@RexyBing Sorry if I annoy you on a Friday morning but maybe it has a little to do with Norman and Mickelson crawling into bed with the tyrant crown prince of Saudi Arabia hijacking pro golfers by offering oil money, undermining and watering down golf competition as a whole. Acting like henchmen for a country that produced 15 out of 19 terrorist who killed on 9/11. Just minor reasons like that😅
Yeah Phil is a real classy guy - turns his back on the folks who made him rich and famous ($400 million net worth) because he wanted more $. Then joined a lawauit against his former friends and colleagues, you think that's class? You sound like Phil's kind of guy. It was classy signing up for LIV after saying the Saudis have a horrible record on human rights and executing Kashoggi/ gays was horrendous. I also thought the way he ran down his ball on the green at the US Open, and putted it again before it came to rest, was the true mark of a great champion.
I have been taught it exactly like this. I am a 14 handicap but short game is the best part of my game. I just have 3 different shots. This one (bump n run) with 8i, sandwedge chip, and flop. All you really need around the green.
This is exactly what I'm doing right now. I use this technique so often and it's been amazing. I feel a lot more confident in my chipping and even the bad ones aren't horrible compared to before.
I’ve used this toe down technique for about 6 months, as I was struggling w precise good contact. It works amazingly, you still have to put in the work to get used to distances, and yes I still occasionally blade it, but mainly because I don’t toe down enough
Also add that you keep the club shaft vertical and stop the swing the moment it’s about to pad your front shoulder. That is clear on the video, but doesn’t get mentioned. A really great lesson, despite being slightly flawed. 👍
Best advice I’ve ever got around the green is what he alluded to at first. If you don’t like it, you can always putt it. Too many times higher handicaps pull out a wedge to hit a shot when a bad putt will beat a good chip 80% of the time around the green.
Always respect a man that temporarily walks away from his career to focus on his wife while she is going thru cancer treatments. Not a man that cheats on his wife.
I will listen to any golfer I see that plays golf with a scratch or SINGLE DIGIT HANDICAP. These Social Media Golf Experts can all miss me until I see you play on a course. ANYBODY CAN HIT SHOTS!.
Coming from a guy, whose ball was lying in a grass bunker on a down slope relative to the green, faced the opposite direction, opened his lob wedge, and hit it backwards onto the green, in a tournament, I should probably listen.
I remember playing in palm springs in 2016 and accidentally winding up on one of the other courses at LA quintana and seeing him on another cart looking at me like "what is he doing here"? Haha I think he may have had that course to himself that day? Pretty cool though. *Laquinta
I am a golf genius, I came up with better techniques to hit balls, including the magic chip, anti slice drive, better putts, bunker shots, anti chunk shots, high shots
Yes, he's amazing all right. Turns out that Dick Prickleson studied Advanced Golf Technique at the Sorebone Institute, where he often made strokes with his putter. Too bad about his soreassic arthritis, I guess he overused the driver.
WTF, FIGJAM hasn't had that small of a tummy in decades😂😂 What, did LIV pull one out of the mothballs, lol That said, Great tip and shot to master!! Fairways & Greens 4ever⛳️ RP
He’s one of the most golf literate and creative players the game has ever seen!
He talks a lot to make up for his lack of wins on tour
@@touristguy87 45 wins with 6 of them being majors is lacking?
@@chadillac1127 yeah ..blame it on his gear
@@touristguy87 you lost me bro
@@touristguy87 you alright man?
I'd listen to this guy's advice. He knows a little bit about the short game.
Ya hes always chipping
@@lepermessiah9309 Sounds like a dig, but the dude has over 40 tour wins including 6 majors.
Never finished in the PGA top 20 for SG apparently
The man is a genius.
He is a compulsive gambler, a motormouth who double talks - even his mother.
@@RolandEHaywho hurt you buddy? Awfully angry for a Friday morning

Wow. First time getting trolled. I’ve been watching him for well over 20 plus years now. He donates a lot to charity and yes he is a class act to me.

As a 14 handicap you’ll soon come to realize you need a bit more

Phil is a masterclass player of golf. The guy thinks the game better than most and he may be the greatest short game player the game has ever seen

Love this man!
We ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ you Phil, and thanks for this lesson 🌼

It's too bad that the text on the screen blocks out what he is trying to show.
Such an awesome golfer. Thanks for the tip.
His Secrets of the Short Game dvds were the best I've ever studied. This guy knows the tricks
He's at Goat Hill GC. A crazy cool par 3 course in Oceanside Ca
This is such a great tip.
Thank you for the lesson. I just subscribed
Nice one I do that all the time

I started using this technique earlier this year. Now that I've had plenty of reps, it is paying dividends for my short game. 👍👍
Figjam rocking the chip
Masterclass..
Thanks Phil.

I’ll take short game advice from Mickelson over every other golfer on the planet. His flop shot technique has made my game so much better.
Gonna try that
I like my 6 or 8 for this. Tend to skull it with a wedge.
Just the tip...
Thanks phil
Short game god and legend
Instructions unclear. I skulled it through the window of the clubhouse.
I tied the same thing went longer than my driver 😅
LIV should do more of these types of videos to get people engaged
Let's not forget using a putter stroke as well
I’m so happy I found this as a semi-self taught UA-cam golfer
Phil Lookin fit!
I always kill the grass or over shoot trying to chip that far
It works👍👍
I just finished a round of golf and I implemented this technique around the greens and let me tell ya.. it works!
Guter Tipp 👍
Phil showed off his chipping on the first hole after putting off the green
Subscribe button was blocking the ball so was forced to click it to see what's going on. Genius
Great chip
Phil is a goat
I think heel up sounds better than toe down
I’m putting anywhere within 10 feet of the green 😂😂

The shaft was not vertical though. It was leaning
LIV Phil
And this is good when the ground is wet
Watching on mobile & the subscribe button completely covers the ball.

Yeah, but Prickleson's grades at Sorebone were never very good, 'cause he could only cop a 3-wood on the fairway.
Getting the entire leading edge under is not difficult at all...and frankly the ball is never going to hit the entire face.
Man just stop it. You aren't Phil Mickelson and nobody cares what you think.
