We’ve learned so much doing our own and by watch JeepSolid videos. Invest in anti seize. Anything screwed/bolted back in (probably not the dash) add the anti seize will save you, or the next owner, some struggles. I hate the torx bolts they use everywhere. Enjoying the videos.
Any time you plan on it bring straight forward is when you have Murphy jump all over your project and you have be e broken bolts or something rusted stuck. Glad it was straight forward for you this time.
I have recently picked up a 1995 YJ in white at a local junkyard. It simply needed an ignition cylinder. I so far am enjoying your videos. Thanks and God bless!
Stock bumper always looks better for sure You need to go back and washers to those bolts though. Otherwise you will mark up the bumper even mor and the load is concentrated at the bolt head
For sure. Like an idiot I forgot to grab them at that store, but since I knew I was going to be taking the bolts right back out to put the winch plate and winch on, I didn’t worry about it for this video but when you see all the other things go on, you’ll see that it has washers.
More often pronounced as 3 separate letters, P-O-R (paint over Rust), foam brush is the way to go.... avoid any threaded holes and bolt threads that may be removed, or adjacent metal (not welded). Topcoat with spray paint when tacky if exposed to UV (it fades but doesn't break down). POR dries really shiny, so I almost always top coat with matt black.
Foam earplugs for bolt holes work well when painting.
That’s a great idea!
Gonna have to go buy myself a YJ so I can follow along! 😂😂
Haha. DO IT!
Thank you for this. You really are doing great work!!!
Thank you!
So stoked to see you at yet anther YJ prodject! I had watched your older content, and now I will definatly tag along with this build.
Thank you!
Thank you for your vid....doing my windshield frame on my YJ and this is very helpful!

Glad you enjoyed it

Awesome!! Can’t wait to go for a ride in this Jeep!!!!
Haha yeah you actually haven’t ridden in it yet.
Great job! I am in the process of installing new fenders on my '93 Wrangler and I think I'll be using POR15 for painting the fenders...
Looks good sir, progress is looking very good.
Thanks!
We've been trying to figure out what we need to handle the rust on our newest project. Definitely gonna look into this stuff.
Awesome video 👍👍👍

Yeah. It’s very glossy. I hadn’t thought to topcoat with matte spray paint. I have another spot to do and that sounds perfect
I've always called it poor-15 haha
@DG Adams, I assume you use enamel matte Black?
Very helpful thanks
You’re welcome!
Came across your channel, love the content. I live in Chapin SC and have just begun of roading, would be great to meet up sometime for a trek.
Thank you! Yeah I hope we’ll get a chance to catch up!
Things comin together man. See you at pleasure island?
I wish I could. But, unfortunately, I’ll be at another event that weekend.
How well does Por15 stick to existing paint? I seen your painting on top in some places, no issues? Cheers!
None so far!
In case I have missed it. Do you mind telling us how much you paid for this Jeep?
Who are we kidding this applies to jlu hinge rust too
Hahaha. 🤣
Definitely paint over the por its not uv stable
Good to know. Even if it’s under the winch plate?
Snug them shackles down on the front, mine got stolen.
Yeah. That’s something I wonder about. Was thinking of just keeping them off until I hit a trail.
Make more videos pls
Haha. I am. Life has just been crazy. Have a few filmed, but haven’t gotten to edit them yet.
