I feel the same way, something about this game with its gameplay loop and game world/character art style has just hooked me in. I think it definitely will blow up, especially if/when Valve puts out some sick cinematics/trailers similar to TF2's

What’s great about deadlock is it’s pulling everyone in from all different types of games in, me personally have never been a fan of mobas, but this game has me in a choke hold at the moment
I 100% agree! I think that's why this game has so much potential too is the fact that it can bring in and interest people from completely different games - hopefully this game takes the world by storm when it comes out, it's already doing damn good for being invite-only atm

Deadlock is just the best mix of, like, everything. It feels like a roguelite game, but multiplayer. You start each game weak as shit and can slowly upgrade yourself in so many different areas that drastically change the way you play the game. Every ability is overpowered, making them feel good to use, but you have ways to counter them, making them fun to play against. Infernus hitting you with a bunch of debuffs and damge over time? Debuff Remover. Haze ult melting you before you can get out in time? Metal Skin. Its just so good, man. This game is so fucking good.
@LevelUpLifting counterplay exists in other hero shooters, but they usually don't work out very well. in overwatch, comp games devolve into the tank players staying in spawn, constantly swapping heroes that counter the enemy team tank, until one of them gives up and sticks to one character. thanks to items costing souls, having limited item slots, and that you only get half of your souls refunded if you sell an item, it makes counterplay interactive and have a cost for both sides, preventing that kind of stalemate situation from occurring. Additionally, if you're Haze and the enemy team starts using metal skin to counter you, you can use something like refresher to use 2 bullet dances back to back, countering the counter.

My favorite thing about the melee system is that I've loved For Honor for years (but unfortunately it's a ubisoft game) and this is the first time I've ever found another game where the parries feel just as satisfying.
I lowkey wish I got into For Honor, it actually looks so sick but I totally understand you on the Ubisoft part LOL Parrying ppl in any game just feels so satisfying, it always hits that dopamine

Ultimately I stopped playing because I couldn't get my friends into it. Unfortunately a 7 year old game that's 100 GB is a big ask. The idea of a medieval MOBA fighting game is just so incredible. My hope is that a studio like Torn Banner (Chivalry 2 dev) makes a game that can recreate that magic.

I really would like to play this game. Not because i don't have it (i have played it) but everything happens so fast and is SO hard to understand something or what i am supposed to do. I am happy that many people is having fun tho
It definitely takes time to learn and I had trouble comprehending wtf was going on in the beginning too I know that this video here isn't the best for teaching ppl how to play but I moreso just wanted to showcase how fun it can be But there are a ton of helpful guides out there and using the game's built-in replay feature to rewatch your games to see how you played is really helpful for improving too

@@LevelUpLifting it really is, but get this, apparently instead of rage building, shiv would collect trophies (reason why some characters say dont let shiv collect trophies) that looked like hair spray cans and that would build his rage, using all the trophies lets u go into the ape form thing haha

I really would like to play this game. Not because i don't have it (i have played it) but everything happens so fast and is SO hard to understand something or what i am supposed to do.
I am happy that many people is having fun tho
It definitely takes time to learn and I had trouble comprehending wtf was going on in the beginning too
I know that this video here isn't the best for teaching ppl how to play but I moreso just wanted to showcase how fun it can be
But there are a ton of helpful guides out there and using the game's built-in replay feature to rewatch your games to see how you played is really helpful for improving too
