The best part was them showing Ewing and Melo over and over. Celebrating, high fiving, knowing they had it wrapped up 😂
Especially after Melo was bitching about the Nuggets giving Jokic his old jersey number. But now he's showing up courtside at Knicks games trying to glom onto their current success. Dude, make up your mind!
@@daveclark8337 You nailed it. Melo always has been a weasel. Basking in Knicks glory when he anchored them in mediocrity. Yeah, I know it's Dolan's fault. But Dolan had to go out and get the most Dolan-y star he could find. Melo was it.
@@David-iv6jeto hear melo say he didn’t force that trade on his podcast 🤣 these players keep trying to rewrite history on their podcast
@@t-god2439 Really wish Melo would just own up and admit that he wanted the most money under the biggest spotlight. People would respect him more if he was honest about where he was at back then. Well, that and admit that he didn't want to share that spotlight with Jeremy Lin.
@@Kagemusha08 once I heard melo take on his trade from Denver. It just bleed into all his other takes about his career and playing days for me. After that I could hear the delusion in all his accounts
As a Pistons fan with absolutely no dog in the fight, watching New Yorkers go completely silent last night as entertaining. Maxey was incredible - now I want the Sixers to comeback and win this thing.
I wonder if the other piston's fan feels the same way.

Ew Lowry. I hate his flopping ways.

Duddddde.... I couldn't stand him when he was on the raptors. Now that he's on the sixers I love the guy
When the Knicks play rough, its "Blood in the Garden" we have to celebrate them for their grittiness. When someone does it back to them, its a crime against humanity
? What embidd has been doing this series has been unacceptable.
The Flagrant on Mitchell Robinson during gm 3 was dirty but seeing Fennessey cry about the Flagrant last night was a bit cringe. In today's NBA is that a Flagrant 1, sure but an ejection? Insane. His feelings are hurt, I get it.
Fennessey sucks. More nerdy white guys who have never played a varsity sport.
They've let nix and celts play bully defense like I haven't seen in a decade.
The call last night should not have been a flagrant. Trae Brunson initiates the contact and Embiid is making a play on the ball.
This just made me want the Sixers to come back and win this series even more.
Imagine rooting for that ahole embidd.
It made me want Embiid leg to fly off ala the Simpsons episode with the severed leg kicking football... Like if the game winning shot of game 7 is his leg spiking the ball back into the hoop I know I will be cheering.

Man is crying about the flagarant but Mitch can shove oubre to the ground off-ball and I’m sure he loved that.
That was ridiculous. The officiating in this series has been WAY TOO one sided.
Really should’ve been a Chris Ryan pod to celebrate this W
That'll come when the Sixers get knocked out.
I believe CR is on vacation
Did Sean Fennessey at 11:23 ask “are there people in Philadelphia who are like Embiid is my favorite player?”
You have literally worked with Chris Ryan for years.
I’m in Pittsburgh and Embiid is my favorite player. Though Maxey is now a close second.
This is such a weird series as a Sixers fan. The level of hate Knicks fans have for us is crazy. I guess not having a good team for 30 years will make you think round 1 is the finals??
For real. I'm not a fan of either, just here for the basketball, but damn super fans sound so wild with the one sided bias, especially Lakers and Knicks fans.
or maybe its the 200 years of historie between these cities and a flopping cry baby who decides to try to kill everyone on the other team
Or that your team is dirty AF? Could that be it? What have you won?

@@denigsterBrunson hasn’t tried to kill anyone has he?
People are saying this was an improbable win for Philly but forget that game 2 was an improbable win for the Knicks
Game 2 was a ref aided win. Even the NBA had to admit as much.
Remember Game 2 and the 'non fouls' on Maxey during the inbounds play?
The knicks are in NO WAY choir boys. They've been beating the hell out of Embid, Maxey, and others throughout the series.
Things tend to balance out.
I hope it hurts.
