I have a 2003 R6, and I see a few drops on the ground after taking it for a ride. I think some oil is coming out of the lower hose going into the water pump. Any idea what the solution could be? Thank you

Yoyoy where did you get your exhaust and fairings. I have a 2003 R6 and can't find much. I just want a smaller aftermarket exhaust and lighter plastics. Thanks!

dhgate.com for the plastics. I actually have a new set on now. Most sellers there will also customize any design you see. The exhaust was on the bike when I got it so I don't know that one.

Do you need to drain oil and coolant to change the pump?

So where is the how to on replacing the shaft seal? Cause all you did was remove the pump and put it back in you showed nothing but removing bolts and clamps.

Tt Ss I start explaining the shaft seal part @ 8:40. I didn't have the tool needed to demonstrate it but I talk through the process.

what tool is needed? after having the same issue as you leaking from the relief hole but that is because the oil pump had to be replace along with the propeller for the water pump i figured out after watching that there is the plastic and rubber seal behind the blade interesting when i ordered everything it did show anything there but the service manual did. The service manual only says remove it with a screw driver with out scratching the shaft LOL it was that easy haha. But i still can find a new plastic and rubber gasket any where online. I am thinking it should have come with the new propeller but didnt

I checked it out, My bike has done that in the past actually (although not to that extreme). Playing with the idle a bit has been my quick easy fix each time. But if nothing changes there are a few other things you could try like your throttle cable slack, should be something you could figure out, If you need help let me know we are neighbors. Also if you want to hit the streets with us this season, hmu.
