I hear debate about isopropyl alcohol on the rollers. Any thoughts?
And... You're right ! Vwestlife on youtube talked about windex on pinch rollers. Tried it and it works really well.
The pinch roller after getting cleaned still releases black colour on the cotton...is it the colour of the roller coming out or dirt?
It’s most likely just the color from the rubber. As long as your tapes are playing and not getting ate by the player you should be fine.

Nice! I have a B&O Beocord 5000 cassette player and it worked perfectly just some months ago then I haven't used it. Just moved it. For some reason when I turn it on, now the capstan roller is spinning when power on? and when I press in a tape it tries to play and 1 sec after it just shuts off? Any idea why?? All the best!
What about the belts ? Is the counter working ?
alcohol will destroy you pinch roller over time dries it out makes it brittle