Oh like one legged mcstroke face isn’t being a dirty ass player? Give me a break. Nobody on the Knicks yanked down a guy going up for the ball. Or threw elbows. Or pretend he’s clumsy and trips and falls on whoever is on the floor or kicks people in the nuts. Embiid is as dirty as draymond. It’s a shame because he is already a great player he doesn’t need to be a dirty fuck also
You're on the list of comments I'll come back to after Knicks win in 6.
@@scottyc3833 ...oh, it DOES hurt. 😂🤣😂
Scotty🤣🤣🤣🤣
It's gonna hurt more when Embozo asks for a trade in a month
I can’t believe how much he’s crying about the Embiid flagrant. Like that was a clear attempt at the ball. Brunson leaned into him 😂
Knicks fans cry about Embiid but would take him on their team in a second and they know it
Right?? I actually thought it was one of the worst flagrant calls I’ve seen in a playoff game since it appeared to be a play on the ball. This guy is a clown or maybe just a Knick troll.
Calling that a flagrant but Mitchell Robinson not getting a flagrant for throwing Oubre to the floor shows how stupid the flagrant foul rules are
Shittiest performance and dude had a triple double lmao
No they wouldn't. Nobody wants Embiid. Dude plays half a season then disappears defensively in the playoffs. Dude is low key a team killer..building around him just for the inevitable injury. Next year Dude will have ALS and ovarian cancer play in 20 games and 6ers fans will be like "MVP material"
Couldn’t believe they called that a flagrant. Trae Brunson initiates the contact and Embiid making a play at the ball. And yes, throughout THIS YEAR, Knicks fans were begging to get Embiid in a trade.
This is without a doubt the single best episode ever of Bill Simmons trolling someone. I laughed through all of this as Bill constantly pokes with examples and stats and history to put a true die hard Knicks bleeder into a despairing hateful frantic frenzied rant. And he does it with a smirk and a lot of chuckles. This is why BS is the GOAT of pundits.
Yes! 😂😂😂😂😂
Yeah Bill is on a tier by himself.
Love the effect Embid has on opposing fans!!! He definitely Philly!!
Embiid loves playing the villain
I’m a Sixers fan and Joel Embiid is my favorite player 🤷
Me too bro. Embiid deserves better.
This goof says Embiid "had one of the most pathetic performances in a close out game." He has an injured knee, had a bells palsy attack, a migraine that day, and he had a triple double!
Apparently he's just faking it and it's a pr move. Knicks fans don't even try to make sense
Best ending ever lmao
Love how they dedicated 20 minutes to what a heartbreaking, improbable, and fluky loss this was for the poor Knicks. When they had an arguably more improbable and fluky win over the Sixers in game 2.....but that's due the Knicks tenacity right
Hahah exactly. And you gotta love this GRIT AND GRIND fans absolutely begging for Embiid to get suspended for a game. That was a horrendous flagrant call. Brunson initiates contact and Embiid is going for the ball.
I can not imagine being more ego-centric than Knicks’ fans. Pretty incredible
Congrats. You described every fanbase 😂
Yep, every other fan of every other team in the league loves every single player. Rainbows and Unicorns.

Pearl clutching on the Embiid foul is off the charts, c'mon man it wasn't that bad.
It took maxey hitting a shot from the freaking logo and then getting Mitchell Robinson to fall for a pump fake and foul him on a 3. And hart not hitting those free throws. Just a perfect shit storm honestly

Sweet salty knicks tears I love em
Maxey’s game is fun ash to watch😂
It wasn't a playoff game, but Tracy McGrady's 13 points in the final 35 seconds against the Spurs is probably the greatest individual finish ever. Four possessions, four 3s, each one more difficult than the next, including a 4-point play. Amazing.
Love the Soundgarden reference @7:45 😂
The fact that you can lay down until they turn a regular foul into a flagrant foul, then immediately get up and not be called for delay of game is crazy to me.
Facts. And the fact you have a Knicks fan on here talking about Embiid is picking on people is the softest shxt I have ever heard.
