The funny thing is, when the text explaining the move Assurance pops up, it directly contradicts what he's thinking in the battle lol

Black & White 2 are such underrated Pokémon games. Last year, replayed the entire main-line series of Pokémon games (no remakes) in anticipation for Scarlet and Violet. I set each one up as a randomized nuzlocke. That marathon was the first time I'd played the Gen V sequels since they released in 2011, and I had so much fun playing them.
Oh, also, it's one of the only times an antagonist in a Pokémon game has attempted to kill the main character. The other is the most recent games. So it gets points for that.
There's no world they're under rated now a days. People worship gen 5 like it's the second coming of christ. It's over rated as hell.

Kyogre used to be my favorite Pokémon, but we took a break. Now I’m happy to say that it is my favorite again and nothing will ever change my mind.

I do think these challenges would be more tactically interesting if the regular pokemon couldn't randomize into legendaries, and the gym leaders all had to have fully evolved pokemon.
John and/or Tyler must be a fire emblem fan cuz there's been a good amount of FE music the last several months and I live for it

People always forget that Assurance doesn’t double the damage of the *user* has taken damage, it’s if the *target* already took damage in the same turn.
