    Looking forward to see your new journey at the new location. Embarking in seasonal jobs life and I’ve been binging on your videos for some inspiration and guidance. I found out about CoolWorks from your channel and I’m currently in the process of interviews and hoping to be placed soon. Thank you for sharing.

    Omgg! Thats so exciting….I will be there soon! When does the snow start? And we all get our own rooms?!

      Everyone doesn't get their own room. I think if you request or are placed in Mount Y you are more likely to have your own room. But we're pretty short-staffed in general so even people in the other dorms aren't really having roommates.

      Also the snow is on its way I'm currently getting attacked by flurries right now. I expect next month is when we'll start seeing much more of it.

      Thanks. I'm currently at the front desk, and I'll actually be leaving here in February.

      @ORGANIC FREEFORM B I like the front desk, I always say the Y is very fortunate because the guest are soo nice like a good 96% of guest are genuinely nice. Also the front desk managers are very helpful and always encourage front desk staff to ask questions. I guess it probably says alot that I decided to come back. 😄

    That dramamine aint no joke. How long did it take for you to get acclimated to the high altitude?

    • @bri_nicolex
      @bri_nicolex  3 роки тому +1

      About three days the second time around. The first time I got up to this high of an altitude it took me a week to feel somewhat normal. Although feeling out of breath after a walk stuck with me for weeks. 😬

    How much was housing?

    • @bri_nicolex
      @bri_nicolex  6 місяців тому +1

      Not gonna lie, last time I was there housing was kinda high when considering what they were paying hourly. As well as the fact that there are still a lot of places that provide free housing. I think I paid around $300 or $400 a month but I was only making like $13/hr at the time. I know their pay has gone up a bit but I'd check with their HR department if you're really interested. I love that place truly but the pay was too low, for me.

    Would you ever do work in Alaska?

    • @bri_nicolex
      @bri_nicolex  3 роки тому +2

      I talked about it with a friend and I'm totally open to it in the summer. I just hadn't found anywhere in Alaska that piqued my interest.

    Did you have your own room? & could you get food shipped to you?

    • @bri_nicolex
      @bri_nicolex  2 роки тому +1

      Getting your own room is not guaranteed, you're more likely to get your own room though if you work during the fall/winter as there are more people working in the summer time. Umm you can definitely get food shipped there, but as far as like food delivery services the only place that delivers in the area is domino's.

    Did you have to get the vaccine in order to work there? I just found you the other day and I'm enjoying your content.

    • @bri_nicolex
      @bri_nicolex  3 роки тому +2

      Great question thx. So yes, you do have to show proof of vaccination to live on the property. If for whatever reason you haven't received the vaccine, you have to take a covid test every week or two I believe. HR has these at-home tests you'll have to take.

    Do you have to make a deposit on your room up front, or at all?

    • @bri_nicolex
      @bri_nicolex  3 роки тому +1

      No housing deposit is required.

    Hey Bria! If you see this, I have a couple questions I would love to ask you! I’m starting at the Y the last week in August!