I hate that shit😂 like all the players in the league will roll around like they’ve been shot and the second the refs start to review it, they’re up and laughing on the bench. Makes no sense
@@andone3466 like bro, they fucked the flow of the game up with no consequences. Like if it wasn’t a flagrant in real time, why we changing it because it’s in slow motion? They even do it off flops, like no contact at all. That HAS to be delay of game
@@domlitt9001 guarantee if they start calling that the players would stop 💯
Knicks haven't been able to contain Maxey all series.
I've been arguing this for a bit now, Tyrese Maxey should be 1A right now - his speed is second-to-none and he will let it fly from anywhere. When they go through Joel Embiid is slows everything.
Maxey is amazing. Haven't seen dominance from a little guy like this simce AI.
Yeah, I don't understand how much they're relying on just dumping the ball to the big man, that's not even putting pressure on the nix defense. Let Maxey run them a bit ragged and see if they're still crashing the o-boards as effectively as they have been.
@@ab-hv8qs Kyrie???? Dude dropped a 40 ball in the finals. Curry every year. Brunson literally just dropped 50
@@Shortballa11eh i dunno, never thought those players (curry, brunson, kyrie) as dominant. They are crafty and skilled, but so much of their skill depends on their shots falling.
Maxey is reminding me more of Iverson and prime Derrick Rose. When they want it, they will get by you to the basket. The best you can do is have a big guy come to help and challenge the shot.
Also in this series, i think Maxey is clearly out playing Brunson. I'm a Knicks fan and i love Brunson, but I can admit that Maxey is showing that he is a class above Brunson.
Just a reminder Embiid is avg 32/10/6 on one leg, half a face and constant double/triple teams this series. Shaq had Kobe, Embiid finally has Maxey
I noticed too they are hacking embiid retry good
Lmao - Embiid and Maxey have no business being in the same sentence as Shaq & Kobe 😂😂😂

BTW Embiid has always been an Embiitch but it’s just now finally getting revealed because the Sixers are playing the Knicks.
Yeah the guy whose playing on one leg with one eye who just played a career high 48 minutes because the Sixers cant go 2 minutes with him on the bench without the team collapsing, who had a 15 rebound 5 block triple double is a bitch. Sure guy. The real bitch is Brunson who fans right into his hip forcing his arm down then lays on floor like he was shot in head, until the foul was upgraded at which point Brunson hops up completely fine.
Lol don't know where you got that from but good one bro. Damn! There's no way all knicks fans are this dummb.
I think the series is amazing because we can all tell the 3 best teams in the East are the Sixers, Knicks, and Celtics.
Knicks fans will go into hiding forever after this chokejob. Never change NY.
we can only hope
naw, we are out here, gotta go get game 6 on the road.
The end of this clip was incredible 😂
Embiid has been pretty dirty this series lol but he’s overblowing the fuck out of that flagrant at the end of the game, there was zero wind up and just mistimed when he was gonna bring the ball up, he was acting like Embiid picked up Brunson and threw him in the stands🤣
It wasn’t the most dangerous foul, just dirty & sad.
@@davidscholten6707 it didn’t even feel intentional to me, like I said, no wind up but just brain dead timing, not dirty imo, just unfortunate mostly
@@davidscholten6707 it wasn't dirty though, he was going for the block, he just timed it wrong. Knicks fans cry about that foul but are fine with Robinson actually throwing Oubre go the ground. Make it make sense
@@dcschuck7 I’m confused by the calls too. I like that they aren’t automatically awarding fouls since the all star break but it doesn’t feel consistent.
Sean must have brain damage to think the flagrant on Brunson was on purpose
I think it was too tbh, embiid paused and then smacked him in the face didn't look like an attempt on the ball at all imo
If you don't think that was on purpose, then you must think Embiid is the most uncoordinated player in the NBA. He missed the ball by 3 feet. Brunson had the ball at his hip when Embiid hit him in the face.
