    I make fried haddock this way!👌 A lil tip, try celery salt and a lil corn starch in with flour! The corn starch (used in chinese cooking) makes the batter thinner and soooo light & crispy!! The celery salt in the flour with all the ingredients makes a huge difference! My mother used celery salt in everything!! Try it and let me know!! Keep these Amazing recipes coming🙏 Best cooking channel on youtube!💯⚘⚘⚘⚘

    Bless you dear. You're Mom lives through you, and your cooking. Keep it up! I help people in my church group learn to cook fresh, instead of use processed foods to feed their families. ALL of the people in the group are single mothers mostly between 18-35, and they don't even know how to fry an egg, or cook a pack of spaghetti. These young women were raised by parents that also relied on take out foods their entire lives. I was so touched when one of the women started crying, and I thought it was because she was scared to clean out a fresh fish. The reason for her tears was FEAR OF THE STOVE! She had never used a stove in her life, and was frightened. She was laughing later on, and so proud of cooking her first EVER dinner..fried flour dusted sole with green grapes! I even taught her how to make the white sauce. She told me, her kids loved it so much..shed cooked the same dish 6 days straight!

      @@SoulFoodCooking Hear me out everybody in doubt! We got a large donation of fresh salmon over the weekend to our church services..so I decided to unconventional bread and pan fry it instead of just baking it. ALL the kids in our group loved it! Most of them never ate fish beforehand, and their parents were delighted 😃 😊. I'm going to start using this method at my house when I buy salmon instead of tilapia, as even I'm getting bored of salmon cooked in broths braised or sauce, and oven cooked with lemon. I really love salmon, so I thought I'd share this experience, and tell you to try. Tartar or seafood sauce with it was bomb too! Even between buns with mayonnaise cold from the fridge, add lettuce and onions..very very good. Mmmmmm

    Hello... May I ask what is the difference in taste when cooking fish with flour versus cornmeal?

    • @SoulFoodCooking
      @SoulFoodCooking  6 років тому +10

      The cornmeal provides a crispy grainy texture where as the flour gives the fish more of a crust.
