Phil Ivey table presence is insane. Very stoic, powerful, and calm. He doesn't talk much or show any emotion when he's winning or losing. He normally doesn't laugh or show that he's tired. He usually runs the card once to emit a message "Don't screw with me, I'm in control at this table." He reads other people really well while others can't seem to get anything off of him. They are also less likely to bluff him due to his intimidating presence. He's just the embodiment of Poker. A well-rounded legend.

They really were the best days of poker. Creativity and natural talent were a big part of success, you had to create your own strategies and there was a lot more action. Now the best players are the ones who study solvers all day on a computer and just do what it says

I know the title is misleading but this was Ivey at his very top. And this was slightly ahead of GTO and hand solvers (which has caught up with Ivey) but he had the best instincts and live reads at the time. But back then (2005 to 2014 Phil Ivey was a beast) He was crushing it online, winning bracelets at the WSOP and we saw him on every High Stakes program. Many top poker players were a bit reluctant on shoving vs Ivey because 80% of the time he would make the right read.

It's hard for Tom to be balanced in that spot. It's hard for him to have many reasonable bluffs, and he actually loses to some hands that Dwan could be turning into some bluffs especially, as you said, the Ad blocks a LOT of his bluffs.

Durrr usually looks like a salivating lion looking at its prey when he has a huge hand. He keeps on looking at the other dude's chips. But he's usually very still and blank when he has nothing, like in this video vs Ivey.
I think there's more to the Ivey vs Booth hand than the cards. It's not a good lay down from a poker perspective. I think Ivey would have called if it wasn't on TV or it was under normal circumstances. Booth looked really confident like he and Ivey both knew what the raise was really about.