@@Golferperson1 embiid literally stole the ball from Brunson a possession or two before that using the same down swatting motion. Clearly playing the ball for anyone who isn’t delusional
Brunson pushed embiid backwards so when embiids hand came down he was moved out of place..not intentional should have been offensive foul tbh
@@goseeaboutagirlEmbiid isn’t a spiteful girl and he always goes for the ball like he did the last 2 times he stripped and blocked Brunson, this time Brunson ran right into Joel hip and forced his arm down onto Brunson. Joels reflex had no choice but for his arm to go down.
Both squads were absolutely gassed in that 4th quarter. What a game!
calling migraines from Bell"s Palsy staged is really classy for someone talking about Embiid's character.
I'm saying. This was a bad look and pretty unclassy, moreso than the Embiid fouls were. This guy threw a tantrum with name calling like a toddler.
The knicks homerism shining through is wild 😂. The flagrant could’ve easily been an accident when your fighting for your season in a playoff game.
Am I the only one who finds it funny that Melo is sitting in the Garden pretending like he is Knicks royalty now that the PO started? His biggest achievement in Knicks jersey is one 2nd round and driving Jeremy Lin out of town because of jealousy 😂😂😂
Bill- love it when you talk the what if’s. You created that remember from TBoB!

I legit was stunned...was on the phone with my brother who is a 76ers fan and we went quiet for like 30-seconds after the shots.
Exactly what I was thinking. 8 points in 8.9 seconds. The fact that it was also against the Knicks and at the Garden makes the parallels all the more devastating for Knicks fans.
I was waiting for this comment lmao. The parallels are insane, actually surprised that bill never mentioned it.
@@lanoa111 he mentions it once very briefly but I was legit surprised it wasn’t the main comparison of this entire conversation.
The Knicks are not the monster their fans and the sports media make them out to be. The Sixers are the more talented team, but they unfortunately tend to be gutless in tough playoff matches. Maxey is the only guy who seems to have any dog in him.
Joel manned up in Ot. I was surprised
He's a front-runner, when things are going well for them, he's always on the up-and-up.@@thewalruswasjason101
You Philly fans are nuts The knicks have nothing but dogs on the team
To be fair, the Sixers were the second best team in the East when they were healthy.
Oubre does too and embiid does for about... 2 quarters
It’s so funny cause as a raps fan this is exactly how I’ve felt about the 6ers for years LMAO
Please we all know what Pascal did to him. You can't say shit.
The video is so good. When Bill starts his, "Ok let's see where this ranks on the most horrific losses..."
Sean's reaction is like, holy shit, I agreed to do this why? Alright I guess.
Bill: Here’s my fear for you
Sean: Goddammit
For me it was more like TMac esque with his 13 in 13 seconds with the way he got the ball and instantly launched it and made the bucket
"For the purposes of Soundgarden acknowledgment, we'll say 'Outshined'."
Shit like this is why The Ringer (alongside Secret Base) is (are) tops.
Overreact much on the Embiid head shot to Brunson? Wow. That wasn’t that big of a deal. Brunson buried his elbow in to Embiid’s chest prior to that. While it is playoff basketball, never understood how the offensive player can initiate so much contact and get foul calls on the defense. Although Embiid definitely fouled him. Being a fan of neither team, it has been a very entertaining series to watch but quite frankly, while both are great talents, I find both Brunson and Embiid equally annoying.
Yeah that was utterly ridiculous lmao it was clearly not intentional but clearly Sean is just a super homer so it makes sense that he would be this whiney about it
Gotta fit the narrative man. Embiid is a dirty hack 🙄
Seriously, don’t let a Knicks fan and a Celtics fan tell you how to feel about him.
Yeah brunsun is a complete foul merchant and while embiid definitely got him bill simmons could watch Jayson Tatum shoot someone and later say "Tatum was innocent"
That hit to the head woulda been a ball block except for being pushed off and back 3 feet.
Is he serious with his analysis of the foul on Brunson? That absolutely was not a fragrant
There’s nothing to vent. Maxi went supernova all respects to him.
