OPENING DAY is Thursday, Dec. 16, 2021

Happy Holidays Skiers + Riders,
Firstly, let’s get to the really big news. It’s official, this Thursday, December 16th will be Opening Day of the 2021/22 Ski + Ride Season and what a way to kick off the season with a Powder-Day Opening-Day, following 6+ feet of new snowfall this week.
The big multi-day series of winter storm systems arrived Sunday afternoon and delivered 30” of snowfall at the summit and 20” at the base from Sunday night through Monday afternoon. The major part of the storm began last night, Monday evening, as temperatures dropped significantly bringing the snowline well below the 3,000 ft. elevation. As of Tuesday morning at 6am, we have current temperatures of 21 degrees at the summit and 26 degrees at the base and we’ve now picked up:
30 inches at the summit and 22 inches at the base overnight
5+ feet of snowfall at the summit and nearly 4 feet at the base since Sunday evening.
Looks like we’ll pick-up another few inches Tuesday before the snowfall drops off. We are looking forward to one more round of snowfall, with the forecast calling for an additional foot of snowfall for Wednesday night into early Thursday morning for our Powder-Day Opening-Day of the 2021/22 Ski + Ride Season.
When we open for the ski and ride season this Thursday, December 16, we’ll open with incredible powder day conditions followed by beautiful mostly sunny bluebird skies for Friday through the weekend.

For opening day, we are currently planning to run Chairs 1, 3, 6, 5, 7 and the conveyor + rope tow. As we dig out from the snowfall this week, we'll work to have Chair 8 running sometime on Friday, December 17.
