Warm weather brings out the best in birds! Don’t be alarmed about the snow still on the ground, it was incredibly warm when we recorded this video. I don’t bring Gotcha or Letty outdoors unless I know it’s warm enough for them, 55+ degrees and sunny!
His happy flappys show how much he enjoyed the fresh warm air 😄.
And he was happy to see one of our neighbors again after a long winter! They have a blue and gold macaw that we visit frequently during our summer walks trough the neighborhood.

❗️❗️❗️85% of parrots are either resold, given away, or abandoned within just 2 short years of being purchased. ADOPT DONT SHOP! Rescues are full of these wonderful birds, neglected, abandoned, and thrown out by inexperienced and most uneducated people that didn't know the kind of work and commitment it takes to have birds. STOP UNNECESSARY BIRD BREEDING FOR PROFIT, and help these magnificent creatures.
If you are unable to adopt then please consider donating to a rescue/sanctuary that volunteers their time to help these animals in need. 💚
I cannot stress enough how heartbreaking this sad truth is.... Too many people impulse buy parrots because of cute or funny traits they've seen in other birds. ❗️No two parrots are alike...
A life stuck in a cage is cruel and so unfair to these magnificent beautiful creatures.
They deserve the absolute best!
So if you are interested in a parrot, please research, volunteer at a parrot rescue/sanctuary, KNOW what you're getting yourself into before you take on the work that comes with loving and homing a parrot.
Parrots are a LIFETIME commitment. They can live up to 80+ years!!
I've given up many many things to give my two parrots the best life they can possibly have! (Night out, gone on weekends, vacation time, a clean quiet house, extra money.. Etc.)
But to me it's all worth it, my parrots are my family and I love them like my children!
Please DO YOUR RESEARCH before adopting.
After all, we have our friends, our jobs, and our hobbies...

Having a cockatoo or any other kind of bird is NOT easy! They are a lifetime commitment and a HUGE responsibility! With cuteness comes a lot of mess a lot of noise and of course a lot of mood swings, which means biting.
No two birds are alike, please do your research and consider adoption/rescue if you are interested in giving a bird a wonderful and loving forever home!
Never impulse buy, Educate yourself, and know what you’re getting into. It is hard, but it is worth it if you take your time and do things correctly! 💜 you’ll have a lifetime companion.
I think they are amazing birds but there is no way I could handle the noise. I love these types of birds from afar. I love watching your videos. Been watching since you had around 50,000 subs. I appreciate that you are up front about what it takes to have these types of birds and to always adopt. So many animals in need of homes.

Love GOTCHA and the gang. How awesome that your neighbor is a fan! We have always lived in the boonies with our birds. When she says "LIFETIME COMMITMENT" she isn't kidding. Our oldest bird, Bill, is a 60-years-old Greater Sulphur-Crested Cockie. He actually came over from Australia when they were still exporting them...they consider them PESTS in spite of the great PR they receive from tourists. We also have a baby Citron-Crested Cockie, Tazzie, a rescue Amazon and two Cockatiels. They all have their "outside" time. Our house is big enough and we have high ceilings so they can fly around...not at the same time. Hope you stay outside when he is on his perch...scares me to death to think a hawk, or a cat (that should BE INSIDE!) could attack him, Of course, he is a big guy, and absolutely adorable. If you want a cockatoo or parrot, do your homework. Volunteer at a zoo or rescue. They are our babies and we love them to bits. They fit in our crazy household and it wouldn't be the same without them. What is your Yorkie's name? I love my sweet little Yorkie, Jenna, six months ago to epilepsy (she was just seven) and I can't help but start crying every time I see one. My birthday is in June, and I am ready for a another special little Yorkie girl. She LOVED chasing Bill and Tazzie around...Tazzie would always yell 'WHAT'S UP!" and come running over to her...he still looks for her (or dear--here come the water works). We don't have many Yorkie peeps here in New Mexico, so I am looking for an AKC Yorkie breeder in surrounding states. Our ranch is at 7000 feet, in the mountains of Central New Mexico. Looks like you got more snow than we did! Thanks again for your awesome crazy posts...Tazzie was sitting here talking back at Gotcha! LOL! Once we had a skype from a bar in Australia and Bill and another Cockie in Australia were having a great time...Bill kept looking in back of the monitor for Cookie. Gotcha The Cockatoo Sooo true. It breaks my heart when I see someone walking out of a bird fair with a cockatoo thinking life is gonna be full of laughs and Lovin. Before I became sick I helped rehome so many birds, mostly because of the noise and hormones. Most often I received calls for Cockatoos, Macaws, and of course the larger breed of Conures. The dander issues were another reason that many new bird owners don’t think about. Cockatoos, Macaws, Cockatiels, and Amazons were high on the rehoming list due to their high dander problems.

Parrots are literally one of the hardest pets to keep up with-very messy and loud. People don’t realize what all goes into caring for them or that their vetting costs three times as much as a dog or cat. They can’t be seen by a regular vet.

I had a really emotionally heavy and rough day at work full of human suffering and these videos made me so happy.
"THAT'S THE GUY!" "AHHHH!" "AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH" (guy comes over). Wow - that was very effective. From now on, that's totally how I'm going to call my boss from my desk when i need him. Thanks Gotcha - nuther life lesson learned! :)

Aww..I love how sociable Gotcha is with the neighbors! He must really like that particular neighbor because he wouldn't give up till he got those head scratches! Seeing Ollie get so excited about that plane brought me back to the days forty years ago when my own son would just be thrilled to see a plane flying over.
