The game looks and feels like they literally are using texture and skin assets from smite 1 from UE3 and porting them over to UE5 instead of remaking them from the ground up. The character models, and map textures look almost identical to that of Smite1, even for an alpha, this is UGLY for any game in UE5 even for one made by a much smaller team, that didn't just make over $600mil on smite 1. Re-using old textures from UE5 era and just slapping them into UE5 is exactly what it looks like, this is what I am disappointed with, looks like they are taking shortcuts with Smite2 and asking us as a community to re-buy the game and pay half for all our skins again due to legacy gems being used for 50% of skin purchases. Which is cool, if there was actually that value there and it wasn't simply porting over old textures and skins, that I already paid for. (I have been playing smite off and on since beta)
Smite 2 information that you should also know, take it as FAQ: There is no longer physical and magical damage? Physical and magical damage STILL exist, what changed was that now you do not buy physical or magical damage, now you buy strength or intelligence, the skills scale with one or both statistics, expanding the range of possible builds. Did they rework any gods? Many gods received updates to their skill kits, it was already seen that Neith has changes that make her more comfortable to play, but other gods such as Anubis, Ymir and Anhur have also received changes, among them Anubis received greater changes, a completely new passive and his ult has a new mechanics. These are NOT reworks, just improvements, the gods playstyle is the same. Will all the gods from Smite 1 be there? There will be ALL the gods that are in Smite 1, but they will be released slowly, the alpha will have 14 gods, but it is known that there are already many more (around 30 gods) ready, but they will not be implemented immediately, they will be released with each patch probably, plus there will be gods that only exist in Smite 2 and there will probably be no new gods for Smite 1, leaving Nut as the last goddess. This is what the game will look like? Yes and no, the current graphics will remain, but as for aspects such as the font of the numbers, menus and other sections, they may change during development, according to the statements of content generators who tested Smite 2, the game in 3 months change enough to say that 3 full seasons have passed, so TitanForge is working quickly and efficiently. The game looks the same graphically and the animations are the same! Check your eyes, Smite 2 is much better in its graphics section, the animations are much better done and the tools of the new engine (UE5) allow them to work better and faster. So Smite 2 is better than Smite 1? No, absolutely not, what you will find when you enter the alpha is a game with bugs, server problems and no matchmaking, in all aspects it will be much worse than Smite 1 and it will take 2-3 years to reach the level of Smite 1, but we must not forget that it is an ALPHA, if you look for videos of the alpha of Smite 1 you will realize that it takes time to polish a game.

I HIGHLY recommend you change that jungle buff drop change, you should not have to tell players that the buff camp doesn't drop a buff first time but it will the next time. It's counter intuitive and confusing. Just have it drop a pretend buff, an essence of something greater that explains that the next buff will be stronger with each level of the camp and anyone not paying attention will just think they got a buff and continue to play like normal.
The biggest problem with SMITE is having to hit a button 10 times before the ability goes off. I've gotten in the habit of spamming the trigger button to help the ability to go off. And no I'm not silenced. Sometimes the character starts jumping instead of casting the ability. This has been a problem for a few months now in SMITE. Not sure if I'm going to get SMITE 2 unless they fix this problem.
Finally they changed the way Neith’s weaves get placed!! I’ve been saying for years her only way of placing weaves with the backflip and kills was always her biggest downfall! AMAZING CHANGE❤️
If the enemy team is getting fire giant so u choose to get gold furry wouldn’t it make more sense for gold furry to buff your towers so it makes it harder for those with the fg buff to take them. Vs both teams running to the enemies towers. Theres no incentive to fight or defend.
Smite is one of those games with endless potential but never really found its audience globally. I’m psyched that they are rebooting like overwatch did but I PRAY that they market the hell out of the game. We need a decent game like this!!!!

Well it's pre-alpha for a reason. There's going to be tons of polishing and things to fix. There's a whole year AT LEAST before full release. Just like every single game in pre-alpha, it's not a finished product lol

No, basically jg camps will have different levels (not your character level), At LVL 1 IT WON'T GIVE U A BUFF, then from lvl 2 to 4 it will. lvl2 should have the 5% damage from max HP and then at lvl 4 10%. The level of the camp will upgrade when u kill the camp as far as I know... It's almost the same passive as upgraded bluestone...
I think that's one of the greatest things they're doing. Without the classification of only magical/physical damage characters, they can re-route specific gods into less specific roles. A team that used to be 5 physical gods could be a completely viable team now in competitive. Magical junglers and ADC's can finally be re-classed to better fit their ACTUAL role rather than just being thrown in "mage" It's a great change imo. Looking forward to brand new team comps

