    There is something inherently cool watching Ivey play, he's just such a great player.

      I kinda liked the idea of hold em and kinda started getting interested then I watched Ivey play in 2003 main event and watching him hooked me into playing. I love his intensity and how he intimidates people. As a sports fan he is in my top 10 of watching someone compete at their sport. Hes a straight killer

      Also, I bet ( pun intended ) he has the lowest % of getting out after ( 2 ) cards. He wants to win every hand.

      When you have been playing as long as Ivey man, you’ve been outdrawn, and outflopped so many times you get used to it lol. He’s also outflopped and sucked out on his opponent countless times as well. It’s part of being a professional poker player 🤷🏼‍♂️

    • @Vpopov81
      @Vpopov81 4 роки тому +4

      i was gonna say he seems alot more passive. Probably because the game has changed. In 2003 tight aggressive was taught so lag was prolly easier to run over the table now everyone is lag. Or who knows maybe people tighten up as they age a la doyle brunson chip reese

    • @LucasLincolnn
      @LucasLincolnn 4 роки тому +14

      phil is more tight passive nowadays because the skill gap between him and the rest of the field is way smaller. in the past he could profitably 3bet any two against 90% of the players because of his huge edge post-flop. now the game is very different and all his opponents have a very consistent fundamental understanding of the game. that being said, he's still an elite player.
