Hey man, do you think its possible to fix a broken PCI Express x16 connector on a gpu? Its really really busted up.. but if doable it would be totally amazing, please get back to me :)
2:49 Piezo speaker! I love this particular design with the springs making the contact, as it's much easier to take apart than if it was soldered with wires. The color is totally normal.

Ha, ha MUCH easier than Vince's! I'm not ready to tackle a "real" watch yet...but someday. I actually have an old gold pocket watch...might have to pull it out and have a look at it. I'm enjoying your videos as well!
Recognize the thing on the back immediately and looks like other people already let you know! Piezo Speaker, but hey having a simple fix is perfectly fine by me. Short videos are good too, especially when I don't have time to watch a 30 minute one! I do electronic fixes like this too occasionally as a hobby along with hack mods too, and I'm just glad I can watch other people do things I enjoy doing and actually learn from them too!
I love this challenge. I love these videos. I wholeheartedly agree with your sentiment to fix old stuff. Thanks for making these videos and being so detailed about your repairs.

Of course I had the best watch of the time back then.....NOPE, not the calculator watch😂; I had the Remote Control Watch🤣 Drove my teachers in school batty, nut did come in handy in couple of classes when actually needed to rewind or stop one of those infamous “health class” videos😉 Congrats on PS4 profit👍🏻 Good luck on the last challenge 🍀 Cheers✌🏼
Another great video dude. Thanks for uploading. Surely you have to show us a quick video of you winning a level on that watch before you sell it! Cant believe it has a headphone jack haha
As many have said piezo speaker usually connected to the main part of the watch by a small spring that touches the center of the piezo the spring usually rests in a round hole the center part of the piezo looked a little tarnished. A piezo speaker is an electro static type speaker the other contact for the speaker is the watch case
Just found this watch from growing up. Thanks for the vid! I did try to remove all the corrosion which I feel it does look pretty good. Got a new battery and installed it back to how you put it back but it doesnt turn on. Is this something you may be interesting in a PT2 vid to see if/what I can/cannot repair? Would pay of course.....
You should check if the battery lasts through the week. I have three similar watches: one loses picture on a new battery within the hour, the other two drain new batteries in about one or two weeks. Maybe they were always that power hungry, I don't know, but it sure makes wearing them unappealing...
Hey man I have 3 star fox watches all with the same issue. When a battery is inserted they begin to continuously beep on and off. I took all three apart and cleaned them. I did a visual look at the solder joints and traces. I don't really see any corrosion. Any idea what is going on? I mean all three do the exact same thing. The one I had for a few years and worked last time I had a battery in it. Now nothing.
Nice item Steve, I think you will turn a profit on it :-) That little circle thing on the back cover is a piezo buzzer for the sound if you didn't want to wear headphones.
I need help with my PS4 1215! It got BLOD and i tried different hdm1 cable and power cable but that didn’t do it. Now i am considering the washer fix but the inside is diffrent from the earlier versions of the ps4 so i have No idea how to do so. Please help!
I could be wrong but I don’t think they’d have been making Super Mario World watches before 1990 as the game only came out on the Super Famicom in November of 1990 in Japan. The Super Mario Bros 3 watch might have been earlier though as it was a different design (and there were also Tetris and Zelda versions of that watch). There was a Starfox game in the style of this watch.
0:00 this is a piezo (it beeps and has a very high efficiency but very bad sound ) - the coloration is normal If you mix vinegar, lemon and food sodium, you can remove and cancel the corrosion of acid batteries, first add the elements that has acid corrosion to a mixture of vinegar and lemon, then you add the sodium (just a few, it will bobble up and speed things up)
I have the exact same watch. Unfortunately I was wearing it and it got caught on something and the band's screw managed to break a little piece of the plastic watch edge off. Could you recommend a way to fix this? As now the band won't stay locked in. I still have the little plastic bit that came off too.
Your's looks like a Nelsonic original, Retro Future's I am sure was a Zeon branded one for the European markets as Nelsonic didn't have any means to enter the market when it was just easier to subcontract it to small firm. To make more profit you can charge the buyer for the shipping fee, that way you won't cut into your strict budget as much as you are atm.
Anything over 100 years is considered an antique, I think you mean vintage? That's how we do it in the UK anyway.
You didn't test the piezo transducer(speaker that you didnt know what it was) in the back

I was just ready to answer..on the back it's an old speaker that's beeping...Hunter is absolutely right

This used to exist on all of the 90s handheld LCD video games. Those two springs connect to them.