That’s was cool, he hit Brunson in the face up 4! Great play
"I really want this sixers team to be burned alive." in the most casual demeanor possible. Now that's some Knicks fan energy 😂
I loved it. Seeing the regular scowl on Brunson's face turn into an expression of disbelief and embarassment was *chef kiss*
I hope Philly wins this series. Brunson and his Napoleon chip on the shoulder needs a reality check. Dude chucks shots in iso like it's going out of fashion.
he shot 50% from the field and scored 40 points..............
@@peterludwig7721Yeah but you know like we all know that Brunson is a fraud flopper who is giving free points after literally just jumping backwards into defenders or flapping his arms after a clean block like vs Oubre. It’s tiresome when that flopping guy keeps a scowl like you can’t touch me, because it’s like true, nobody is even allowed to breath on you.
I think Brunson faked embiid on that flagrant. He clearly thought he was gonna block that
Embiid actually got the ball on that too. Lol
What?! Lol. Look at the replay. He’s nowhere close to the ball.
Even on the replay you see him still trying to make the and 1 but Embiid grabs his hand to stop him. it's only then that he falls and stays on the floor acting like he got punched on the nose. He's always grabbing his nose. It must be a trade secret for elite floppers that are smaller in size.
Talking 'Durant-ish' - Embiid leaving to join the team that defeated him would be hilarious
Maybe the best ending of an episode yet 😂
Game 2 was just as improbable . Only difference is it was the sixers who lost a 6 point lead in almost the same amount of time left on the clock .
We all know the “process” but a 20-25 minute video in depth on it would be great, like I really think they miss way more than they hit during it, like way more! And analyzing each pick, player and trade, would be great
if Embiid was actually healthy for once, a Sixers v Celtics conference finals would be awesome to watch. Maxey is on his way to becoming a superstar.
Could this guy cry any more. OMG if a Knicks player did what Embiid did, this fan boy would be saying how tough the Knicks are.
Real sixers fans 100 percent agree on the embiid rant. Disgrace to our team
We will relish on Knicks fan tears after they lose after being up 3-1 in this series😂😂😂😂😂
Sooooooooo nobody's gonna talk about Brunson's EPIC choke job throwing the ball away when he shoulda just put up that 3?
Knicks had TWO timeouts after Maxey tied the game in regulation. One timeout advances the ball.
I get that you want to catch the Sixers off guard but that was a time to reset and refocus before the final shot.
if the sixers win this series it will be so reminiscent of the tim thomas game tying shot in game 6 vs the lakers in 2006
I feel like the series shifted when Maxi hit that 3
That Edward Norton Hulk was dope
you should understand that Knicks are Knicks, you don't need to make analysis of their losses
What Sixer fan would be cool with that flagrant? About half of the ones in the game thread I was in, apparently.
That wasn't intentional.. knicks fans don't even try to make sense
“Bad look for the league” I wonder what he felt about Malice in the Palace.
New Yorkers shared anger for embiid is hilarious we’re all guilty
That’s Embiid on 1 leg and 1 eye and a migraine. 👀
To answer for Philly fans, Maxey is by far our favorite player, embiid is tough, he's technically good enough that he's just the burden we bare, I'd love for them to have traded him for a big package at the beginning of this year and build around max but it is what it is
I swear bill finds the most bias homers he can find😂
As long as they hate Embiid. The ringers have been hating on him before he even played his first game. I'm sure that video is still on their UA-cam page.
That Tim Duncan shot was a 3 😢
Maxey was my 3rd rated prospect that draft
I had him above Melo and below Ant and Hali.
If there was a re-draft, that would be the top 3 picks. Desmond Bane might be #4.
As a Looong suffering Knicks fan was waiting for the kick in the nuts that always comes and last nights game was it. Still think Knicks will win the series.
That game tying shot by Maxey was from the logo at mid court , not the top of the key.
I love Sean but as Sixer fan I love to see his pain 😂
As a Raptors fan it’s so hard for me to pick a team. I love Lowry but I hate Embiid.