There will still be different types of dmg, just that it scales depending on what the stat allows it to be scaled with. Which means that you're gonna need specific god knowledge instead of just knowing that they're physical or magical. This will also ultimately make some tanks less broken during certain comps. Imagine the tank needs to build on physical to tank 80% of the enemies and then just build some dmg in the end. It can be pretty broken. Now tanks will almost always have to build hybrid protections and warriors will be slightly more situational rather than tanky killers essentially.
@@3lietechhack646 Because when balancing the scales of Accessibility and Skill Expression, auto-tracking beads timers would do a lot more to improve Accessibility than it would to reduce Skill Expression. Writing relic cooldowns in chat is just tedious, less of a skill to master and more of a habit to build. It'd be a change that upsets the grognards in the short term, but long term would help improve new-player retention and let the rest of us focus on the more interesting and exciting parts of the game.

You don't always have time to write them down in fights, you sometimes don't notice who used what, especially in a teamfight. Sometimes an enemy might use a relic outside a fight, without being seen by anyone..Making the timer known removes all that. Even if you miss a relic being used, you just press tab and you check. You want to gank someone? Just press tab and see their relics and their support's relics. This is garbage on so many levels. Might as well show you their ability cooldown while we're at it.

I'm really new to this game. I don't understand why I'll have fully upgraded damage and everyone feels tanky as hell and hits me like a freight train lmao. Like i thought damage was not tanky but deals alot of damage and tanks dont deal alot of damage but takes alot.
It really just depends on who you're playing and who you're playing against. You might have a lot of power and flat pen in your build but 0 percent pen. In which case tanks will feel like raid bosses. So switch up some items then try again

I was trying the slayer mode to learn team fights and learn to play, I was on nemesis, but then i learned she was a jungler and she's probably not best choice for that then i seen alot of people using discordia so i tried her, but then i noticed no matter who i play I'm versing the toughest players of all time lol. I'm also using the recommended items which probably isn't good either.

We need more omnipotence! Why have it fridays only and not other days?! Not everyone has fridays off! It would be great if you can let us host our own match and have it showing on servers... Also it would be great if we dont have to remake the private match or public match everytime the match ends.
I really dont undertand tha change in relics as wholle what is worth beads to suport? what is worth beads for a mage with no way to escape? And such a long cool down man, Are you guys making the matches even longer so beads can have more use? Taking cc out of the game so beads has less valeu ? The only thing's that relics change will make is having the matches being even longer and drownout.
The point, I believe, is to make it so that people have to be more thoughtful about build crafting rather than using the same items over and over. If I have to consider whether I wanna have something like sanctuary/ aegis in my build but miss out on stats, or whether I wanna forego that in pursuit of more stats. I don’t think they’ll be taking cc out of the game, in fact with built in beads they’ll likely be adding in more, since everyone can automatically get out of CC at least once every few minutes. We’ll have to wait and see how that affects match times. It’s too early to tell.

Bruh, that red buff affect looks insane. Level 1 gives 15% max health damage of 3 seconds!?!? Am I reading that right?
I think it says 5% max hp dmg over the course of 3 secs, so would be 1.66% max hp per second

I'm really new to this game. I don't understand why I'll have fully upgraded damage and everyone feels tanky as hell and hits me like a freight train lmao. Like i thought damage was not tanky but deals alot of damage and tanks dont deal alot of damage but takes alot.
It really just depends on who you're playing and who you're playing against. You might have a lot of power and flat pen in your build but 0 percent pen. In which case tanks will feel like raid bosses. So switch up some items then try again
@@forsterjurgen I probably need to learn what the stats are doing then cause every match feels like dark souls lol. I was trying the slayer mode to learn team fights and learn to play, I was on nemesis, but then i learned she was a jungler and she's probably not best choice for that then i seen alot of people using discordia so i tried her, but then i noticed no matter who i play I'm versing the toughest players of all time lol. I'm also using the recommended items which probably isn't good either.
@@TheFunnyscool 😂 that's a good comparison. Think of your team mates like summons. If you keep dying to one person on their team try fighting them with a team mate or 2.

I really dont undertand tha change in relics as wholle what is worth beads to suport? what is worth beads for a mage with no way to escape? And such a long cool down man, Are you guys making the matches even longer so beads can have more use? Taking cc out of the game so beads has less valeu ? The only thing's that relics change will make is having the matches being even longer and drownout.
The point, I believe, is to make it so that people have to be more thoughtful about build crafting rather than using the same items over and over. If I have to consider whether I wanna have something like sanctuary/ aegis in my build but miss out on stats, or whether I wanna forego that in pursuit of more stats.
I don’t think they’ll be taking cc out of the game, in fact with built in beads they’ll likely be adding in more, since everyone can automatically get out of CC at least once every few minutes. We’ll have to wait and see how that affects match times. It’s too early to tell.
