These types of videos really make me appreciate the importance of the whole group working together. Are those riffs great? Absolutely. But the presence of other instruments backing them up makes them so much better. Never underestimate inspired teamwork
I think beside metal riffs, you should delve into the lyrics, especially when it comes to Death. Chuck was not only a great guitarist but also a great lyricist. And from then on you can expand to other bands like Overkill, Exodus, Kreator and Sodom. Edit: Anyway, great video!
Welcome back bro, also your picking on symbolic is clean as hell. That's impressive. Of all of these, I highly recommend learning crystal mountain. It's a relatively simple song but sounds absolutely sick. It's also a very good warmup routine
what I need is a solid practice routine so that I can play these riffs,,,any sugustions ??? Leonard, love your channel and your playing, especially when you did Chuck without distortion. I watch that many times. Thanks for sharing your talent and hard work.
Don't be afraid to try new creative things😀of course, it's always fun to watch videos about cool riffs and so on, but you have a lot of skill and could try your own ideas, just like other guitarists on this platform do
Awesome, bro! I finally know how to play Pull The Plug's intro correctly after playing it wrong for about 20 years now, lol. What's worse, I played it wrong ON STAGE a bunch of times! 😬😬😬 Oh, and "G string".
You are one of my favorite youtubers man, please keep it up if you can! Edit: I'd like to see some riffs or playthrough of Angelcorpse :) Edit 2: G String xD
Hey, will there be new music by your band Lux in the future? I really liked the song you released on Spotify. I think your Death inspired writing is awesome
While everything is played flawlessly, tabs are VERY QUESTIONABLE HERE. (Source: am tab nerd) 1. Symbolic and Spirit Crusher fast riffs notated in half tempo... feels wrong. You don't count the riff at 100 bpm, but twice as fast. 2. Leprosy fast riff is outright wrong, it's somewhy notated as 7/16 and shifts within the measure, while it should be as 1/8 + 6/16 and be perfectly aligned into 4 bars. 3. Isn't Symbolic intro played on the lowest string and not an octave up? (Genuine question)
I reckon Chuck had a decent influence on metalcore after having a bit of a think hearing some of these riffs again. Songs like Spirit Crusher and Lack of Comprehension (not in this vid I know) have the sort of style that I feel bands like Bullet For My Valentine, Avenged Sevenfold etc had adopted into their riffs.
Can i ask a question? Today when i tried to switch tuning from standard to D Standard, the high E broked,is it normal if it is the first time that i tried an alternate tuning?
Cool! I would love to copy these riffs, but I won't. Because I once copied half a song Zero Tolerance from a band Death. I don't have the right sound. :(

For sure, man. The rhythm guitar compliments the lead, the bass adds grittiness to it and the drums enhance the song as a whole.
R.i.p chuck
Damn thanks g.
That Spirit Crusher riff is one of my favorites to play by them. Just fun bouncy riffs
It sounds like a very early version of 2000's metalcore. Sounds awesome
I knew Crystal Mountain was going to be included 🔥
Well der
Spirit Crusher is just a great song to jam all around. so many awesome riffs and it flows in such a cool way.
I miss Chuck, even if he still remains very present thanks to everything he has done. Love forever for you
Dude glad to see you back I’ve missed your videos for so long, keep up with great content

Sick! Pull the Plug is my favorite Death song. I will learn it thanks to you.
Chuck is alive as long as we listen and play his songs. Great vid. Need to learn some of these ones ;)
Really glad to see that you're back, Leo! Another great video
My first concert, spiritual healing tour 🤟
Lucky you, because it was brocken off at some point. I was about to see them in Frankfurt, Germany but the tour was already cancelled then.
@@BigMuff75 Oh yeah, some of the group members tried to get Chuck out of his own band 🤣
Glad youre back dude :D
Our favorite fella is back

Maybe you can do a breakdown of what you’re using like you’re strings guitars & amps
I literally would have picked the same 5. Wicked vid.
the way you played leprosy made it hit even harder!
I'm still waiting for the next part of Horror Story
Thank you bro 🤘
R. I. P. Chuck
I have been listening to death non stop recently. I wish my guitar was fixed rn :(((((

Chuck's long lost son.. thank you for taking up the torch 🔥 \m/
"A moment of clarity" is my favourite
Chuck must've wrote that post nut
G string!
Ace tabs there, man. =) Also, maybe it's just me, but you sorta look a bit like Chuck, as well. ^^
Great demo. Thanks for the inspiration.
woohoo! These are the best. thank you!
Would love to see you cover some Baest, feel like you would do them justice 🔥🤘
I like to watch your video’s , thanks for this one
Now...how to get that tone for extra inspiration?
That Crystal Mountain part is a little bit modified Grieg's In the Hall of the Mountain King.
It doesn't matter how long a new video takes. Think about ten years from now and if they'll still be good and that called timeless
Excelente recopilación!!! Gracias por compartirlo!!! Saludos!!!
Hey, man! What exact Jackson do you use? I see Jackson pickups and I guess the Floyd is licensed Jackson version?
Muito bom, faz da Baptzed in blood e Story to tell

Waiting (im)patiently for your original album :)
Good work man!
Amazing!!! Thanks for the video!!!
Spirit Crusher is my favorite Riff

What is the thickness of your pick? And gage of string? Love your content!! G string
I am also wondering string gauge. I can't tell if he has really strong fingers, really light strings, or a little of both lmfao

Great video! Thanks ❤
Can i ask a question?
Today when i tried to switch tuning from standard to D Standard, the high E broked,is it normal if it is the first time that i tried an alternate tuning?
start with down tuning the highest string to prevent string breaking
@@waleedzkhan so i have to start changing from e to b to.... Not from E to A to....
@@ant_crl26711 yeah bro you got it ebgdae is the right order
