ago when you were on tour with Sepultura as this riff started. One of the true great thrash tracks; thanks sir.
Hearing this makes me so happy, I’m literally going to see sepultura and sacred reich with crowbar in glasgow in two weeks. From one generation to another. I hope I live that moment
When KNAC in SoCal would play this song, Anyone who had the station on absolutely cranked it up to 10, This is 1 of those songs that is immortal in the world of metal, Nice work Sacred Reich!
Encino Man is what introduced me to you guys. When I saw that movie as a little tyke, that clip always stuck out to me, and like 15 years later when I became a Thrasher I looked that song up and I was all in. Loved you guys ever since and American Way will always be my favorite.
This is 1 of those songs that's immortal and stands up on it's own in today's music, I remember hearing this in SoCal on the old radio station, KNAC! Thanks for putting this out, This is a killer tune!
just watched you at aces of spades in sacramento. im 34 now…when i was 14 i found a sacred reich pin at a pawn shop. i researched you guys and ive been a fan since then. thrash metal legends!
Out of nowhere last night your solo was working around in the back of my mind. I was like...what is that? After awhile it finally came to me. Love this song, had it recorded on a VHS back then; it looks like a good workout. Thanks for sharing man!
One of my all time favorite riffs, solos. The whole composition is just genius in its relative simplicity, but it hits exactly those parts of your metal mind that make you want to listen to it regularly - since 1990.
MAN, what a gift from the metal gawds today! I can't express how nice it is and rare to just be able to see from the creator how an absolute classic like this is played and realize all the details I know I would have missed if I was to just learn it by ear or trying have to decide from other covers or live footage what's right or wrong, etc. I haven't played this one just because I know there's many covers probably already but it's a definite favorite, I always LOVED this solo, I guarantee you I can play it perfect on air guitar after blasting the subs in the truck hundreds of times {;o)
Haha! Encino man is how I discovered sacred Reich. It's definitely one of the early influences, that got me into guitar myself. So thank you. After finishing the video, I just want to say thanks man. Very informative. Seeing you put all the little nuances in there, and seeing your technique is very helpful in squeezing the right sound out of those chords. 🤘
Hey, man. Great to see you around and also your channel here. Sacred Reich is one of my top favorite metal bands since always. Also, my favorite band to play along. :-) Take care.
I've been listening to you guys since ignorance and every album since then has been a masterpiece! Thank you so much for you putting out your own UA-cam channel
Always wanted an ESP after seeing you guys in mcgonagles in Dublin 1990 or 91. Eventually got an LTD 87 eclipse but will get an old school ESP one day…in the meantime my kids listen to DeathSquad when their mothers out…
Hey my metal brother just wondering if you could please do a Video play through for the classic “Love Hate “ song , it was epic that you guys played that some along with the American way in Brisbane , I grow up listening to you guys when I was at high school & to hear you guys and Vio-lence together on stage was an epic night
Saw these guys in New Jersey when they toured this album with Sepultura, despite having bass amp issues at the start they still stole the show! Sepultura could not touch these dudes live.
Freaking awesome man!! I covered this for the umpteenth time on drums today but glad this video popped up man!! I jam out with a dude Mike Bogush who used to pmay in Nuclear Assault you probably know him plus you guys are all from the North Jersey and New York area right? I'm in South Jersey man but Mayne we can collaborate and just have fun man!! If not a cool and always dug you guys and I remember when yhos video came out o. Headbangers Ball man!! This so g is so bad ass and killer guitar playing man!! 🤘
It's nice to be able to see you play the solo I've been wanting to see how you do it and most live videos only show part of it like they do with every band
Ignorance, Surf and the American Way records were Marshall amp driven JMC 800s. Boss super overdrive for me, Jason used an Ibanez tube screamer. Emg 81 pickups 🤘🔥
OHHHHH Man!!!! This is the greatest riffs of my metal life. Next week, we will make a video in which we will be reviewing, together with a friend, the album The American Way. This video will be published on May 15, in commemoration of the 34th anniversary of the release of this album 😉
I saw Sacred Reich open up for Pantera in 1993 at a place that used to be a skating rink. It was in Glen Burnie Maryland. Best show ever. Sacred Reich was on fire that night and Pantera destroyed the place.
Ok, D# tuning? Such an amazing song, 1st heard it on Beavis and Butthead in 90 or 91. Sadly, never seen you live, but my buddies in Byzantine got to tour with you. Which I believe was OJ’s dream tour. Maybe you will come near WV next time.
Wiley, is yours a recessed or non-recessed Floyd? I want the new issue m-1 87 custom but not sure about the non recessed. Sacred Reich fan for life! 🤘🏻
Recessed. I prefer recessed just a more comfortable feel for me. I recently played the 87 series Mirage with a top mount Floyd and it felt really good too. So many choices!! lol
@@wiley.arnett thank you so much for your reply! I remember seeing you guys in Atlanta opening for Danzig also, w/ Genie Torturers in 1994. Lightning blew out the transformer & ended Sacred Reich's set. So pissed!! Love you guys, wish you all health, happiness & 20 more years for us hardcore fans 🤘🏻

Awesome. Should make a follow-up song for the next Brendan Frasier movie. Just watched Encino man with my kids and it still holds up in 2023😂
Song is severely underrated. I will admit that I discovered this song through Encino Man when I was like 7 lol.

You literally just answered my 30 year old question about how to play a few of those odd tags correctly. Thank you, Wiley!
Oh man, finally I can see how that middle riff goes. Cheers from Tijuana Wiley!
Love this song and this album! What a real treat to see you here doing these great tracks, Wiley after all these years.. !!!!

I saw you guys at Milwaukee MetalFest back in 90 or 91. Sacred Reich was definitely the stand out band.
You once gave me a guitar pick after a Memphis show. Thank you, man! I kept it "sacred" on my shelf.
Can you do a Playthroug of "Crimes Against Humanity " ? I Love all the Songs from Sacred Reich , but this Crimes Against Humanity ist my favorite
