We have gotten endless requests to do the “what the fluff challenge” and we finally tried it today! So here it is!
His reaction had me cracking up around the corner 😂.
I really wasn’t expecting him to be so surprised.
Mom won’t disappear behind blankets anymore 😉. Lol

❗️❗️❗️85% of parrots are either resold, given away, or abandoned within just 2 short years of being purchased. ADOPT DONT SHOP! Rescues are full of these wonderful birds, neglected, abandoned, and thrown out by inexperienced and most uneducated people that didn't know the kind of work and commitment it takes to have birds. STOP UNNECESSARY BIRD BREEDING FOR PROFIT, and help these magnificent creatures.
If you are unable to adopt then please consider donating to a rescue/sanctuary that volunteers their time to help these animals in need. 💚
I cannot stress enough how heartbreaking this sad truth is.... Too many people impulse buy parrots because of cute or funny traits they've seen in other birds. ❗️No two parrots are alike...
A life stuck in a cage is cruel and so unfair to these magnificent beautiful creatures.
They deserve the absolute best!
So if you are interested in a parrot, please research, volunteer at a parrot rescue/sanctuary, KNOW what you're getting yourself into before you take on the work that comes with loving and homing a parrot.
Parrots are a LIFETIME commitment. They can live up to 80+ years!!
I've given up many many things to give my two parrots the best life they can possibly have! (Night out, gone on weekends, vacation time, a clean quiet house, extra money.. Etc.)
But to me it's all worth it, my parrots are my family and I love them like my children!
Please DO YOUR RESEARCH before adopting.
After all, we have our friends, our jobs, and our hobbies...
They only have us💗❗️❗️

Kay spence lighten up, it is harmless. I love and care for this bird like he’s my own child. We wanted to have a little fun. Funny thing is, when he IS in distress or afraid he makes calls much different than this, he whistles very loudly like an alarm, and paces back and forth from one foot to another. He has done this for example, when we’re outside in his harness and I need to run inside to grab something and he can’t see me for a few seconds.
But I always come right back to him as quickly as I’m able.
Cockatoo’s are loud all the time, period. Yelling and shouting just because they can! They’re very dramatic loves, ask anyone, this doesn’t mean they are distressed.
@@GotchaBird Some people with a lot of time on their hands just look for random things to get offended about. Best to just ignore them! Anyway nice video, love your bird.

And then he had a cockatoo tantrum when he didn't know where his mommy went... And then mommy came out and saved the day by reminding him that she still loved him!
He is so smart. I am one of those softies that cringes when the pet really wonders where their human has gone, but I really think he was trying to play the same trick on you! Lifting and covering up w the blanket then going down the hallway! That bird knew what he was doing! What a cutiepie! I love how you love him!

Gotcha has learned that life's not predictable. He believes in the magical blanket..because experience and imagination tell him it's possible. Gotcha will be working on the "blanket problem" for quite some time to come...lol.

I love gotchas little walk. I know it stinks he has a numb foot. It it gives him so much personality. That walk. He is the most adorable silliest bird. I have been watching cockatoo videos and doing homework on them for 2 years. I am preparing myself as much as I can with knowledge. I intend on getting one in the next couple of years. My kids are grown and out of the house. I am thinking it would be nice to have that companionship. My husband works and he doesn’t really want to play with me much lol.

Nope, it was just a suprised scream. Katie has stated that he does a very different scream when he's really scared, like a whistle. Cockatoos are huge screamers, don't get frightened because of that.