As a Knicks fan, this loss kinda scares the crap out of me. Lose game 6, and everything comes down to a game 7
Such a brutal ending
Brunson had a HUGE mind blunder in the last seconds, he’s a lefty and they got defender in batum with a long wingspan sitting on the left the refs were giving them calls instead of PUMP faking making Batum commit a foul or Maybe A HESI to get him off the ground And force a foul Brunson just threw the ball away it pissed me off
This guy is utterly funny
Embiid putting in a piss poor effort and was still a plus 14
Because there's more to basketball than making shots dumbdumb.
This guy calling Embiid a loser is ironic
love this guy fawning over seeing Ewing before crying about Embiid. His kid is gonna be confused when he looks up some of Ewing's highlights.
More video!
How many lines did this guy do before joining the call?
knicks were up at 6 at home w less than 30 seconds. we choked. period. but we're allowed to choke -- we haven't been in a situation like this in FOREVER. these Nova Knicks and Hartenstein and OG need to learn how to close. i have faith that they will.
Kinda feels like the current Knicks roster is playing a modern version of the 90s knicks😂 with Embid as Ewing and Maxey as Starks. Its great Tv.
Starks is my fav Knick, but he was nowhere near maxey level.
Also Starks was a hothead that got into unnecessary troubles. He was like a wild dog you unleash, not a player you looked for leadership. Ewing did great job keeping him im check. Maxey is playing with class and heart, like a true leader.
If sixers are being smart, they should give the keys to Maxey and build around him by trading Embiid. Treat him like Iverson in early 2000s.
Maybe trade with Magic for Wendell Carter Jr and Jonathan Isaac and picks.
No, you're definitely right, more of a generalization.
If only the rest of the sixers weren't as soft as they have been, compared to the 90s nix.
@@ab-hv8qsHow can you sqy this when Embiid's finally gotten a good coach and a reliable number 2? It's the first time he gets carried like this and they should already trade him and build around his reliable partner? This isn't the celtics where everyone can get it. When Embiid sttuggles it's always considered his fault.. But now This is more like the nuggets in the sense that we have a number 1 and our number 2 is clutch enough to hit game winners or in this case send us overtime. This is their first season as 1 & 2 and they have 60mill to improve the roster in the off season. It wouldn't make sense to trade him now. I'd give it 2 more years before I'd even consider it.
Tough loss for New York fans, but man I love this series!
Knicks always going to find a way to knick it up 😂
It's been a very close series, each team has one unbelievable win, Knicks still up but if 76ers win game 6, they'll win a game 7 too..
It is weird to see the view of a fan on the other side. The Sixers outplayed the Knicks for almost all of Game 2. 5 games so far and the Knicks out played the Sixers for 2 of them and the Sixers outplayed the Knicks for 2 of them and the other game was pretty even.
It is just crazy that both teams have a loss in a game they dominated.
The series has been even. 3-2 makes sense although it should probably be 3-2 Sixers. If Nurse doesn't play 2 small guards then we the Sixers will win. Love Lowry, but can't play him with Maxey versus the Knicks.
ya i would not say the knicks have outplayed the sixers. really the story of the series has been the sixers outplay the knicks through the vast majority of the game and then get the doors blown off them in the couple minutes embiid goes to the bench. they're +48 with embiid on the court this series and -46 with him in the 35 minutes or so he's been off, the idea they've definitively outplayed the sixers just doesnt seem accurate
The pick and roll got McBride and Robinson confused on who was gonna foul Maxey or Embiid and then it was too late to foul considering how deep the 3 was.
Maxey boutta be the best point guard in the league
Maxey the most underrated guard. He doesn't turn the ball over and now he hits moonshots.
What about Chauncey in 04 against NJ?
@12:44 this is how most of us feel about LeBron honestly. Everything in the media is to cover for him
Calling his migraine due to his bell's palsy, "staged" is ridiculous. Seriously. Ridiculous. The guy had an interview hiding his face and everyone was wondering why. He decides to share the reason why and now all of a sudden it was a pr move. These glorified fans people call sports pundits don't realize they're the actual clowns. It doesn't take any amount of effort to spout this much nonsense and then call yourself a professional.
