Where exactly do you plan to mount those the P.1500 Monster was a open hull design for easier access to the gun to better load its 880mm shells that weighs 7 tons each which requires a crane to lift instead of a inclosed one so you can't exactly mount anything in this air

Yeah.... The Ratte wouldnt even need both main guns. The sheer concussion of one of those shells landing nearby would effectively kill all of those SUs. And probably send their burning wrecks flipping around for a second if reports from the D-Day inland bombardment missions are anything to go by...
Honestly, its a waste of ammo. The Maus turrets on the rear would be better suited to anti tank work. The main cannons would be better suited to leveling the city that dared get in its way...
The sound of the Tiger being crushed like a tin can under the Ratte is glorious.

Such a large machine would never bother using the main guns on a threat that small. It also would never bother to move since it can't.
It's an animation made for the sake of entertaining a few thousand internet surfurs, don't worry the slightest little bit.
of course it would have been able to move. As long as you are able to disperse the pressure its not that problematic. The only problem would be that the tactical value uf such a machine would be extremely low due to countless problems on the logistical and ....every other side
@@andrefasching1332 you don't just need to solve the pressure. You still need to apply enough force to the tracks to make them actually move
@@notlistening6499 well yeah, no shit. You need motors. While the vehicle would without a doubt be slow even on favorable terrain there are basically no limits on how big things you can motorize. The crawlers at the kennedy space center for example weight over 2700 Tons. Engines of the 40s were of course far less efficent, but the project would have been possible.
Thinking about it....a 1000 Ton panzer would actually be able to move quite "fast" as the usage of ship Engines could provide more than enough Ps/Ton for adequate movement
@@andrefasching1332 pretty sure the crawler was unarmored. 1,000 tons was just an estimate, in order to have decent armor, I think it would need to be a lot heavier than that. Plus you can't move at all on an empty tank, and they would have never had enough fuel to run the thing.

There was actually a Soviet land battleship concept design in WWII similar to the p1000 Ratte that also wasn’t built. At least according to tank encyclopaedia.

The Ratte vs. the kV Monster interesting but only the rockets are Abe to damage and that only at the rear Maus turrets...
The Ratte's armor is "only" 150-360 mm, modern tanks have an effective armor of 700mm+, but due to its size, it's more unlikely that you hit important parts of the Ratte
Those rockets have 6kg of TNT, and I dont think it would do any damage at all.

Fun fact Soviet tanks sometimes just put the gun width in the tanks name so the ISU-152 is equipped with the chonk 152 mm gun of the KV2 therefore ISU-152 T34's included T34-85 for the 85 mm ZIS-S-53 but KV series not included though neither the IS series

Honestly. The idea of a Tank battleship is cool concept except doesnt sound probable when you think about it more. It could be just aerial bombed by a bunch of airplanes and the fuel and resources to keep it going would take a lot more. Im sure there are more others that I haven't thought of right away

The p1000 ratte was a mass produced tank made to stop Russian KV6 that where undefeated causing destruction across Germany because tanks like the panzer 4 and panzer one had not been invented yet meaning german troops only had small arms like the BF109 and 20mm mg42 variants

Idk anything in wt but the ratte was planned with 150-350mm of armor soo anything with 350mm+ pen would go through but takes time to disable it
