Dodge Ridge, your all mountain winter sports area with downhill skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing & snowshoeing. Located on 862 acres, with 67 runs, 12 lifts, 1600 vertical feet, 3 dining facilities, rental equipment and adult/children learn-to-ski or ride programs. Discover our new Family Lodge, with a cozy bistro and expanded children's snowsports center with a pre-school snowplay program.
Dodge Ridge Wintersports Area is located 30 miles east of Sonora, CA, on all weather Highway 108.

Boarding is easier for most people and its kind of like comparing rollerblades/skates to skateboarding just personal preference. Stop at the rental shop and if you hate skis I'm sure they'd let you swap over to a board.
