Disdain is English "the feeling that someone or something is unworthy of one's consideration or respect; contempt." This is the only time I ever heard Floor swear on stage. This gives you a little taste of the younger, angrier, and much more rebellious Floor Jansen. This is the band that gave Floor burnout from too much responsibility and workload. However, she used this as a growing and growling experience. So happy that Tuomas called and changed the world of music forever!

You all are a lot of fun to watch. After Forever and ReVamp were important steps in creating the artist Floor is today. Nice reaction there is a lot to enjoy with both bands.
The band Revamp was popular in a small niche in the Netherlands. That is why everybody was so astonished in her home country to see Floor in "Beste Zangers 2019". Nobody knew who she was in her home country. Floor said "I had a lot of aggression during the Revamp years, and I am still not sure where it came from". Well, I think I know. She was devasted and deeply frustrated by the demise of the upcoming band After Forever where she performed since 16 years old. I don't think she understood why that band split up as it was just becoming popular. During her Revamp time, she did everything herself for the band and got in a deep crisis and burn out. She was just revovered when Nightwish asked her to learn the set list in 48 hours and perform in Seatlle.
Given that a major driver in After Forever breaking up was the ugly end of her long term relationship with the lead guitarist I think she was as much if not more devastated by that and is the source of the anger and aggression in Revamp songs.
Dominica. Floor's band on 2009 (After Forever) has stoped after 12 years together. In 2010 she created Revamp. This was suppose to be different and heavier than After Forever (Floor's words). Dominika is right revamp is like Floors teenage rebellious years when with Nightwish it's like she finally found her one true musical love and purpose - she is settled and happy
You're right, written on the 1st studio album "ReVamp", Disdain is released as part of "In Sickness 'till Death Do Us Part" co-written with Joost van den Broek written in the same year as her FMR disintegrated band "After Forever" and actually Floor's reaction to it. She was convinced that this was her bond and had been taken from her in disintegration. That she was so outraged about this is also reflected in the naming of her new band: ReVamp (being the Vamp again). a sort of processing of her personal drama: the breakup of After Forever. The fact that this had a major impact, but did not realize it at the time, resulted in wanting to have everything under control with ReVamp, not outsourcing anything and finally going under through a burnout. This also marked the end of her first relationship, which she processed by writing a song like 'While Love Died' within the Project: NORTHWARD, the hard rock project by Floor Jansen (Nightwish) and Jørn Viggo Lofstad ( Pagan's Mind). In the end this turned out not to be the real Floor, but the frustrated Floor who writes and sings her dissatisfaction with what had failed.

Angry Floor basically crashed the warm & fuzzy Christmas vibe you got from her in the last songs you reacted to, haha! Anyhew, Dominika you asked if all ReVamp songs are like "beep" this and that. Not all of them, no. In fact, Floor wrote one of her most personal & heartfelt songs titled "I Lost Myself" in ReVamp. It was her band. You have seen that documentary together right? Revamp...Angry Floor...there were a lot of angry songs she wrote in this time frame about her previous band breaking up and a related bad relationship breakup.
That's angry Floor she's gone though a break up with her old band Afterforever and with the guitarist that rumored had cheated on her. But that's what was floating around on the internet not sure how much of it was true but these rumors led to some people believing Tuomas was in love with Tarja and we all know how accurate those rumors were so take it with a grain of salt.
This is angry Floor. Her first band had broken up in large part because her relationship with her long term boyfriend who was the lead guitarist and founder of After Forever ended in a very ugly way. In her commentary in Sing Meinen Song she mentioned that in the end all that was left was hate. That anger informs a lot of ReVamp's music. Although my all time favorite song that Floor sings, Sweet Curse, is a beautiful ballad about the duality of love is also from this era. It beautifully captures how love can be the most wonderful thing when it goes well and how it can the worst thing when it goes badly.
This was before floor had a burn out but also put her on the radar for night wish . She did also do Ayreon and star one concerts . with her sister . If you wanna hear some ReVamp’s smoother song, you can check Sweet Curse
She’s was hot and still is 🔥
By the way disdain is an English word it means pogarda (side note for Dominika)
please check also Revamp- Wildcard live
Revamp...Angry Floor...there were a lot of angry songs she wrote in this time frame about her previous band breaking up and a related bad relationship breakup.
You guys should react to No Misery by Revamp
🤗🍒🤘🏻😘
just a metal girl
More old school Metal.
I am usually not a fan of growling, unless it fits the story being told by the song/lyrics and in this case it fits.
🤘🤘🤘🇫🇮😜
That's angry Floor she's gone though a break up with her old band Afterforever and with the guitarist that rumored had cheated on her. But that's what was floating around on the internet not sure how much of it was true but these rumors led to some people believing Tuomas was in love with Tarja and we all know how accurate those rumors were so take it with a grain of salt.
Do love this song very much from revamp. Most of there songs are some heavy and different than Nightwish. Because this is more metal
Saludos desde México 🇲🇽😉👍 por favor reacciononen a Natalia Lafourcade y José José con UNA MAÑANA 🙏
floor was not happy here
I don't know if I am right but I am almost sure that she was suffering from Burnout during this time.
Her burnout came a bit later, from the second half of 2011 onwards, more or less. Took her about a year to recover from it fully.
@@huubdonkersteeg2408 Thanks dude!
Disdain = a feeling of contempt for someone or something regarded as unworthy or inferior; scorn
I was there live and most of the viewers were very boring
Dominika - no grudge from me. I dont like it :-) This is too wild for me and the singing is all over the place. But its just me :-)
Young Floor was a wild chick back in the days^^
This was before floor had a burn out but also put her on the radar for night wish . She did also do Ayreon and star one concerts . with her sister .
There is a video where Floor sings with her sister :Floor & Irene Jansen - Who I am live at P60, Netherlands (2007)

They already knew each other since that Floor was in After Forever. After Forever was Nightwish's support act on their European tour in the summer of 2002, if I'm not mistaken.
🇬🇧 Norfolk with you guys for a young Floor
