The DMX was my first drum machine. I later had others that would sync to my limited track count recorder at that time and I sold the DMX because it would not. I have always regretted selling it. When I saw this I immediately bought the download. Way too cool and far more "integratable" than the original, though the vibe can't compete, but then, you can't really hear the vibe in the mix lol! I now have plenty of tracks and everything is done in Cakewalk which I have used since it's inception, first as a midi creator synced to external recorders and now as an all in one out to a Yamaha DM2000 with 48 dedicated tracks and unlimited tracks from the software via bus's. A dream set up. But we all had to start somewhere and I fondly remember those days when we had to squeeze every drop from the orange. Now we have oranges everywhere. And Cakewalk is now free lol! At least for a little while longer. But I used it back when we paid for it. Loved it then, love it now!
Last Video in Portland - end of an era! Your next livestream will seem a little bit weird for you I guess - but we wish you all the best on your move 🤝
Def a cool piece of software, but in my opinion, VPROM with the legends bank is far more accurate in terms of how the sound is produced. It appears that this software is dependent on recorded samples, where as VPROM literally uses the converted EPROM/BIN files, as well as simulating the DAC of the unit in addition of varying the sample rate per sound to achieve the correct way that the unit raises and lowers the pitch of the sound. Don't get me wrong, this is definitely neat and is priced extremely reasonably, but this doesn't really do it for me. Even with the proper Oberheim branding and aesthetic.
Just a heads up I could not get it to work in Fl Studio . It would not export the midi patterns so I could not play the preset rhythms . I submitted a ticket but zero response .

Congrats on your move John - I have had lots of fun with this plugin :)
On the road again ..a big hug for you and your family from France
I just got that VSTi, John. And now happy to know that it's 'Unified'!! :)
Happy/safe travels to you/yours and best wishes to your family. 🙂 ✌💛
Great video. I had its younger sibling the dx. The beat it sound kit is awesome. Remember a lot of hip hop & dance from the 80’s had these beats.

Happy Trails John!
Unfortunately theres only stereo outs. You can't have a dedicated track for each section.
Its sounds better than Audio lounge but unfortunately it doesnt have multi outs
I need a cover of blue monday with this plugin
Your Parents are very lucky to have you.
You a great son!
I canot figure out for the life of me how to play the demo patterns in this plug in! can you point me in the right direction please?
I didn’t know there were demos…

I see that VPROM 2.0.4 costs €46. Which banks are included for that price?
@@robst247 everything. all the banks are free and you can just find the BINs online.

MIDI Patterns from Unify’s MIDIBox? Please write us with you computer/OS/Audio card and driver to unifysupport@pluginguru.com.
Problem solved . The plugin has no internal sequencer and MIDI patterns have to be dragged in to audition preset patterns . All good now :)
